Did CNN commit a crime in finding the creator of the Trump ‘Wrestlemania’ Tweet?

July 5, 2017

As you all know by now the mainstream media went into full meltdown mode after Donald Trump retweeted a gif in which the President attacked CNN in a Wrestlemania video last Monday.

As it was their logo which was superimposed on the head of the victim CNN took the tweet exceedingly hard, eventually tracking down the creator of the gif and allegedly threatening to dox him if he did not apologize and then bragged about it on air.

Here is part of the statement CNN released:

Happy Independence Day

July 4, 2017

josiah-bartlett-2Happy Independence Day everybody! I have a standard post I usually share today but I have decided to change it up this year.

I live about 1/2 mile away from Josiah Bartlett’s home and his grave-site so I thought I would share a little local Revolutionary history this year. Most of you are probably asking yourselves who is this Josiah Bartlett? And it is not surprising because this man has been mostly forgotten by history among the more famous names from the Revolutionary period.

Josiah Bartlett was appointed as a delegate for New Hampshire to the second Continental Congress in 1776. When the vote was taken for independency New Hampshire was called upon first and Josiah Bartlett cast the first vote in the affirmative.

When the Declaration of Independence was signed, Josiah Bartlett was the second person to sign. According to local folklore, Josiah Bartlett personally took the pen from John Hancock before he attached his signature directly below the most famous signature in United States history. We do not know if this is how it actually happened, probably not, but the fact remains New Hampshire played a key role albeit it is largely forgotten.

I drove around my neighborhood yesterday and took a few pictures to share. First up is the historical marker across the street from his house:

Next up is a picture of his house. His house is still lived in today, until recently it was owned by the family but a couple of years ago it was sold to another family and is currently up for sale again. One of the owners of the house was sitting on the farmer’s porch on the side of the house so I just took one picture from across the street. Here it is:

And here are a couple from his grave:

It is pretty cool living so close to such a historical figure and I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about one of the lesser known figures of the time.

Firewall with Bill Whittle: ‘The Truth vs CNN’

July 3, 2017

It has been awhile since we heard from Bill Whittle but he is back with a new Firewall video entitled “The Truth vs CNN” and it was well worth the wait. In this video he uses the editor of Newsweek magazine’s claim that media bias would be worth about 15% at the polls in 2004 and then goes on to show what the results of all the elections since 2004 would have looked like without media bias based on this claim. It is a striking difference! Just for the record I hate the term “nothing-burger.”

The mainstream media is in full meltdown mode over Donald Trump’s ‘Wrestlemania’ Tweet

July 2, 2017

Before I get to the substance of this post I would like to reiterate my position that I believe it is time for Donald Trump to stop Tweeting and get back to the business of running the country without these self-inflicted distractions.

As you probably already know by now, earlier today the President Tweeted out a video where he attacks a CNN reporter aka WWE Wrestlemania style. In the interest of writing this post I just watched the video and it reaffirms my position that Donald Trump needs to stop this at once. This might play well with his base but it is not helpful to his agenda.

Having said that I am struck by the mainstream media’s duplicity when it comes to people and their rhetoric inciting violence. The mainstream media is in full meltdown mode, here is some of what they are saying:

July 2, 2017

open-threadHere is the open thread for Sunday, July 2nd. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.

Last week  we discussed 12 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.

In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.

All 17 intelligence agencies did not conclude that Russia tried to hack the election

July 1, 2017

The term “consensus” does not seem to mean what it once did. We have been told for years that 97% of all scientists believe that man-made global warming is real but that is based on a lie:

First let me restate the 97% number is based on a lie (the words in bold are mine):

The origin of the “97 percent” statistic has been traced back to a 2009 study by University of Illinois/Chicago graduate student Kendall Zimmerman, who sent a survey to 10,257 earth scientists asking them two questions:

“When compared with pre-1800s levels, do you think that mean global temperatures have generally risen, fallen, or remained relatively constant?” and

“Do you think human activity is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures?”

Eighty-two percent of the 3,146 scientists who completed the survey (a 30.7% response rate) answered “yes” to question 2.

So only 30.7% of the scientists who were surveyed bothered to answer the survey and of that 30.7% only 82% answered yes to the question of global warming being man-made, so where does the 97% number come from?

That figure included 75 of the 79 individuals (97.4%) who self-identified themselves as climate scientists.

The survey was sent to over 10,000 scientists and out of that group 79 of those who bothered to answer the survey identified themselves as climate scientists, and out of that number 75 of them said global warming was man-made. So it turns out for all the hoopla this whole notion that 97% of scientists believe global warming is man-made we are taking the word of 75 scientists out of a total of over 10,000 scientists.

And ever since the second debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump when the failed Democratic Presidential candidate declared all 17 intelligence agencies agree that Russia tried to hack the election this has been posited as the truth.

However in recent days two news outlets which have been pushing this narrative, the New York Times and the Associated Press, have been forced to issue corrections about this number.

First, here is the correction the New York Times was forced to make:

Correction: June 29, 2017
A White House Memo article on Monday about President Trump’s deflections and denials about Russia referred incorrectly to the source of an intelligence assessment that said Russia orchestrated hacking attacks during last year’s presidential election. The assessment was made by four intelligence agencies — the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency. The assessment was not approved by all 17 organizations in the American intelligence community.

And this is from the Associated Press:

The AP clarified:

In stories published April 6, June 2, June 26 and June 29, The Associated Press reported that all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies have agreed that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump. That assessment was based on information collected by three agencies – the FBI, CIA and National Security Agency – and published by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which represents all U.S. intelligence agencies. Not all 17 intelligence agencies were involved in reaching the assessment.

Hillary Clinton lied about there being consensus between all 17 intelligence agencies during the second debate and the all-too-willing mainstream media has run with it ever since without ever checking to see if it was factual because they wanted it to be true and now they have been caught promulgating a lie. It turns out only 4 of the intelligence agencies came to this conclusion.

I am not saying Russia did not try to hack the election, I am certain Russia did try to hack the election, but what I am saying is when the mainstream media promotes a lie in order to push an agenda without taking the time to fact-check it their integrity and credibility are both called into question.

Impeaching Donald Trump is not enough for Maxine Waters, now she wants him exiled?

June 30, 2017

One of, correct that, the leading voice for the impeachment of Donald Trump in the Congress is Maxine Waters but now it appears as if even impeachment is not enough for her.

It has been fun watching the Democrats, especially “leaders” such as Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters, melt down publicly over the election of Donald Trump but now the Representative from California is showing she has completely lost her mind. It is kinda sad at this point, but not really…

Did Chris Matthews suggest Donald Trump should execute Jared Kushner?

June 30, 2017

I am no fan of Jared Kushner however I would never go so far as to say he should be executed because I do not like him or agree with him. That goes without saying because obviously nobody would suggest something so extreme even in jest, right?

Wrong! Somebody did do just that and what is the most troubling aspect of this is that the person who did so just happens to be a person in the mainstream media and it was suggested on his television show. That person is none other than Chris Matthews, here is how it went down:

Matthews said, “And now we find Kushner, in the Middle East, brokering the Middle East peace process, whatever it is, among the Arabs and the Israelis and Likud and everybody else. Meanwhile, Tillerson’s sitting around doing what? He can’t even appoint his own deputies. The power seems to have gone to the son-in-law. This is the Romanovs. Just a thought, the Romanovs. Is it?”

He later added, “And then you find out, in all these investigations that Jared was opening up a tunnel to Moscow, so that he wouldn’t have to deal with the State Department. So, the son-in-law — you know, one good thing Mussolini did was execute his son-in-law. … I know that was an extreme measure. But this was — this is a strange situation.”

The key word in his statement is “but.” After talking about Mussolini executing his son-in-law Chris Matthew said “I know that was an extreme measure but” before saying “this is a strange situation.” So he is comparing the two situations and drawing a similarity.

In no way do I think that Chris Matthews actually condones the execution of Jared Kushner, he probably just gets his rocks off fantasizing about it, (which is odd, sick, and deranged) but we have learned from the Steve Scalice shooting in Washington DC that there are sick alt-leftists out there who are so upset at Donald Trump for having the audacity to win an election and try to make good on his campaign promises they are willing to take  up arms against Republicans and rhetoric such as this is all that it takes to push them over the edge. Earlier today there was another example: an alt-leftist was in court for threatening to kill a Florida Republican lawmaker.

Words have meanings and this was unbelievably irresponsible, Chris Matthews should face consequences for what he said, I just hope we do not see another repeat of what happened at that baseball field a couple of weeks ago.

The House passes two bills cracking down on illegal immigration

June 29, 2017

While most of the focus in the mainstream media has been on the Russia collusion/hacking scandal and Donald Trump’s stupid and distracting Tweet about Mika Brzezinski the House today quietly passed two bills cracking down on illegal immigration.

One of the bills, the “No Sanctuary for Criminals Act,” cracks down on so-called sanctuary cities which refuse to help Federal law enforcement in carrying out Federal immigration laws.

“No Sanctuary for Criminals Act,” would cut federal grants to states and “sanctuary cities” that refuse to cooperate with law enforcement carrying out immigration enforcement activities.

“The word ‘sanctuary’ calls to mind someplace safe, but too often for families and victims affected by illegal immigrant crime, sanctuary cities are anything but safe,” Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly asserted in the pre-vote press conference.

“It is beyond my comprehension why federal state and local officials … would actively discourage or outright prevent law enforcement agencies from upholding the laws of the United States,” he added.

The other bill, commonly known as “Kate’s Law” provides stricter penalties for people who have been deported but try to reenter the United State illegally:

Kate’s Law, which would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States and caught, passed with a vote of 257 to 157, with one Republican voting no and 24 Democrats voting yes.

Kate’s Law is named for Kate Steinle, a San Francisco woman killed by an illegal immigrant who was in the U.S. despite multiple deportations. The two-year anniversary of her death is on Saturday.

President Trump called the bill’s passage “good news” in a tweet, adding “House just passed #KatesLaw. Hopefully Senate will follow.”

Liberals like to portray any action on illegal immigration as mean-spirited because it means breaking up families but I would ask them this: how is this any different than any other criminal with a family being found guilty of a crime and sentenced to jail time? Is that not also breaking up the family while the guilty party is in jail? (I have to admit this was not my original thought, I heard a caller on the radio ask these questions.)

Now it is on to the Senate and I have to wonder how much support these measures will have–after all the establishment in both parties, whether they want to admit it or not, support illegal immigration albeit for different reasons.

Senate Judiciary Committee begins to shift its focus to the Obama ‘unmasking’ scandal

June 29, 2017

I have been saying for quite some time that the Democrats might rue the day they kept pushing the Russia collusion/hacking angle because it might just come back around to them. They are not clean either…

Recently we learned that Barack Obama knew about Russia’s attempted hacking but he decided to do nothing about it because he did not want to do anything that might take down the Democrats in election he felt was already in the bag for Hillary Clinton. That in and of itself deserves an investigation because he apparently put politics ahead of the “integrity of the electoral process” but that will probably have to wait for a different day.

While that aspect of the Russia hacking scandal seems to have gone unnoticed by the mainstream media and the establishment in Washington it appears as if the Senate Judiciary Committee is starting to shift it focus to the Obama administration on an issue where, unlike the Trump collusion aspect of the investigation, there is actual evidence of wrongdoing–I am referring to the “unmasking scandal. Here is more:
