Have the Clinton’s Finally gone too Far?

January 28, 2008

 Cross posted on Grizzly Groundswell

bill1.jpg It appears as though the left has finally come to the realization that the Clinton’s are a couple of liars. Or, probably closer to the truth, now that the Clinton’s are attacking their own, the left doesn’t think the Clinton’s lying is so cute anymore.

When the Clinton’s were lying and smearing the Republicans it was all for the common good. It was acceptable. When the Clinton’s smeared the women that Bill Clinton raped, and called them trailer trash and not credible, it was okay.

Now, however, they are smearing the man who was once thought of as a rising star in the Democrat party, Barack Obama. The Clinton’s have purposely made this an election based on race, further hurting race relations in this country. Instead of Obama being able to run on his rather iffy credentials, the Clinton’s have forced him to run on his race. The Clinton’s have turned this into black versus white. So much for the party of inclusion, huh?

But it appears now that many good liberals are beginning to turn on the Clinton’s because of this despicable strategy. Liberals have finally realized the type of people the Clinton’s are and it isn’t pretty.

Robert Reich, former Labor Secretary in the Bill Clinton administration, has accused his old boss of leading a “smear campaign against Obama that employs some of the worst aspects of the old politics.”

“Bill Clinton’s ill-tempered and ill-founded attacks on Barack Obama are doing no credit to the former president, his legacy, or his wife’s campaign. Nor are they helping the Democratic Party,” Reich wrote on his blog.

And:

Liberal talk-radio host Ed Schultz blasted the former president on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews: “[Clinton] lied 10 years ago about Monica Lewinsky and he’s lying about a very viable candidate and somebody who could really bring change in this country [Sen. Barack Obama]. He is embarrassing poor Democrats.”

 But wait, there’s more:

Sen. Tom Daschle criticized “President Clinton’s inaccurate descriptions of the differences between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on the war, about his inaccurate portrayal of Barack’s comments … he made about Republicans.”

 And that’s not all:

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) warned that Obama’s record was being “swift boated” -unfairly attacked. Kerry did not name the Clintons directly as the perpetrators of the “swift boating,” but the implication was clear.

“The fight is just heating up,” Kerry said. “We won’t let them steal this election with lies and distortions.”

 And even more:

Nicholas von Hoffman, a veteran liberal columnist, wrote in Nationmagazine that Hillary Clinton is an “experienced political thug.” He also accused both Clintons of “playing demolition derby politics” and advised Barack Obama to take a word of advice from former president Lyndon Johnson: “[don’t get] into a pissing contest with a skunk.”

Von Hoffman also compared the Clintons’ treatment of Obama to the way they tried to discredit Paula Jones. “In the last couple of days, Barack Obama has found out what Paula Jones must have felt like after being worked over by the Clinton organization,” von Hoffman wrote. “Ms. Clinton goes slap, slap, slap across his face as husband Bill lets the Illinois Senator [sic] have it below the belt.”

Today Ted Kennedy endorsed Barack Obama and mentioned that he was tired of the politics of personal destruction, or something along those lines. So the question is, have the Clinton’s finally gone too far?

That is a question that we will soon know the answer to. By purposely dividing Democrats between the race and gender lines have they finally alienated those that held them in such high esteem? Does the left now realize that the Clinton’s don’t give a fuck about them, that they will do whatever it takes for them to succeed in their narcissistic pursuit of power?

The left is finally realizing, or at least accepting, what the right has known for so, so long. And that is that the Clinton’s are nothing but power hungry, do and say whatever it takes, ruthless, political whores. So, will the voters turn on them? I think not, remember, the ends justifies the means in their minds.

While most logical people realized what the Clinton’s were about long ago, too many emotional people have not. Liberals think with their hearts instead of their heads, and too many of them have not yet had their hearts broken by the Clinton’s.

Bill Clinton ( the first black president) continues to turn Barack Obama into the “black” candidate instead of just another candidate, and continues to show us that the Democrats look at people as different catagories and groups instead of just people. He continues to show us that the Democrats are the true bigots in America by continually seperating people along ethnic lines for political gain.

The Democrat leaders are finally beginning to see the Clinton’s for who they are, but more importantly, do the voters?

Georgia School Pays Students to Take Remedial Classes

January 27, 2008

Yesterday I wrote a post about New Mexico and a lawmaker there who wants to place an additional tax on televisions and video games because your children are too fat and you are too stupid to do anything about it. It was while reading this article for writing that post that I came across two interesting sentences. They were the last sentences in the article and were totally unrelated to the story. They caught my attention and here they are:

Earlier this week, a high school in the US state of Georgia launched another unique initiative to boost the math and science grades of students.

Creekside High School near Atlanta offered students money to attend remedial classes in the two subjects for 15 weeks and a monetary bonus for maintaining a “B” grade average afterwards.

Okay I have a couple of issues with this. Let’s start with the fact that the school is going to pay the students to attend the classes, and then also pay the students if they do well in the classes. This article doesn’t go into whether the reason for paying the students is because of poor attendance, or if these are additional classes. Either way, this is wrong. If they are paying students to go to classes, students who must be skipping classes, than this is a typical case of rewarding bad behavior. Instead of reprimanding and punishing the student, we will just bribe the student to attend class. What lesson is this teaching the student? That the student can get what he/she wants by committing bad behavior. That’s a lesson that the child will take with him/her throughout life. If these are additional classes, it’s only slightly better and it goes hand in hand with my second issue with this policy. The schools are falsely inflating the scores by giving extra credit to a student who is given easier material.

Let’s go into that second point a little more closely. The article calls  this policy a “unique initiative”, but what exactly is this initiative? The school wants to boost the student’s grades, that sounds like a wonderful idea. So how is the school going to accomplish this? Are they going to work more closely with the student to ensure the student gets the help he/she needs? No. Are they letting the student stay after school to receive additional education, possibly but at what cost? As I said, the article doesn’t say whether these are after school classes or not. But regardless of when the classes are being offered, let’s just look at the theory.

In order to boost grades the school is going to give the students an opportunity to take remedial classes in order to maintain a “B” average. This will look good to anyone performing an assessment on the school’s performance when they see that all these students have good grades, but what are they teaching the children? How is this helpful to anyone other than school administrators who are looking to show everyone that they are teaching the children, and the children are learning?

Are the remedial grades being averaged into the student’s normal subject grade in order to artificially boost the student’s grade to make the teacher look good? Are they giving the student easier bonus material to inflate the student’s score? Or are they placing the students in remedial classes who do not necessarily belong there in order to inflate the grades?

Instead of helping to bring a student up and teach him/her, they bring the lessons down. Are the student’s grades being artificially inflated, or is the student being dumbed down?

Which is worse?

The Ulimate Reason not to Vote for John McCain

January 27, 2008

john-mccain.jpg To all you John McCain supporters out there:

It’s obvious you don’t care about illegal immigration, or you wouldn’t vote for McCain and his amnesty policy. It’s obvious you don’t care about conservative supreme court nominations, or you wouldn’t vote for the man who has blocked the most conservative appellate court nominations of president Bush. It’s obvious that you don’t care about free speech, or you wouldn’t vote for the man that has blocked free speech right before an election, the most important time for free speech in the election process. It’s obvious you don’t care about lower taxes, or you wouldn’t vote for one of only two Republicans to vote against the Bush tax cuts. It’s obvious you don’t care about thwarting terrorist attacks, or you wouldn’t vote for the man who wanted to give FOREIGN terrorists the same rights that are guaranteed to AMERICANS under the constitution.

All you McCain supporters must agree with all of these liberal positions that John McCain has or you wouldn’t vote for him. So I will now give you the ultimate reason not to vote for him. I will give you Bill Clinton’s own words about John McCain:

“She (Hillary Clinton) and John McCain are very close,” Clinton said. “They always laugh that if they wound up being the nominees of their party, it would be the most civilized election in American history, and they’re afraid they’d put the voters to sleep because they like and respect each other.”

