Beto O’Rourke admits he will implement mandatory gun buyback program
When Democrats talk about gun control they always defend their position by claiming nobody wants to take the people’s guns away, they claim they simply want “common sense” gun laws. (Of course nobody defines what the term “common sense” means…)
Apparently somebody forgot to tell Beto O’Rourke the message about sticking to that talking point because yesterday he admitted what we all know–yes, the Democrats do want to take guns away from the American people.
Here is more:
Notice he said you will have to sell them to the government, there is no option there but just in case his intention was not clear enough he said this also:
“And more importantly and politically difficult to say, buy those weapons of war back — mandate that — not voluntarily. Let’s be clear with our fellow Americans. No place for an AK-47 or an AR-15 on the streets of our communities,” Beto said during an appearance on MSNBC on Sunday.
There you have it, that is pretty clear. I had made up my mind that I was not going to bother writing anything about Beto O’Rourke or any of the other Democratic candidates running for President who do not have a shot at winning but I changed my mind on this because I believe this is how all of the Democrats who are running for President actually feel, he is just the first one to admit it.
Remember, there are several Democratic candidates who are now promising to follow the precedent Donald Trump set on border wall funding and are prepared to declare a national emergency to enact new gun control laws, you can rest assured a mandatory buyback (it seems silly calling it a buyback when you do not have an option) will be included.

Many of you know how I feel about Donald Trump and the Second Amendment: The man had been a New York liberal for most of his life until he ran for President and I do not trust him on the Second Amendment.
For the most part he has stayed away from the Second Amendment but he has shown signs of cracking. Most people gave him a pass when he took his pen and his phone and banned bump stocks by Executive fiat in Obama-esque fashion, but now it looks like he is on board with so-called “red flag” gun laws.
As I have written about several times before the so-called “red flag” laws are themselves a red flag because the potential for abuse is great. But we know there are cases where people have stayed in an abusive relationship until it was too late simply because they either loved the person or were too fearful to ask for help.
Well, leave it to the government to come up with a solution for that. Most people have voluntarily added spying devices to their homes, we usually call them names like “Amazon Echo,” “Siri,” and the like, why not use them to record what is going on in your home and report you if it does not like what it hears and does not think you should own a gun?
According to this article Donald Trump likes this idea, here is more:
The Trump administration is considering a proposal that would use Google, Amazon and Apple to collect data on users who exhibit characteristics of mental illness that could lead to violent behavior, The Washington Post reported Thursday.
The proposal is part of an initiative to create a Health Advanced Research Projects Agency (HARPA), which would be located inside the Health and Human Services Department, the report notes, citing sources inside the administration. The new agency would have a separate budget and the president would be responsible for appointing its director.
HARPA would take after Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, which serves as the research arm for the Pentagon. The idea was first crafted in 2017 but has since gotten a renewed push after mass shootings killed 31 people in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, in August.
HARPA would develop “breakthrough technologies with high specificity and sensitivity for early diagnosis of neuropsychiatric violence,” according to a copy of the proposal. “A multi-modality solution, along with real-time data analytics, is needed to achieve such an accurate diagnosis.”
There you have it. The article goes on to say the program will be voluntary but let me ask a stupid question. How many people who are prone to committing domestic violence are voluntarily going to sign up for this? Exactly, which means eventually the program will not be voluntary.
It was only a matter of time before the government began abusing these devices so this is not surprising to many of us. This is how it always works with the government, once they get a foot in the door the government slowly takes more and more and now it looks like they are already looking to strengthen the “red flag” laws and they have not even passed yet. And we have not even mentioned that these devices are all owned by alt-left radicals who might just have an ulterior motive…

