“I am quite positive that the order must be given.”
With those words the plan to liberate Europe was put into motion. On June 4th allied ships set out across the English channel to begin the much waited for offensive scheduled to begin on June 5th. Torrential downpours forced the delay of the mission but the ships could not be turned around unless the invasion was rescheduled. Running the risk of being spotted by the Germans, the ships were to sit there and wait for another opportunity.
June 5th, the allied commanders met to discuss the weather and the future of the invasion while troops were floating in the channel with no place to go and nothing to do but wait for the decision whether the order was a go or whether the invasion would be postponed. The seas were rough and the waves were high, crashing down over the landing crafts. Many of the soldiers were sick and all of them were tired; physically tired and mentally tired. They were also tired of waiting; if there was to be an invasion they wanted to get it over with. To the troops waiting was worse than fighting.
The weather reports looked bad and most likely another postponement would be necessary but Dwight D. Eisenhower was waiting for the final weather report of the day before making his decision. A postponement now would mean calling off the plans altogether at this point and beginning again at a much later date. With the final weather report came some good news; it looked like there might be a break in the weather at just the right time and just long enough to begin the invasion.
Ike began to survey the other generals in the room for their opinions. Opinions were split; it appeared to some that it was too risky and that the weather report wasn’t good enough, or certain enough, to carry out the invasion. It still looked too risky.
Ironically it was a general who was known for his deliberate and careful pace on the battlefield, a general who many thought (including Ike himself and General Patton) moved too slow and was too cautious who may have swayed Dwight D Eisenhower; when asked, General Montgomery said “I would say GO!”
The fate of Europe hung in the balance.
Bernie Sanders calls out Hillary Clinton’s conflict of interest over The Clinton Foundation
When those of us on the right call out the conflict of interest between Hillary Clinton during her tenure as Secretary of State and The Clinton Foundation the left leaps to her defense by claiming this is nothing but part of the vast right-wing conspiracy and is nothing more than her opponents trying to find an issue where there is none.
That is to be expected and it is all very well and good but what will the left say now that one of their own–or perhaps more accurately, their darling Bernie Sanders–has waded into the controversy confirming what we have been saying?
Here is what the upstart socialist Senator from Vermont had to say when asked about the potential conflict of interest:
Hillary Clinton was asked a direct question by George Stephanopoulos about the Second Amendment: “Do you believe an individual’s right to bear arms is a constitutional right? That it’s not linked to the service in the militia?”
That is a pretty straightforward question and a simple “yes” or “no” would have sufficed but of course the former Secretary of State avoided the question by more or less the government has the right to regulate the Second Amendment.
Here is what she said:
I think that for most of our history there was a nuanced reading of the Second Amendment, until the decision by the late Justice [Antonin] Scalia. And there was no argument until then that localities, and states, and the federal government had a right–as we do with every amendment–to impose reasonable regulations.

We have all seen the images and the videos and we have all read the stories about the violence which occurred at the hands of the left at Donald Trump’s rally in California. Seeking to put the blame anywhere else than were it lies–with the leftists who are committing the violence–the left, the mainstream media, and Hillary Clinton (but I repeat myself) are blaming Donald Trump for the actions of their followers.
Here is how Hillary Clinton tried to disavow the violence while at the same time seeming to explain why she understands it:
We learned a couple of days ago that the next person in line to be deposed by Judicial Watch in its inquiry into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal was Bryan Pagliano–the man who set up and maintained the former Secretary of State’s personal email server.
Despite having been granted immunity from both the FBI and the Injustice Department Bryan Pagliano’s lawyer informed the judge he would plead the Fifth rather than testify. Today a Federal judge delayed Bryan Pagliano’s deposition and ordered him to release the details of his immunity agreement.

The ties between Laureate college, the Clinton Foundation, Hillary’s campaign, and the State Department
This is a little convoluted but here goes, according to this story:
In April 2015, Bill Clinton was forced to abruptly resign from his lucrative perch as honorary chancellor of Laureate Education, a for-profit college company. The reason for Clinton’s immediate departure: Clinton Cash revealed, and Bloomberg confirmed, that Laureate funneled Bill Clinton $16.46 million over five years while Hillary Clinton’s State Dept. pumped at least $55 million to a group run by Laureate’s founder and chairman, Douglas Becker, a man with strong ties to the Clinton Global Initiative. Laureate has donated between $1 million and $5 million (donations are reported in ranges, not exact amounts) to the Clinton Foundation.
Shortly after Bill Clinton’s lucrative 2010 Laureate appointment, Hillary Clinton’s State Dept. began pumping millions of its USAID dollars to a sister nonprofit, International Youth Foundation (IYF), which is run by Laureate’s founder and chairman, Douglas Becker. Indeed, State Dept. funding skyrocketed once Bill Clinton got on the Laureate payroll, according to Bloomberg:
A Bloomberg examination of IYF’s public filings show that in 2009, the year before Bill Clinton joined Laureate, the nonprofit received 11 grants worth $9 million from the State Department or the affiliated USAID. In 2010, the group received 14 grants worth $15.1 million. In 2011, 13 grants added up to $14.6 million. The following year, those numbers jumped: IYF received 21 grants worth $25.5 million, including a direct grant from the State Department.
Of course this is just a coincidence, nothing to see here and anyway what difference does it make?

Longtime Hillary Clinton aide Cheryl Mills testified in Judicial Watch’s inquiry into Hillary Clinton’s decision to use a personal email server to conduct ALL State Department business on and the testimony was pretty damaging. But it gets even more interesting today because, according to this story, Cheryl Mills testified that the former Secretary of State also used a personal email account while she was the Senator from New York–she just carried the policy over to the State Department.

Bryan Pagliano will plead the Fifth during Judicial Watch testimony over Hillary Clinton’s email scandal
Yesterday longtime Hillary Clinton aide, Cheryl Mills, testified under oath over the former Secretary of State’s email scandal and it was pretty damaging testimony. You can read more about that here. Next up for Judicial Watch appears to be Bryan Pagliano. Mr. Pagliano is the man who set up Hillary Clinton’s personal email server and he was also in charge of maintaining it so his testimony would be quite interesting to hear. But we will not be hearing it…
Just as he did when he testified in front of the House Benghazi Committee Bryan Pagliano is going to plead the Fifth. In addition to this his lawyers are asking that his testimony is not video taped. Here is more:
Earlier today Judicial Watch grilled Hillary Clinton aide Cheryl Mills over the former Secretary of State’s decision to use a personal email server on which to conduct ALL State Department business and we learned a few things. Actually that is not quite accurate because we already knew what she disclosed but now we have sworn testimony to back it up. It is no longer just part of a vast right-wing conspiracy any more…
Cheryl Mills testified that Hillary Clinton’s email account was not subject to FOIA requests, she had no system in place to print and save emails as required by law, and she used her non-secure Blackberry to send and receive emails.