John McCain and Hillary Clinton are so close, and like each other so much that they couldn’t bear to debate each other. Isn’t that nice? It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. That statement alone should make you realize how similar Hillary and McCain are. That statement alone should send shivers up and down the backs of all those that support McCain. That statement alone should end Republican supposrt for this RINO.

The reason John McCain has polled so well with Independents is because Independents are not conservaative and neither is John McCain. It is time for the conservate revolt against the man who has sided with liberals on every important piece of legislation that has come before the senate. If you want Hillary, vote for Hillary, let us true conservatives pick our own candidate. Stop fucking up our nomination process.

New Mexico Lawmaker Wants to Tax Television and Video Games

January 26, 2008

You can read in this article about a lawmaker in New Mexico, a Democrat of course, who is proposing an additional excise tax on the purchase of televisions, video games, and video game accessories.

“I have asked our legislative council service to prepare the “Leave No Child Inside” bill and am hopeful that it will be ready for me to introduce on Monday,” educator-turned-lawmaker Gail Chasey told AFP.

“The bill proposes levying a one-percent excise tax on the purchase of TVs, video games and video game equipment and would create the ‘Leave No Child Inside’ fund to receive those revenues,” Michael Casaus of the Sierra Club told AFP.

The reason for this? To help fight childhood obesity and improve education.

“The goals of the bill are to improve the academic performances of our kids, to promote a more healthy lifestyle and to provide our children with outdoor learning experiences, using our state parks and public lands as classrooms,” he said.

Now, most people understand, or they used to before the government slowly crept into child raising, that it is the responsibility of the parents to make sure their children are not obese. It is also the parent’s responsibility to ensure their children aren’t watching too much television or playing too many video games. It is also up to the parents to make sure their children get outside and get enough exercise.

This is yet another example of the government using “do it for the children” as a convenient excuse to raise taxes. The government doesn’t think that parents are doing a good enough job raising their children, and in many cases they are right, so they step in with “initiatives” and programs and taxes and fines and laws to try to tell parents how to raise their children. I am sick and tired of the government basically telling America’s parents that we are to stupid to raise our own children. How did it ever become the government’s job to police parenting to this extent?

There have even been activist groups who claim that letting a child become obese is child abuse, or neglect. While letting your child become obese is irresponsible and bad parenting, it is not abuse. But once this mindset has become ingrained into the public’s thought process, it will be easier for the government to regulate (tax). All parents, and others who aren’t parents who just happen to be buying a product that has been targeted, like televisions, will have to pay the price for those parents who are irresponsible.

Hillary Clinton Photographed with Barack Obama’s “Slumlord”

January 25, 2008
tags:

hillaryrealbad.jpg You may remember in last week’s Democrat debate that Hillary Clinton slammed Obama for representing Tony Rezko, a slumlord. This came after Obama felt the need to remind people that Hillary sat on the board at Walmart, as if that is some crime. Walmart has become a target of the Democrats, probably because they are able to provide to the American people what the Democrats fail to. You can tell how hated Walmart has become to the left because of how it set Hillary into the rage which she unleashed on Obama.

Anyway, she attacked Obama for representing a slumlord, there is only one little problem:

rez.jpg

That is, of course the Clinton’s, posing with Tony Rezko during the Clinton presidency. When you accuse or remind people of their shady acquaintances, and you are a Clinton, you have to be careful. There aren’t too may shady characters that the Clinton’s haven’t been in bed with, literally or figuratively.

That looks like some kind of official photograph to me. The blue backdrop with the American flag, that is not just some chance meeting in the night. Hillary naturally says she doesn’t remember ever meeting Rezko, that she has been photographed thousands of times, but this looks to me like more than a casual meeting.

