Hillary Clinton Supporter: “Tim Russert Should be Shot”
In the interest of full disclosure, I did not watch the Democrat presidential debate. I can’t bring myself to although it would be quality entertainment. Apparently the debate didn’t go so well for Hillary on a couple of questions. First she took both side of the issue of driver’s licences for illegals ,(which the governor of her state supports) ,within two minutes, and then she became flustered and gave a predictable Clinton answer on the question of her records as first lady being hidden.
She is running on her experience as first lady, yet president Clinton has ordered her records as first lady to be classified until 2012. So Tim Russert asked her why Bill Clinton had signed a paper classifying her time as first lady, to which she gave a response about how it takes time to release all the documents. Russert then pressed her by asking again why Bill Clinton will not let the records be declassified until 2012, she gave the same rambling response.
Now her campaign appears to be in damage control as Hillary’s top advisers held a conference call with supporters to try and help them to keep their chins up.
One caller in the conference had this to say about Tim Russert:
Another said Russert “should be shot,” before quickly adding that she shouldn’t say that on a conference call.
Nice, huh? I thought having debates was about asking candidates tough questions on the issues so that you could find out where they stand. But evidently you are not supposed to ask Hillary any tough questions, or any other Democrat for that matter. God forbid we actually found out where she stands on an issue. I know where she stands, and there is a fence involved. Russert tried to nail her down and get her to come off that fence, but she didn’t and now he is the one who is being attacked. This is typical of the Clinton smear machine.
Russert better watch his back now that a supporter has said he should be shot, because he just might be shot.
Iowa to Tax Jack-O’-Lanterns
When I first started reading this story, I assumed that the reason Iowa was instituting a jack-o’-lantern tax was something to this effect: Jack-o’-lanterns decay, and when they decay they let off noxious fumes, these fumes rise into the air causing our atmosphere to raise in temperature, this causes the ice caps to melt, which in turn kills the polar bears and floods North America.
But that is not the case. Iowa has a six percent sales tax, but food is exempt from sales tax. So Iowa has decided that since most people don’t eat pumkins, they carve them, pumkins should be subject to sales tax.
What happens if you want to make a pumpkin pie, do you still have to pay sales tax? No, you may fill out an Iowa Sales Tax Exemption Certificate and be tax free. How much money do you think it costs the state of Iowa to print the certificates and enforce the law? Could you ever envision a time in this country when before you buy a food you have to certify that you are going to eat the food or you will be taxed?
Warrantless Wiretapping Revisited, Why the FISA Court is Irrelevant
Democrats have been relentless in their attacks on the president’s so-called “domestic spying program”, this is the program that spies on calls in the United States that originate from foreign, non friendly countries. Somehow this foreign surveillance program has been dubbed as domestic spying, I don’t know how, other than the fact that it has been drummed into American’s heads for so long that the people who really don’t pay attention or even bother to do research on the program just believe what the liberals tell them.
Democrats keep telling the American people that the president should go through the FISA court before the government wiretaps a potential terrorist conversation. But that isn’t the case.
When the U.S. Supreme Court said in 1967 that the 4th Amendment protects telephone conversations in a phone booth from surveillance without a warrant, Justice Potter Stewart said in the majority opinion that the ruling did not address “a situation involving national security.”
That was the judge in the MAJORITY, the majority said that said that the government can’t listen in on a conversation without a warrant, yet the majority believed this did not include national security.
The following year, when Congress crafted a bill to comply with the court ruling on surveillance, the language said nothing in the new rules “shall limit the constitutional power of the president to take such measures as he deems necessary to protect the nation against actual or potential attack or other hostile acts of a foreign power, to obtain foreign intelligence information deemed essential to the security of the United States or to protect national security information.”
The Democrats are either lying their asses off, or are ignorant of the law. I believe they are lying their asses off because according to this article both President Carter and President Clinton used warrantless wiretapping for national security issues and nothing was ever said. But now with an evil Republican doing it, it has to be illegal. The constitution must be being trampled. This is all such demagoguery. People hear the president is spying on them and they get emotional without being rational.
The Democrats know that they are lying to the American people, they are trying to play of their emotions and they have have succeeded to an extent as president Bush has agreed to follow FISA law. He has turned America’s national security over to a court that many believe is unconstitutional because of the rhetoric and lies coming from the left.
I hope they are happy.
Halloween is Destroying the Environment
I guess today will be a day of environmental postings from me as this is now my second, but I can’t resist. Now Halloween is bad for the environment. Children dressing up in costumes and having a little fun is going to destroy the planet. How did we ever survive to become adults, when everything we did as children contribute to the earth’s demise?
“Green Your Halloween” warns against buying “chocolate that’s unsustainably harvested, prepackaged costumes made of non-recyclable materials, lighted decorations that suck energy like a vampire and pumpkins trucked in from thousands of miles away.”
Melanie Lenart, research associate for the Institute for the Study of Planet Earth, said too much waste is generated on Halloween, and people should take the time to reduce their purchasing of disposable items.
“When you start packaging things individually, that just creates more waste, which goes in landfills, and that’s a problem,” she said.
I think too much money is wasted on an organization that calls itself Study of Planet Earth. Can you imagine waking up in the morning and being so miserable that you are worried about people buying candy that is individually wrapped? There has to be something missing in your life.
It’s not just candy though:
The Web site encourages readers to buy pumpkins at local farmer’s markets instead of ones shipped from far away because the environmental costs of food transportation are often overlooked.
“Anything that uses gas or oil is increasing our greenhouse gases, which is increasing the problem of global warming that we’re facing,” Lenart said.
“It’s scary how much food is contributing to our greenhouse gas problem, when it doesn’t necessarily have to,” she said.
It’s also BIG OIL on top of BIG CANDY. Then there is BIG CHEMICALS:
“Most conventional agriculture uses fertilizers and pesticides, which can be problematic,” Lenart said.
And let’s not forget about the costumes:
Because Halloween is all about the costumes, the site encouraged homemade costumes available at used clothing stores rather than the store-bought costumes that are non-recyclable and covered in packaging.
Then there are Halloween lights:
“Green Halloween” also encourages people to limit the amount of lighted Halloween decorations they use.
And last but not least, the trick or treat bags:
encourages trick-or-treaters to carry a reusable tote bag for candy, instead of paper or plastic, which kill marine animals, pollute the environment, and kill more than 14 million trees annually
Dead marine animals, dead trees, polluting the environment, what are these children thinking of. Can’t these little bastards see how they are destroying the planet? This is just insane, talk about people just trying to rain on a parade. These people really are just miserable and want everyone wlse to be miserable.
I have always held the premise that global warming was a hoax being perpetrated on the American people for the purpose of taxing us, but now I am beginning to wonder if maybe these people are just anti-capitalists looking to bring down the system
Stop Global Warming, for the Children

