Father Sues Church That Protested his Marine Son’s Funeral
If you have never heard of the Westboro Baptist church, I will fill you in on who these scumbags are. This is a group of people who claim to be Christians that go around and protest at funerals for our soldiers who were killed in action. These bastards believe that the reason our soldiers die in Iraq are retribution by God because America is accepting of homosexuals. They have carried picket signs at some of the funerals of our fallen soldiers that read things to the effect of “God hates fags” and many other derogatory references. As a matter of fact their website is called godhatesfags.com. If you click that link, be warned, you will find articles such as “Thank God For the California Fires”, I’m not making this up.

You may remember this story I posted about not too long ago. It is about the King Middle School in Portland Maine that will give out birth control to 11 year old children without parental consent and without ever notifying the child’s parents. Well I now have an update on the story, and it is a positive one.
After King Middle School moves to offer birth control, the District Attorney says schools must report anyone under age 14 who’s having sex.
Portland’s school-based health centers have not been reporting all illegal sexual activity involving minors as required by law, but they will from now on, city officials said Thursday.
“When it’s somebody under age 14, it is a crime and it must be reported,” Anderson said. “The health care provider has no discretion in the matter. It’s up to the district attorney to decide.”
Anderson said she contacted Portland officials after she learned that some employees of the health centers, which are operated by the city’s Public Health Division, believed they could decide whether a child’s sexual activity constituted criminal abuse.
The district attorney has stepped in and ordered the school to report what is a crime that they were accomplices to. Thank God that the district attorney, Stephanie Anderson, has some morals at least.
“It’s clear that it’s going on all the time,” Anderson said. “Either the law is going to be enforced or it needs to be changed. I don’t think a law should be routinely violated.”
That is the true matter of the case here. What good is having a law if it isn’t enforced? There might as well be no laws if that is the case. The fact is that in Maine it is illegal for a person to have sex with a person under 14, even if you are also 14. So the truth is that laws were being broken and it was swept under the table. Parents were having the right to care for and discipline their children the way they see fit taken away from them, and the schools turning into the caregivers for the children. Now the school must follow the law. Novel concept, huh?
Perhaps the parents spoke loud enough to be heard, or perhaps the district attorney was doing her job on her own. It doesn’t matter all that much. If it was outrage by the people that brought this about, it shows us what can happen if we speak long and loud enough. If the DA was just doing her job, then we know that there are still good people out there willing to fight for us.
Either way, it looks like a positive outcome will follow from this despicable story that never should have been allowed to happen in the first place.

What Do They Mean By “Coexist”?
I am a field installation person for the company I work for. This means that I go to my shop from home and then take a company vehicle to the job-site. I travel any where from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours to the job-site, and then back again at the end of the day also. I am a person who loves to read bumper stickers as I drive to kill the time. I have noticed some trends over time. Most notably the now famous 1-20-09 end of an error bumper sticker. I remember seeing my first one, not knowing what it referred to until I could catch up to the vehicle to read it. Over time I have seen more and more of these stickers, they are pretty popular now. I saw my first John Edwards ’08 bumper sticker today on a vehicle with New Hampshire plates, this disturbs me.
A couple of months ago I saw another bumper sticker that made me speed up to read it. Read more…
Latest New Hampshire Primary Poll (10/25/07)
This latest poll was taken by St. Anselm College’s Institute of Politics. Clinton and Romney are holding firm to their leads.
Hillary maintains her 21 point lead over Obama by a 42.6% to 21.5 % margin. Edwards is third at 13.9%.
Romney leads Rudy by a 32.4 %to 21.8% margin. Up from a six point lead in the last poll. McCain is third at 15.2% and coming in fourth is….Ron Paul at 7.4%. Fred Thompson is nowhere to be seen, in the polls or in the state.
Paul did not register in the last poll while Thompson was at 10%. If you want to read my take on why Paul seems to be gaining momentum in New Hampshire, while Thompson is losing momentum, check out this post.
A New PAC Forms to Fight Hillary…..By Liberal Democrats
![]()
A new political action committee has been formed to fight against Hillary Clinton. What is shocking about this new PAC is who it is that has formed it. Liberal Democrats who feel Hillary isn’t liberal enough for them. Now that is a scary thought, isn’t it?
“We think there are other Democratic presidential candidates who are both more progressive and have a better chance of beating the Republicans than she does,” said the president of Democratic Courage, Glenn Hurowitz.
I can understand their apprehension about Hillary not being able to beat the Republican nominee, because her negatives are so high, and she is polarizing and could be the one candidate that motivates the Republican voters against her, but her liberal, I mean progressive credentials aren’t strong enough?
Who is this group endorsing?
He declined to tip his hand on the group’s case against Clinton, but said the PAC plans a paid media campaign in the early primary states to make its position clear.
“We have no plans right now to back any particular candidate,” Hurowitz said.
We don’t know yet, I would speculate Obama, that’s not really going out on a limb though, is it?
Once the ads start appearing here in New Hampshire I will try to update everyone on who they are endorsing, and what the ads contain.

The DREAM Act is Back Again
We just can’t get rid of the DREAM act it seems. These people are relentless, they keep coming back time and time again. This version of the DREAM act doesn’t have the provision that would grant in state tuition to illegals at least.
This version would grant legal status to anyone under 30 whose parents brought them into the country illegally while they were under 15.
In a statement on its (NumbersUSA) Web site, the group said that a 30-year-old illegal alien “could claim that he illegally entered the United States when he was 15, but there is no requirement that the alien prove that he entered the United States at the claimed time by providing particular documents.”
“The proposal would merely require him to ‘demonstrate’ that he is eligible, which in practice could mean simply making a sworn statement to that effect,” the group said. “Thus, it would be an invitation for just about every illegal alien 30 and under to fraudulently claim the amnesty.”
This is just another amnesty plan, no matter how loudly we speak out against this issue the politicians keep bringing it back.
We have a president who supports granting amnesty to illegals, this is an issue I strongly disagree with the president on, and we came damn close to having that travesty of an immigration reform bill passed. The people spoke out and the politicians heard us. However they are coming back again with another amnesty bill, they keep changing the wording, but it is the same thing. We need to speak out again and stop this bil..
The part that worries me the most is that after the 2008 election we face the possibility of having a liberal president with a larger majority in congress. Even if we manage to hold off the amnesty bills for the next year, there will be no stopping it if the scenario I mentioned above comes true.
Please remember this when you step in to the voting booths next November. Do not let your anti-war vote lead to the unintended consequence of amnesty for illegals.
So far President Bush has failed to get the amnesty legislation passed, let’s not make it easier on Washington to pass this legislation after the next election.
Harry Reid: “Global Warming is Responsible for California Wildfires”
It was only a matter of time before a politician , and I would have correctly guessed a Democrat, would blame global warming for the wildfires in California. Today Harry Reid did just that.
“One reason why we have the fires in California is global warming,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters Tuesday, stressing the need to pass the Democrats’ comprehensive energy package.
If we only pass the Democrats plan we will have no more fires.
This man is disgraceful, can you imagine using something like this to push a political agenda? With so many people losing everything they own, and so many others facing the horror that they may also lose everything, Harry Reid thinks this is a great opportunity to push his agenda.
Harry Reid placed his Democrat agenda ahead of the people who are suffering. Isn’t the Democrat party supposed to be the party of the little people? It sounds like they care more about votes here, screw the people that lost their homes, we have an agenda to pass here.
Harry Reid totally forgot, or just neglected, the fact that at least one of the fires was arson. Perhaps the arsonist had sunstroke because of global warming and didn’t realize what he was doing.
I just find it sad that a politician can look at such a tragedy and his first thought is, how can this help me politically?
RNC Threatens New Hampshire with Loss of Delegates if the Primary is Before February 5th
New Hampshire law requires that the New Hampshire primary be held at least a week before any other primary. The Democrats were the first to go after New Hampshire’s first in the nation primary status because they feel we are “too white” and don’t represent a cross section of American voters. Howard Dean threatened to remove New Hampshire’s delegates from the Democrat National Convention. Now the Republicans are threatening to remove half of our delegates to the Republican National Convention if New Hampshire moves it’s primary up before February 5th.
State Republican Chairman Fergus Cullen yesterday shrugged off a national GOP panel’s decision to withhold half the state party’s delegates to the Republican national convention next summer.
The unanimous recommendation by the 27-member Republican National Committee’s executive committee was issued as punishment for the New Hampshire’s GOP’s intention to follow state law, as it always has, and hold its presidential primary on a date selected by Secretary of State William Gardner.
An RNC rule forbids any state from holding a presidential delegate selection contest prior to Feb. 5, 2008. The same rule was in effect in 2004 but was not enforced because there was not a contested GOP primary and no one in the RNC complained, RNC Chair Robert “Mike” Duncan said during a conference call.
Because other states have rushed to the front of the line to get their primaries in earlier than ever before the Democrats and Republicans are looking to punish New Hampshire for upholding state law by holding the New Hampshire primary one week earlier than any other primary.
State Republican Chairman Fergus Cullen isn’t going to roll over and play dead:
“If we’re being asked to choose between protecting and preserving the first-in-the-nation primary or being a delegate to the national convention, we’ll give up our delegates,” Cullen said. Cullen noted that “RNC rules are in conflict with state law, and we’re being punished for something we have no control over.
“But we will gladly pay the price. The New Hampshire primary isn’t about delegates. It’s about candidates proving their ability to win support across a broad electorate,” Cullen said.
Now here is a man standing on principle and not caving to the pressure. He is standing up for what he believes in even if it costs the party delegates, and I admire him for that.