Democrats Admit President Bush was Right, Agree to Tax Cuts

January 24, 2008

Today the House and President Bush agreed on an economic stimulus package. This package includes tax rebates. This is the first thing that the House has gotten right since Democrats took control in 2006.

There is one aspect to this that I find interesting. For years we have heard from Democrats that the Bush tax cuts need to be repealed. The Democrats have refused to make the cuts permanent. All of the Democrats running for president have vowed to repeal the Bush tax cuts. Yet now, in the face of all of this recession alarmism, Democrats decide to grant tax repeals. Is this not an admittance that tax cuts and lower taxes stimulate the economy? Is this not an admittance that the president was right?

So why now? Why would the Democrats suddenly change their tune? It obvious to me now that they knew all along that the Bush tax cuts were what got us out of the Clinton recession, yet they were still against them.

This is why I believe that Democrats have decided to side with the president to cut taxes. I believe that they are so sure that they are going to win the white house that they don’t want to take any chances that they will inherit an economy in decline and thus take the blame for an economic slowdown. They are willing to bite the bullet and agree to the tax rebates, the same rebates that they were against for all these years, because they don’t think Americans will put two and two together and ask why are Democrats suddenly for rebates they have been against. They are taking this chance because they believe the consequences of being in the white house during a recession would be worse than the consequences of flip-flopping on the issue of tax rebates.

Democrats believe that Americans are either too stupid or uncaring to notice this sudden change of position on taxes.

This change of position from Democrats on taxes have just shown us that President Bush was right to cut taxes in the first place and also that they opposed them knowing that the cuts stimulated the economy. Democrats knew that the tax cuts were right or they wouldn’t be going along with them now.

Thank you Democrats for admitting, in not so many words, that President Bush was right for cutting taxes in the first place.

Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta Mulls a Run for New Hampshire Governor

January 24, 2008

Manchester mayor Frank Guinta is mulling a run for governor. Frank Guinta was dubbed by NHGOP chairman Fergus Cullen as the last Republican standing after the 2006 elections that saw Democrats in New Hampshire win over most seats and take control over every branch of state government.

Guinta seized upon Governor John Lynch’s state of the state address to promise fiscal restraint. He also decided to form a political action committee to begin raising money for a possible run. He made this decision after hearing about New Hampshire’s budget woes because of the out of control spending by the New Hampshire legislature.

“having worked on budgets and having listened to legislative leaders,” is not surprised “that over-inflated revenue estimates and runaway spending has gotten us into a deficit situation.”

There are also rumors of a couple of others who may be planning to run on the Republican side. I think their is a perceived weakness to Governor John Lynch right now and Republicans are anxious to try to pounce on it. In 2006 the Republicans fielded a sacrificial lamb in Jim Coburn, who had no shot at winning, this year they feel as though they can regain the governorship.

It is widely believed that the New Hampshire GOP has to field a strong candidate this year to also help save Senator John Sununu’s job. If they don’t it could mean the election of Jeanne Shaheen to the United States senate. The same Jeanne Shaheen that instituted the statewide property tax. The same Jeanne Shaheen whose husband had to resign in disgrace as Hillary Clintons national co-chair because of his despicable remark about possible cocaine dealing by Barack Obama.

The state race is beginning to heat up, hopefully it will be a good year for the Republicans and we can turn New Hampshire back into the independent minded thinkers we once were.

Hillary Clinton is a Communist

January 23, 2008

I don’t usually throw around the “C” word that often, I keep it to myself because throwing around the “C” word can get you into trouble. But the “C” word definitely fits when talking about Hillary Clinton.

pinkohillary1.jpgHillary Clinton is a communist, plain and simple. There I said it. Honestly, I try not to use the word “communist” that often when I post, however I do use it sometimes, I can’t help it. If I were to go back and review all my posts I would probably find that I use it more often than I think. I try not to use it too much because I feel as though people sort of discredit you if you just call everyone a communist. It is my belief that Hillary is going to win the Democrat nomination, and as such it is now time to open fire on her with both barrels. She must be stopped. I am going to offer up proof that she is a communist, I give you her own words:

“We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.”

