ABC Anchorman fired for mentioning Barack Obama’s ties to BP
Back when the BP oil spill was the topic of the day we learned the interesting FACT that Barack Obama received more donations from BP than any other presidential candidate in history–including George W Bush, the man who the left claimed was closer to big oil than any of his predecessors.
Doug McKelway–an ABC anchorman–mentioned this FACT on a local broadcast and he was immediately confronted by his boss–news director Bill Lord–who disagreed with McKelway’s portrayal of Barack Obama’s big oil contributors. This confrontation became heated and eventually Doug McKelway was indefinitely suspended.
A new Rasmussen poll shows the New Hampshire governor race is a dead heat
Shortly after the Republican gubernatorial primary was over, Public Policy Polling released a poll that showed John Stephen–the winner of the Republican gubernatorial primary–trailing Governor John Lynch by 12 points, at 51-39%. This poll was conducted before the primary results were in.
Now that the primary is over and John Stephen is the official Republican candidate that will go up against John Lynch in the November election a new Rasmussen poll–the poll that many Americans feel is the most accurate pollster–was released that shows this race is much closer than anyone previously thought. In fact, according to this poll the race is statistically a dead heat.
The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Lynch picking up 48% support, while Stephen, the former state Health and Human Services commissioner, is right behind with 46% of the vote. One percent (1%) prefer a different candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.
New Hampshire Republicans may finally have a viable candidate to run against Governor John Lynch. Just last month this same poll showed then presumed Republican nominee Stephen behind the governor by a margin of 50-39%.
For the first time since he became governor, John Lynch’s favorability rating has dipped below–and remains below–50%. This is always dangerous for an incumbent, and with the news of this latest poll one has to think that the governor has to be getting worried.
There are some interesting internals in this poll: those that think the economy is the number one issue support John Lynch by a 12% margin. However, 76% of those that feel the economy is worsening support John Stephen, while 86% of those that feel the economy is getting better favor John Lynch.
It looks like the economic impression of voters is going to play a major role in who wins this election, 30% of those polled say the economy is improving while 44% of those polled feel the economy is worsening. This could be bad news for the governor and good news for John Stephen.
In John Stephen the Republicans might finally have a viable opponent running against John Lynch for the first time since he was elected. The general election race is just beginning to heat up and if John Stephen can have good showings in the upcoming debates he may just be able to knock off John Lynch.

On the heels of a poll that showed Republican Kelly Ayotte ahead of Democrat Paul Hodes 47-43 percent in the race to fill the seat held by the retiring Judd Gregg, comes a Rasmussen poll that shows lead already expanding.
Rasmussen Reports says it polled 500 likely general election voters in an automated telephone survey on Wednesday and found Ayotte leading Hodes, 51 to 44 percent.
Kelly Ayotte’s lead has jumped to seven points just a few days removed from a tough primary election.
And there is even more good news for Kelly Ayotte:
The poll showed that Ayotte is viewed favorably by 56 percent and unfavorably by 39 percent.
The poll has 44 percent viewing Hodes favorably, 48 percent unfavorably
Kelly Ayotte’s favorability rating is well above 50% while Paul Hodes’s rating is below 50%. The voters know Paul Hodes and a majority of voters do not agree with him; meanwhile Kelly Ayotte is still somewhat of an unknown with many voters so it is possible that her number may come down as the election draws closer and Paul Hodes goes negative–he has already called her a radical, and that was before she was declared the winner. I like to think it will climb as voters decide she is a better option than continuing more of the same failed Obama policies.
The New Hampshire senate seat will prove to be a vital seat to whichever party picks it up. If Kelly Ayotte is able to win this seat she will be a valuable Republican “hold” from a state that had been trending blue over the last few election cycles. If Paul Hodes wins this seat it will help to offset Democrat losses expected in other states.
The race is just beginning, it hasn’t even heated up yet but we know one thing for sure. This is an important seat and it is going to get very interesting over the next two months.

Those words were written by Barack Obama’s “science czar” in his 1973 book entitled Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions. He is advocating for the de-developing of rich nations in order to redistribute the wealth to the poorer nations. He is not advocating for a policy that would raise underdeveloped nations to the levels of the more developed nations, he is advocating policy that would bring down those nations that have achieved success to the level of those that haven’t.
Democrat Eleanor Holmes Norton leaves a voicemail asking for a bribe
Democrat Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton recently made a phone call to a lobbyist looking for a campaign donation. During this phone call she “reminds” the lobbyist about how powerful she is–she has seniority and a chairmanship of a committee with access to stimulus money that this lobbyist is obviously interested in–while mentioning the fact that she has never received a campaign donation from this person.
She is smart enough to never mention that she would require a “donation” in return for releasing money to this lobbyist, but it certainly seems as if this is what she is implying. She seems to be asking for money in return for granting stimulus money to this lobbyist.
This is exactly the type of politics that Nancy Pelosi and the Obama regime promised to end once they gained power, but still nothing has changed. The swamp is still as full as ever; as of yet the swamp has not been drained as Nancy Pelosi promised.

It sounds like a shakedown to me.
In May of this year a Massachusetts school took its students on a field trip to a mosque in Roxbury. The first question that came to my mind was, what happened to the “separation of church and state” that has been written into the constitution by liberal justices over the years? (The constitution never once mentions the term “separation of church and state,” that term comes from a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptists in 1802.)
We live in an age where all references to God have been removed from public schools; we live in an age where a person is not allowed to pray in school because of the fear that the government will be seen as establishing a religion; and we live in an age where schools are not allowed to say the pledge of allegiance simply because the word God appears in the pledge.
How then is it acceptable for the students of a public school to take a school sponsored field trip to a religious organization? Why is this acceptable when all other religious references and traditions are not allowed to even be discussed in the public schools?
Radical environmentalist statists have been trying to rebrand global warming since it became known that the earth has actually entered a natural cooling cycle–this little fact threw quite a crimp in their argument–so they replaced the name global warming with the term global climate change. This way they could make the asinine claim that the earth cooling is actually proof that the earth is warming.
The radical environmentalist statists also found this rebranding of terms useful because they could blame all sorts of different NATURAL disasters–hurricanes, floods, blizzards, earthquakes, and tornadoes–on this new phenomenon. It was a much more useful and diverse term.
Not all of those in the Obama regime are pleased with the results of either term; according to Barack Obama’s science Czar–John Holdren–the term global warming is too benevolent sounding. Last week, at the Kavli Prize Science Forum, he stated the following:
Harry Reid shows up at a clean energy summit in a fleet of SUVs
Harry Reid sponsored an event on September 10th called the National Clean Energy Summit. This event was also cosponsored by the leftist group Center for American Progress.
Needless to say, this event was designed to raise awareness about global warming and to speak out against the evils of oil and coal, while singing the praises of renewable energy. Harry Reid also spoke at this event assuring the radical environmentalists that he was one of them.
But Harry Reid just doesn’t always live up to the same standards that he wants to impose on the rest of the people of the United States and this was one of those times. Harry Reid and his minions pulled up to the event in a fleet of SUVs.
John Edwards once famously said that there were two Americas, and he was absolutely right.
Kelly Ayotte defeats Ovide Lamontagne; now it’s on to the general election
After a long and hard fought campaign Kelly Ayotte was declared the victor over Ovide Lamontagne earlier this afternoon. This election was about as close as can be, with Kelly Ayotte winning by about 1,600 votes.
This election was close enough to allow Ovide Lamontagne to ask for a recount but at about 4:00 today Ovide Lamontagne addressed his supporters and declared that he would “accept the verdict of the people” and would not ask for a recount.
I believe that in our American republic, the people are the sovereign. That means the people are the king, and we are their subjects” Lamontagne said. “Well, the people of Hew Hampshire have spoken and they have ruled. While I’m disappointed with the result, I humbly accept their verdict