MSNBC host: If the Electoral College was not in the Constitution it would be unconstitutional
Since the alt-left sky screamers first discovered in November of 2016 there was this institution called the Electoral College they have been calling for its demise. The Democrats in the Congress are naturally on board and the mainstream media likewise has been calling for its repeal.
To properly repeal the Electoral College would take a Constitutional amendment but that is too time consuming for the Democrats so they have set in motion the National Popular Vote movement, but that is the subject for another day. This plan has been in the works for awhile but has gained steam now that the Democrats have lost one election.
But speaking of the Constitution: MSNBC host Chris Hayes took to the air to slam the Republicans and deride the Electoral College as “undemocratic” and, in Biden-esque fashion, went so far as to say the Electoral College would be unconstitutional if it were not actually written into the Constitution.
“It’s basically this, do we actually really believe in democracy, right?” Hayes said. “The question before us now in the Electoral College question is, are we going to actually live up to the promise of one person one vote. Now, to be fair, it is not surprising the Republicans are defending the Electoral College, right. There’s a very obvious reason for that. Since 1992 we have had seven presidential elections. Republicans have won the popular vote one time, but they’ve gotten three presidents out of it which is a very sweet deal if you’re the Republican Party, right.”
“You can see why on just basic tactical grounds why the Republican Party would want to continue a system in which they can lose a majority of votes and still get all the powers the presidency appointing the Supreme Court justices and judges and signing legislation, vetoing legislation, commanding the army, everything, right,” he continued. “All of that with less votes than the Democrat got. No wonder they like. But I think there’s actually a deeper philosophical thing happening which is the question of what exactly American democracy is for. And the weirdest thing about the Electoral College is the fact that it wasn’t specifically in the Constitution for the presidency, it would be unconstitutional.”
There you have it, how can you argue with that logic?
The only thing I would add is I find it humorous that a man who does not understand the Constitution guarantees a republican form of government is claiming the Electoral College is undemocratic. That was the point of it in the first place.

Poor ole Uncle Joe. I think we are finding out why the former President did not want him to run for President and why he refused to endorse him. It has been a tough few weeks for Barack Obama’s former Vice-President. It has gotten to the point where he is showing signs of sundowning, his handlers have had to cut down on his evening schedule in an attempt to hide it, and he felt the need to assure his listeners he was not going nuts. (That is never a good sign…)
In addition to the normal gaffes we have come to expect from Joe Biden he has forgotten where he was, during what time frame he was Vice-President, and what he was doing during a medal pinning ceremony. And now he seems have become confused while trying to make a point about DREAMers. Here is what he had to say:
“And these kids who come and they end up doing well — they become Americans before a lot of Americans become Americans,” Biden said.
There was an awkward laugh from the audience so Biden pushed back with, “No! I’m serious!”
That makes no sense whatsoever, I suppose he was trying to say sometimes these children do better than American children in school but lost his grasp on the English language and his point for a second and did not recover properly. Have you ever noticed how many time Joe Biden has had to say “I’m serious” after he makes what he believes is a profound point of some kind?
It is actually sad to see a man so addicted to glory, prestige, and power that he does not understand when it is time to give it up and shame on those closest to him for enabling him–perhaps they too are addicted to the same.

Joe Biden tells fake story of pinning a medal on a military hero
A couple of weeks ago Joe Biden erroneously made the claim that he met with survivors of the Parkland shooting when he was Vice President but of course this was a lie because he was not the Vice President in 2018. His supporters and the mainstream media wrote this off as a simple misstatement. He was thinking of the Sandy Hook shooting and simply misspoke.
Okay, even if we give him the benefit of the doubt on that one it is going to be hard for his supporters to explain how he got this next one wrong. It falls along the same lines but this time we meet Joe Biden as Vice President pinning a medal on a Navy hero. Here is how good ole Uncle Joe told the story:
“This guy climbed down a ravine, carried this guy up on his back under fire,” the former vice president said during a campaign stop in New Hampshire last week. “The general wanted me to pin the Silver Star on him. I got up there, and this is the God’s truth, my word as a Biden. He stood at attention. I went to pin it on him. He said, ‘Sir, I don’t want the damn thing. Do not pin it on me, sir. Please, sir, do not do that. He died! He died!'”
There is just one thing…strike that, there are just seven things wrong with that story:
But according to the Washington Post, who spoke to more than a dozen military and campaign sources, “Biden got the time period, the location, the heroic act, the type of medal, the military branch and the rank of the recipient, as well as his own role in the ceremony” wrong.
In a span of about 10 seconds Joe Biden got 7 things wrong about the story (which was the whole story) but The last one is the kicker, he even got his own role in the ceremony wrong. In other words he did not pin the medal on anybody who was shouting at him not to do it. In my opinion that alone puts this in the category of a lie and not a misspeak. You simply do not mis-remember something like that unless it is intentional.
To be fair Joe Biden has pinned a medal on a hero before, he just apparently has no idea who it was–and that is quite disrespectful–and it was not nearly as dramatic as he would have us believe.

Inspector General report finds James Comey violated FBI policies
The long-awaited Inspector General report was released today, shortly before a long holiday weekend of course, and it confirmed the rumor we heard back at the beginning of the month. The report found that James Comey did violate FBI policies when he released his notes on his interview with Donald Trump.
Here is more:
A scathing report released Thursday by the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General found former FBI Director James Comey violated bureau policies and his employment agreement with his handling of official memos.
The investigation concerned memos detailing Comey’s interactions and conversations with President Trump.
“We conclude that Comey’s retention, handling, and dissemination of certain Memos violated Department and FBI policies, and his FBI Employment Agreement,” the report states. It noted that “much of the content of the Memos was directly tied to FBI investigative activities.”
he said Comey broke FBI policies by seeking to share unauthorized information about ongoing investigations with a friend — who then gave the information to The New York Times two months after Comey was removed from the FBI by Trump.
“Former Director Comey failed to live up to this responsibility,” the 83-page report says. “By not safeguarding sensitive information obtained during the course of his FBI employment, and by using it to create public pressure for official action, Comey set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees—and the many thousands more former FBI employees—who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information.”
However Michael Horowitz did not find that James Comey shared classified information and because of this he did not recommend bringing charges against the former FBI Director. And of course we already knew from the rumors at the beginning of August that the fix was in because William Barr had already decided to let him off the hook.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims global warming is going to cause ancient diseases to escape from glaciers
Over the years we have heard the global warming alarmist fear-mongers make some of the most outrageous claims in an attempt to frighten the people into supporting their radical regressive agenda, but Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez might have outdone them all.
The Representative from New York is claiming that diseases which have been frozen for thousands of years will be released into the water and we will not be able to cope with them. Here is what she had to say:
“Things that were frozen for thousands of years, and that they’re going to get into our water, and that humans could contract them, and they’re going to be diseases that are thousands of years old that have vectors that we are not prepared for, that we have never seen. Um…and so that’s a concern…Even if there are no diseases frozen at all in these glaciers, you have diseases that are spread by mosquitoes, and now mosquitoes are starting to fly further north that carry diseases like malaria, and a whole slew of other things.”
She must have realized how silly this sounded and tried to walk it back, but by saying “even if there are no diseases” frozen in the glaciers she is basically admitting she just made that up on the spot. And it did not get any better for Ocasio-Cortez when she continued by saying mosquitoes are going to carry malaria. I am pretty sure mosquitoes already carry malaria…

Earlier this month Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Chief of Staff and her spokesman suddenly resigned amid accusations of campaign finance violations and now it looks as if another “squad” member might be in a little bit of trouble.
According to this story Ilhan Omar might have broken campaign law to finance an affair she was having with a married Democratic consultant. Here is more:
A complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Wednesday alleges freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) illegally used campaign money to help carry on an extramarital affair with a Democrat consultant whose firm she paid tens of thousands of dollars.
Federal campaign finance records show that Omar’s campaign has paid nearly $230,000 since 2018 to the E. Street Group, a political strategy firm of which the lawmaker’s alleged married lover, Tim Mynett, is a partner of.
According to FEC filings, the Minnesota Democrat campaign made eight payments totaling $21,547 to E. Street Group for travel costs between April and June.
The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), the right-leaning non-profit group behind the complaint against Omar, alleges the timelines of the affair and travel payments overlap. As per FEC guidelines, lawmakers are forbidden from using campaign money for personal travel expenses unless the candidate pays the money back using their personal funds.
“If Ilhan for Congress reimbursed Mynett’s LLC for travel so that Rep. Omar would have the benefit of Mynett’s romantic companionship, the expenditures must be considered personal in nature,” NLPC’s complaint reads.
Move along, nothing to see here…

Joe Biden: ‘I’m not going nuts’
A couple of new polls came out today and they show Joe Biden’s lead slipping in about direct relationship to his apparently faltering mind. I am not making light of people who are struggling with Alzheimer’s or with other forms of dementia but Joe Biden’s recent gaffes go beyond the typical mistakes the former Vice President makes and they have people wondering if he is fit for office.
Joe Biden’s handlers are worried about his sundowning and they have sought to limit his appearances, especially later in the evening but that did not stop him from forgetting which state he was in on Friday. Joe Biden has apparently heard people’s concerns and he has a message for them:
“I want to be clear; I’m not going nuts,” the 76-year-old former vice president told an audience in New Hampshire on Friday after being unable to recollect a speech he gave at Dartmouth College only hours prior. “I’m not sure whether it was the medical school or where the hell I spoke. But it was on the campus.”
It is never a good sign when you have to try to convince people you are not crazy. I believe we are beginning to see the end of good ole Uncle Joe.