“It’s time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the
few, and for the few…… And to replace it with shared responsibility for
shared prosperity.”

“(We) …can’t just let business as usual go on, and that means something
has to be taken away from some people.”

“We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up
a little bit of their own … in order to create this common ground.”

“I certainly think the free-market has failed.”

“I think it’s time to send a clear message to what has become the most
profitable sector in (the) entire economy that they are being watched.”

That is truly scary stuff right there. Just look at those quotes about taking things away from people for the common good. What kind of government is she proposing when she talks about the free market as a failure, and talks about the government watching the entities that dare to make a profit off of whatever product they are selling?

Here is definition one of communism:

a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.

Taking away from one for the common good. The common good is more important than the rights of the individual, this is fundamentally the opposite of the principles this country was founded on.

 Definition two of communism:

a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.

The free market has failed, and the government is watching private business profits quotes by Hillary take on another meaning once you realize that government interference in private business is another plank in the communist platform.

Some would argue that these are not communist viewpoints, they would argue that these are socialist viewpoints. To those who offer that argument, I will offer you this, it is from Marxist theory, and is a definition of socialism.

The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved.

Think about it. We are about to head in to the most critical election in many years, perhaps decades, and people need to decide if they want someone who has Hillary’s beliefs running the country. I don’t think we do.

If you think American workers have the right to keep what they earn, just say no to Hillary. If you think American business owners have a right to keep profits they make in their private businesses, just say no to Hillary. If you don’t, you are already lost. Congratulations on living off of the backs of hard working American citizens who are forced to give up our earnings to support your lazy asses instead of our own families.

New Hampshire’s Budget Deficit, Blame President Bush

January 23, 2008

storyjohnlynch-2.jpg Governor John Lynch was handed a Democrat majority in all branches of government in New Hampshire in November of 2006. This was the first time that Democrats had control of all branches in over one hundred years.

It took the Democrats exactly one year to bankrupt the state as we face a $50 million budget shortfall. Governor Lynch was warned as he based his budget on inflated revenue projections that New Hampshire could not sustain an increase in spending of 17.5%. He did not listen to those evil, children hating Republicans.

With the downturn in the economy, the New Hampshire Democrats are now doing what any self-respecting Democrat would do in this situation- blame president Bush. New Hampshire Democrats are saying that George Bush’s economy is slowing down and now New Hampshire has to pay for it.

Democrats raised taxes by $100 million dollars and we are still going to fall short, this is the president’s fault? The truth is Governor Lynch was warned his revenue projections were way off and he didn’t listen.

New Hampshire still faces an unaccounted for $400 million bill for Lynch’s education plan, where is that money coming from?

Today governor Lynch gives his state of the state address and he is expected to talk about being fiscally responsible, it’s just too bad he is a year late with this message.

Bill Clinton Falls Asleep at a Martin Luther King Event

January 22, 2008

bny.jpg I just had to chuckle when I saw this. Bill Clinton, the first black president, fell asleep at an event honoring Martin Luther King. This is astounding coming from the man who as president supposedly did more for African-Americans, ( sorry about the hyphenated-American reference, as I believe we are all Americans without need of the hyphen), than any other president in history, he is on-stage sleeping during a speech. How does he get away with saying he did more for blacks than any other president anyway? I think there may have been one other president who did a little something for black people in this country, like FREE THEM!

Just check out this quote he once made to Dan Rather while he was president:

When he was president, he told Dan Rather, “If I can take a nap, even 15 or 20 minutes in the middle of the day, it is really invigorating to me. On the days when I’m a little short of sleep, I try to work it out so that I can sneak off and just lie down for 15 minutes, a half an hour, and it really makes all the difference in the world.”

What do you suppose he was doing on those nights when he was a little short on sleep while he was president? “Baby put your blue dress on, I’ll get the cigars, I’ll be there in a minute, I have to bomb an aspirin factory first.”