New Hampshire 1st District Republican Candidates Assail Government Spending as they Look to Unseat Carol Shea Porter
A Republican Committee in New Hampshire recently hosted a breakfast with Jeb Bradley and John Stephen, both of whom are running against each other in the Republican primary for the New Hampshire First District Representative seat currently held by congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter.
Carol Shea-Porter beat incumbent Jeb Bradley in the 2006 elections, he is now running for a chance at a rematch. John Stephen ran against Jeb Bradley in the 2002 primary election and lost.
Said Bradley:
“I didn’t forget where I came from,” he said. “Everybody in this room had my cell phone number because I wanted to be accessible and accountable.”
Democrats in Concord and Washington do not represent New Hampshire because they are on a spending spree, he added.
Bradley said the most important issue for Congress, however, must be winning the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He said he regrets neither his votes in favor of authorizing the wars nor his support for those wars.
John Stephen had this to offer:
“This is not just in the last year, folks; in the last five years there has been 1.5 trillion in deficit spending,” said Stephen said, who recently stepped down as the state’s Health and Human Services commissioner to run for the House seat. “That represents $1,000 for every man, woman and child for each of those last five years. That money has to be made up.”
Stephen also took aim at what he called a growing Washington, D.C., influence on New Hampshire.
“What I have seen in the last five years is more and more Washington values being brought into this state,” he said. “Not only has the situation stayed the same in Washington, over the last five years it has gotten worse.”
New Hampshire can’t go wrong with either of these men in the US house of representatives, but I am supporting Jeb Bradley as I thought he was doing a very good job as my representative and did not deserve the fate that befell him when the blue wave swept over New Hampshire in the last election.
Which ever man comes out of the primary on top I will support over our current moonbat Rep., Carol Shea-Porter. Hopefully New Hampshire is ready to do right by the man that was wronged in the last election and put Jeb Bradley back in the first district house seat. Carol Shea-Porter’s approval rating is below Bradley’s at the time of the last election and her seat is ripe for the picking.
Stand up New Hampshire and do the right thing.

Nobel Literature Prize Winner : “September 11th Wasn’t that Bad”
Doris Lessing, who won the Nobel Literature Prize recently said the following:
“September 11 was terrible, but if one goes back over the history of the IRA, what happened to the Americans wasn’t that terrible,” the Nobel Literature Prize winner told the leading Spanish daily El Pais.
“Some Americans will think I’m crazy. Many people died, two prominent buildings fell, but it was neither as terrible nor as extraordinary as they think. They’re a very naive people, or they pretend to be,” she said in an interview published Sunday.
We are either naive or pretend to be because why? Because September 11th had a profound effect on many of us? Because we tend to put an attack on our soil above what happened with the IRA in another country? Of course we are going to put precedence on an attack on us above attacks on other countries, if this make me naive, then I am guilty.
Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the Sept. 11 attacks. About 3,700 died and tens of thousands of people were maimed in more than 30 years of violence in Northern Ireland.
Let me put this in perspective, 3,000 people were killed in one day on September 11th. 3,700 people died in thirty years of fighting in Northern Ireland. If my math is correct that would be about 123 deaths a year. 3000 deaths in one day versus 123 deaths a year, and we are being naive? I don’t think so.
Doris Lessing won the Nobel prize for literature, so I am no match for her in a literary sense, but I am going to try anyways. So, Doris, here is a little literary prose for you:
FUCK YOU
