Firewall with Bill Whittle: ‘Hillary’s Final Disgrace’

December 2, 2016

Bill Whittle is out with a new Firewall video entitled “Hillary’s Final Disgrace” and I think you guys are going to love this one. This is of course about the ongoing recount scam. In the video Bill Whittle mentions how Jill Stein has managed to raise twice as much money recounting the votes as she did in trying to get the votes in the first place and he then goes on to explain how this recount is an attempt to discredit Donald Trump’s win in much the same way they tried to discredit George W Bush’s win.

He does make one mistake toward the end which I am surprised was not caught during editing when her refers to  Leon Ponetta when he obviously meant John Podesta but it does not take away from the substance of the video.

Chris Christie is interested in becoming the new head of the Republican National Committee

December 1, 2016

Reince Priebus is stepping down has head of the Republican National Committee to become Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff and it is now being reported that Chris Christie is interested in becoming the new head of the Republican National Committee. Here is more:

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is expressing serious interest in the job of Republican National Committee chairman — and he’s getting an audience to make his case.

Christie told senior members of Donald Trump’s presidential transition team on Thursday morning that he is interested in the post, according to three sources familiar with the talks. One person said the governor had embarked on an aggressive, “full-court press” in hopes of getting the chairmanship.

Christie began seriously considering the job over the last week and has concluded that he would be a solid fit, several of his aides said.

  So what are his qualifications?

Some Christie aides, however, believe that their boss, who formerly chaired the Republican Governors Association and has relationships with many of the party’s donors, would make a natural RNC chair.

Christie also has a gift for political combat, a skill needed for the chairmanship.

Okay, I can see that: he has led the Republican Governors Association and he knows many party donors, which is a plus for the position, and he certainly will not back down from a political fight. Those are all pluses, however I still see this every time I think of Chris Christie:

Democratic Senator regrets changing filibuster rules now that Donald Trump is President-elect

November 29, 2016

Several years ago Harry Reid invoked the so-called “nuclear option” (no, that is not quite right because it was only called the “nuclear option” by Democrats when Republicans threatened to do it. Democrats called it the “Constitutional option” when Harry Reid actually did it) to change the filibuster rule to eliminate the super majority vote needed on many Presidential nominations.

At that time the Democrats defended the move by saying Republicans should be glad because the rule would apply to them if they ever won back the White House. However they apparently really believed inside that Republicans would never win back the White House because now that Donald Trump is the President-elect at least one Democrat (and I am sure there are many more) now regrets changing the filibuster rule.

The White House claims there is no evidence of voter fraud in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, or Michigan

November 27, 2016

jill-stein As has been well-reported Jill Stein has raised enough money to challenge the results of the election in the states of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. She has already requested a recount in Wisconsin and is expected to do the same in the remaining two states within a few days despite the fact she only won about 1% of the votes in those states.

Hillary Clinton, who before the election stated that if Donald Trump did not accept the will of the people it would be a threat to our democracy, has now joined Jill Stein in challenging the will of the people in Wisconsin and one would believe she will also do the same in Pennsylvania and Michigan. Isn’t it funny how her perception has changed?

This has all come about after a report, which I wrote about here, was released which claimed there were concerns over possible hacking of electronic voting machines in these three states even though there was no evidence to back up this claim.

November 27th open thread: ‘Gutter Ballet’

November 27, 2016

open-threadHere is the open thread for Sunday, November 27th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.

Last week  we discussed 5 stories, did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.

In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.

The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!

I have been a little under the weather the last few days so I really did not put much thought into the musical selection this week however last night I heard a song for the first time called Gutter Ballet by Savatage and I thought I would share it, so here it is.

The Hillary Clinton investigation will continue despite Donald Trump

November 25, 2016

Donald Trump drew consternation from many of his supporters when he–through his aides–made it known that despite his campaign promise to the contrary he was not interested in pursuing charges against Hillary Clinton.  Donald Trump might not be willing to appoint a special prosecutor but that does not mean the investigation is going to come to an end.

  Here is more:

Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Darrell Issa predicted that despite saying President-elect Donald Trump didn’t want to appoint a special prosecutor to pursue charges against his general election opponent Hillary Clinton for her alleged improprities involving her charitable foundation and her unauthorized email server while secretary of state, Trump would get out of the way and allow the FBI and his future attorney general make a determination on how to proceed with regards to Clinton.

“I think it’s important that the president do essentially what he does, which is get out of the business of prosecuting,” Issa said. “But at the same time he’s appointed or proposed appointing an attorney general who has a long record of doing his job. And so when we look at Jeff Sessions in concert with FBI and other organizations, they need to do their job, and I think that’s what the where the balance of the next president is going to come is reestablishing the independence of the Department of Justice. If he doesn’t do it, Congress will certainly push for that, but I think you are going to find a president who says let them do their job, stays out of it, and certainly doesn’t — you know, he hasn’t said she’s innocent. That’s a decision that needs to be made by the professionals.”

While many of Donald Trump’s supporters were angry with him after this announcement there were others who were claiming this is precisely what would happen. We will have to wait and see if anything comes out of this but if Donald Trump does believe in the seperation of powers he will allow the FBI and the Department of Imjustice to do their jobs. If the nomination of Jeff Sessions as Attorney General is any indication it appears as if he might just stand down on this.

Happy Thanksgiving

November 24, 2016

I just wanted to take a moment to wish all America’s Watchtower readers a very happy Thanksgiving and also to thank you for all the support over the last year. I hope you all have a wonderful day surrounded by family, food, and friends. I have been a little under the weather the last couple of days, perfect timing isn’t it?

I would also like to take a moment to remember those who cannot be home today because they are serving our nation abroad, it is because of people like them that we are afforded this luxury. Thank you!

Psalm 50:14 “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High”

Hebrews 13:15 :By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

Hillary Clinton is being urged to challenge the election results

November 23, 2016

You may remember how for years the Democrats have been saying there is no such thing as voter fraud and the only reason Republicans want voter ID is because they want to stifle the minority vote. You may also remember how when Donald Trump said he would not accept the results of the election if he thought there was voter fraud that he was a threat to our very democracy and he was dangerous and arrogant not to accept the will of the voters.

All of that, of course, was before the election and a funny thing happened on the way to Hillary Clinton’s coronation. It turns out the Democratic candidate lost the election and now suddenly we have to investigate voter fraud and Hillary Clinton is being urged to challenge the results of the election.

Democratic House Minority Leader challenger accused of sexism

November 21, 2016

After the disastrous (from the Democratic perspective) Presidential election there are many Democrats who feel a change in direction and leadership is in order. One of those Democrats is Tim Ryan; he is challenging Nancy Pelosi for House Minority Leader.

However Tim Ryan is a man and Nancy Pelosi is a woman so he could not possibly think a change in direction or leadership is what is best for the party, he must be challenging the Minority Leader because he is a sexist and believes a man can do a better job. At least that is what ThinkProgess is claiming.

  Here it is:
