Frank Miniter wrote a fantastic article for Forbes entitled “Fast and Furious just might be President Obama’s Watergate” in which he lays out the timeline of the deadly operation and everything that we know up to the present. It is a very good and detailed article and I recommend that everyone read it in its entirety.

Acting on a request of the Oversight Committee the White House released more documents concerning the Fast and Furious scandal late Friday night. We have previously learned that while Barack Obama denies having had any knowledge of this scandal while it was happening that at least three important staff members in the White House did know about it.
These newly released documents are related to these three White House insiders, and the White House claims these documents prove Barack Obama had no knowledge of what was happening in his administration:

US Drone attack kills American born terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki
By now you have most likely heard the news that one of the most wanted suspected terrorists was one of two Americans killed in a drone attack last night in Yemen. His name was Anwar al-Awlaki and he was an American citizen who had become radicalized and was thought to be the brains behind the “underwear bomber” and the Fort Hood terrorist attack.
I happen to agree with this killing because al-Awlaki was a traitor to his country and we all know that the penalty for treason is death. I am happy that the Obama regime took this murderous bastard out, but I have to wonder how the left feels about this. After all, while running for president Barack Obama promised to show the world that America was a just and noble country by telling the world that terrorists caught fighting against America would be given constitutional rights under the United States constitution and would be given a trial by jury with representation as proof that we were better than the terrorists who have no problem beheading innocent journalists.
The left had no problem protesting against George W Bush, going so far as to call him a war criminal and the biggest terrorist in the world for his prosecution of the war on terror, yet here we have Barack Obama authorizing the killing of an American citizen before he has received his constitutional right of a trial by jury. If the left is to be consistent we should see protests and cries of “Obama is a war criminal” any minute now, but I don’t see that happening. Do you?
So far the only vocal critic on this issue has been a Republican, Ron Paul. When are the Democrats in the Congress who were so vocal in their anti-war rhetoric while George Bush was the president going to condemn this act?
Barack Obama approves a $700 million loan to a solar company with ties to Nancy Pelosi’s family
Because the $500 million loan guarantee to Solyndra using taxpayer stimulus money which Barack Obama fast tracked for political reasons worked so well the Obama regime has decided to try it once again.
The Obama regime has finalized a loan guarantee of over $700 million to yet another solar company–Tonopah Solar–but in a stunning and unbelievable coincidence, the number two man in this company just happens to be none other than the brother-in-law of Nancy Pelosi. I am sure that this revelation had nothing to do with the Obama regime’s decision to fund yet another company which would not be viable without government assistance…..yeah, right!
What else needs to be said here? Barack Obama fast tracked the Solyndra loan in spite of the warnings that the company was insolvent simply because he wanted to provide Joe Biden with a nice little backdrop to unveil the regime’s new “green energy” initiative. When the company failed the taxpayers were left on the hook because the regime reworked the loan to prioritize a private investor–who just happened to be a major Democrat contributor–over the taxpayers who funded this fiasco and now the regime is in the process of doing it again, only this time instead of helping a major contributor to the Democrat party Barack Obama is trying to help out a family member of one of the most visible members of the Democrat party.
If this does not reek of the very type of crony capitalism that Barack Obama ran against in 2008 I do not know what does.

When the Tea Party first came into existence it wasn’t taken very seriously by the left, but as the influence of the Tea Party in national politics became more pronounced the left realized that it posed a threat to their socialistic view of America’s future and the attacks began. The left took the “lazy man’s” approach to marginalizing the Tea Party by claiming that we couldn’t possibly be opposed to Barack Obama’s policies because, after all, he is a wonderful man so naturally they tried to claim that we only opposed Barack Obama because of the color of his skin. The Tea Party was nothing but an organized group of racists equivalent to the KKK or Nazi Germany–that became the left’s mantra. Instead of debating the Tea Party on the issues the left began to attack the Tea Party hoping to intimidate people from supporting the movement.
But a funny thing happened; along came a conservative candidate, who was embraced by the Tea Party, for the US House seat in Florida who happens to be both a true American hero and a black man–Allen West. The Tea Party embraced this man because of his political beliefs and they didn’t give a damn what the color of his skin was. But that didn’t stop the attacks from coming.
DHS released an admitted terrorist who entered the country illegally, and they don’t know where he is
Everybody has to have priorities right? Well, the DHS certainly has priorities and they seem to be misplaced priorities if you ask me. Last November I wrote this article about the Department of Homeland Security working in conjunction with the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement office to seize websites belonging to people who are infringing on the copyrights of the music industry by bootlegging music online. While these websites are criminal enterprises and should be cracked down on, I fail to see how this is an issue of national security and it certainly is not an immigration issue.
There are only so many hours in a day, so while the DHS and ICE have seemingly prioritized bootleggers it seems only natural that some other issue must take a back seat to the enforcement of copyright laws. And that issue would be immigration–an issue that does affect national security and is the very reason for ICE in the first place–so in June of this year the DHS misled the Congress and started issuing defacto amnesty to illegal aliens. And then last month Barack Obama gave the DHS the cover it needed when he announced new immigration policy which was basically just an affirmation of policy which was technically already in place.
Senate Democrats to delay jobs bill until after vacation
How many times during–and since–his speech to the joint session of Congress did Barack Obama demand that his jobs bill be passed right away? The answer is simple; too many times to count, hell, he was demanding that the Congress pass the bill even before there was a bill, but still he claimed that it was of the utmost import that the bill be passed right away in order to save the economy.
Apparently it wasn’t so important that Barack Obama couldn’t go on vacation before he introduced his bill, but when he came back from vacation he finally introduced the legislation and up until now nothing has happened. And this is exactly what Barack Obama wanted all along; He intentionally introduced a bill which he knew the House Republicans wouldn’t pass so that he could use it as a campaign issue in his bid for reelection.
But there is one little problem with this plan because it isn’t the House Republicans who are holding up this bill, it is the Senate Democrats who want nothing to do with this legislation. So while Obama is out there demanding that the Congress pas his bill, it is his own party that is undermining his campaign plan.
The Supreme Court will rule on Obamacare before the 2012 election
It has just been learned that the Obama regime will not seek an appeal of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that the healthcare mandate is unconstitutional and will ask the Supreme Court to rule on Obamacare during its next session. This means that the Obamacare lawsuit has basically been fast tracked and a decision by the Supreme Court should be handed down before the 2012 election.
While this is great news because this issue needs to be decided one way or the other as soon as possible, this is a bold move by the Obama regime because it was thought that the “Justice” Department would try to stall this challenge until after the election and I think it shows us that the Obama regime is very confident they will win this challenge. They would call it confidence, but I would call it arrogance because I think that no matter how the Supreme Court rules it could backfire on Dear Leader.
Gunrunner: The federal government purchased weapons and then sold them to drug lords
I have a confession to make, I guess at times I can be a little naive: Shortly after the deadly Operation Fast and Furious was thrust into the public knowledge we learned that somewhere between $40 million and $50 million in stimulus money was used to fund the scandal. I just naturally assumed that this stimulus money was used for the startup and implementation–logistics and surveillance–of the deadly operation and it never even occurred to me that that money might have been used to purchase the weapons which were eventually sold to known Mexican drug lords, but with this report it now seems as if this is indeed the case.