Do it for the children.
That is a phrase that we all know the Democrats love to use right before they try to tax the hell out of us. We must do it for the children, think about the children. How about this idea, let the parents worry about their own children. A recent example of this was the SCHIPS bill. This bill re- defined children up to the age of 25. Do it for the children. But that is not this issue I am writing about today.

New Hampshire Senator Judd Gregg Endorses Mitt Romney
Mitt Romney today picked up an endorsement by one of my New Hampshire senators, Judd Gregg. He added a little humor while endorsing Romney.
Sen. Gregg says he “never thought I’d endorse a governor of Massachusetts for anything, but, I never though the Red Sox would win the World Series twice in my lifetime, either.”
What are Gregg’s reasons for giving Mitt his endorsement?
“We need a can-do problem solver who understands the philosophy of a approaching a problem from a conservative position in Washington,” Gregg said.
He said Romney has run a solid traditional New Hampshire primary campaign by meeting with citizens and hearing their concerns and ideas in person.
“We need someone who’s got the vision and optimism to lead the country, someone who understands the key issues we confront, which is the threat of Islamic fundamentalism and ensuring that the Baby Boom generation can retire without going bankrupt,” Gregg said.
He also cited Romney’s “can-do, get-it-done, let’s-solve-the-problem optimism.”
New Hampshire Lawmaker Wants to Ban DWT
I know what you are thinking, “what the hell is DWT?” Is it anything like DWI or DUI? The answer is yes and no. Yes because the “D” stands for driving, but that is where the similarities end. DWT stands for driving while texting, and it appears to be the next big issue that New Hampshire legislators have to deal with. Going after mandatory seatbelts, and cell phone bans while driving weren’t enough so they are back for more. It’s all part of the new Nanny State mentality that the influx of political refugees from surrounding states has brought with them. Screw the Mexican border, we could use a fence on the New Hampshire borders.
Sometimes called “DWT” — driving while texting — the issue is beginning to gain attention after several fatal crashes in other states involving drivers who were text messaging or typing on laptop computers.
State Rep. David Campbell, D-Nashua proposed measure would include laptops and game systems as well as cell phones, but would only ban two-handed typing or texting. “You need at least one hand to operate a motor vehicle,” said Campbell, who said he uses a hands-free, voice-activated device in his vehicle.
Now don’t get me wrong I am not defending a person’s right to engage in these types of activities. It doesn’t take a genius to realize that texting or using your laptop while driving is dangerous and stupid, but do we really need a law to outlaw this type of behaviour? Once again the Nanny State of New Hampshire has to step in and legislate stupidity. That is the Democrat’s whole idea of legislating, banning everything. They exist to look out for us because we are not able to take care of ourselves. I know that by texting while you are driving you are also putting others at risk, but come on. People need to take responsibility for themselves, they can’t be so reliant on the government that they can no longer think for themselves. Although that is what the Democrats want from the people, Lemmings who can’t think for themselves and are totally reliant on the government so they can control them.

Middle School That Hands out Birth Control to 11 Year Old Children may Face Legal Action
The King Middle School in Maine, which voted to allow 11 year old dhildren to get birth control pills and condoms without parental notification, may now face a court battle. The district attorney stepped in and ordered the school to obey the law and report the student because it is illegal for people under 14 to have sex in Maine, even with another 14 year old. While this was a step in the right direction, it didn’t go far enough in the eyes of one group.
The Christian Civil League of Maine called on Maine Attorney General G. Steven Rowe to investigate “possible criminal activity” at King Middle School. The group pointed to a Maine law that makes sexual intercourse between two persons legal only if both partners are at least 14 and the age difference is no more than five years.
Michael Heath, executive director of the Christian Civic League of Maine, told Cybercast News Service the school’s assertion that students had come to the health center and admitted to engaging in sexual activity suggested the commission of a crime.“What we are seeking is an investigation because the law is so clear, and there’s an admission here by officials of illegal activity,” Heath said.
The school, while I don’t think they are actually breaking the law, is helping to encourage children to break the law. So, I guess they would be accomplices, and in fact that would make them lawbreakers after all.
I want to see this matter brought to the limelight like this. I want the school to keep having to defend themselves or drop the policy. Perhaps all the added attention will help them to realize what they are doing. What they are doing that I strongly disagree with is that they are trying to take away the parents rights to raise their child the way they see fit. Parents are slowly becoming less involved in every aspect of their children’s lives, either willfully or obliviously. The school has no right to take away the parents when a child asks a nurse for birth control, it is the parent who should make that decision. The parent is the first one who should find out, it should not be hidden from them.

The senate reached a compromise on Thursday to extend the federal ban on internet taxes for another seven years. This is the longest extension of this ban so far. New Hampshire senator, John Sununu played a key role in getting this extension completed, although it didn’t go as far as he wanted. John Sununu wanted the ban to be permanent, but you know how Democrats are, they will never accept a permanent ban on taxing anything, they have to leave the door open to new taxes, especially if Hillary is elected president.
The New Hampshire Republican said yesterday he was set to force an up-or-down vote on a bill he co-sponsored calling for a permanent ban when leading Democrats approached him to bargain. He said that although the seven-year ban is not “optimum,” it is “the longest one we’ve ever had and nearly twice as long as the (four-year) ban passed by the House.
The bill now has to go before the house and be passed by more Democrats who are willing to NOT tax something before the bill can go to the president.
There are currently nine states that already do tax internet usage, my state of New Hampshire included, that are grandfathered and are allowed to tax the internet because the taxes were in place before the ban took effect. Sununu’s original bill would have ended the granfather clause and required the nine states to drop their internet tax. He wasn’t able to get that part of the bill passed and so New Hampshire and eight other states will still be able to tax us.

Do Nothing Congress Shortens it’s Workweek
Didn’t the Democrats promise to be the hardest working congress in history when they were elected? They branded the Republican led congress before them as the “do nothing congress”. This Democrat controlled congress has gotten none of their agenda signed by the president. This is truly the do nothing congress. President Bush has out maneuvered them at every turn, and they have failed to pass their agenda.
How does the Democrat led congress try to do away with the do nothing label that is being applied to them? By doing more nothing.
The House majority leader, Representative Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland, told fellow Democrats this week that the House would not be in session next year on Fridays, except in June for work on appropriations bills.
That’s right, they are getting too much nothing done in a full week so they need to cut back their hours and then they will be able to get the same amount of nothing done in less hours. Makes sense to me, why work more hours when you can get the same nothing done in less hours?
They try to pass this off as going home to visit their constituents and see their families.
Explaining that decision to reporters, Mr. Hoyer said, “I do intend to have more time for members to work in their districts and to be close to their families.”
BULLSHIT, they are frustrated that the man that they have labeled an idiot and a moron has been able to stifle them and their agenda. They are afraid that they are exposing themselves as the true idiots and the less time in the limelight the better, so they think.
President Bush took this as an opportunity to hammer the do nothing Democrats, and expose who they really are.
“This is not what Congressional leaders promised when they took control of Congress earlier this year,” Mr. Bush said. “Congress needs to keep their promise, to stop wasting time, and get essential work done on behalf of the American people.”
The truth is that promises don’t mean anything to Democrats, they will say anything to become elected. They know that they will never be called on their lies because they are in bed with the mainstream media.
