Hillary Clinton claims she will put a lot of coal workers and coal companies out of business
Well, it looks like Hillary Clinton is taking a page right out of Barack Obama’s 2008 playbook. We all remember when the soon to be President promised to bankrupt the coal industry but in case you have forgotten here is the video:

A second State Department worker refuses to testify in front of the Congress about Hillary Clinton’s email scandal
John Bentel, a retired State Department official who managed security in the department, has refused to testify willingly in front of the Congress about Hillary Clinton’s personal email server. This makes him the second State Department official to refuse to tell the Congress what he knows, here is more:
A State Department staffer who oversaw security and technology issues for Hillary Clinton is refusing to answer Senate investigators’ questions about the former secretary of state’s use of a private email server — marking the second time an ex-State employee has declined to talk to lawmakers.
John Bentel, a now-retired State employee who managed IT security issues for the top echelon at the department, declined to be interviewed by GOP staff on the Senate Judiciary and Homeland Security committees, according to a letter obtained by POLITICO.
Needless to say, Sens. Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson are not happy and it appears as if they are threatening to subpoena John Bentel:
Ted Cruz’s support for giving Barack Obama ‘fast-track’ authority on the TPP is haunting him in Ohio
In the first half of last year the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) was in the news quite a bit, along with Barack Obama seeking fast-track authority to pass the deal with minimal Congressional debate and without amendment (TPA). Here is part of what I wrote back then about the Congress willingly giving up its power to give advise and consent to the President on treaties:
The Republicans have been attacking Barack Obama for quite some time now as being an out of control, lawless, usurping President who cares not for the Constitution and the separation of powers contained within. They have been promising to “reign him in” and stop him from assuming powers not granted to him under the Constitution but today, when they had the chance, they voted to give him even more power.
Barack Obama has been pushing for fast-track authority on the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal he has been negotiating in private and today the President won a key battle when the Senate voted to give him the power he has been longing for–and yes, it was the Republicans who put it over the top.

Marco Rubio wins the Washington DC caucuses
It is now being reported on Politico that Marco Rubio has won the Washington DC caucuses. With his recent victory in Puerto Rico this marks his second victory in an otherwise abysmal candidacy to date. It is not surprising to me that Marco Rubio finished first with 37% of the vote while John Kasich finished in second with 35% of the vote because these are the two establishment candidates left in the race and Washington DC is the epitome of the establishment–it is in fact the very essence of the establishment.
As for the two candidates who have tried to portray themselves as the anti-establishment alternatives, Donald Trump came in third place with 14% of the vote while Ted Cruz came in fourth place with 12% of the vote.
I would guess that this will be Marco Rubio’s high water mark, and for that matter John Kasich’s as well, and after he is embarrassed in his home state he will finally do what is right and drop out of the race, making this a two person contest for the Republican nomination.

Ted Cruz wins the Wyoming caucuses
I know what you are thinking: who knew Wyoming was holding its Republican caucuses today? With all of the focus on the upcoming battle in Florida the Wyoming caucuses did not get any attention in the media but today Ted Cruz won the state with about 68% of the vote. Coming in a distant second was Marco Rubio with roughly 21% followed by Donald Trump with about 8% of the vote.
Wyoming seems to have a bit of a different nominating procedure; there were twelve delegates up for grabs today however the state will award another fourteen delegates at the state convention, meaning that even though Ted Cruz won the caucuses another candidate could walk away with more delegates than him after the state convention is over. Here is an explanation but it really does not clear it up all that much:
Wyoming picks 29 delegates in the Republican presidential primary, but only 12 are being decided Saturday. Another 14 will be decided at the party’s state convention next month. The final 3 are members of the Republican National Committee.
Saturday’s conventions are part of Wyoming’s complicated three-part process.
A state Republican party official explains: Republicans in Wyoming’s 23 counties get together to vote at county conventions on Saturday, but they’re not voting directly for the candidates. Instead, the counties are picking individuals who say ahead of time which candidate they’d vote for in Cleveland. But it’s more complicated than that: not all 23 of the delegates elected will actually get to vote in Cleveland. 22 of the 23 counties are put into pairs, with one county getting to pick an actual delegate and the other picking an alternate. Four years later, however, they switch roles. The 23rd county, Laramie County, gets to send a delegate based on its county results every election.
Still a win is a win I guess…

Andrew Klavan: ‘I’m Angry! So I’m Voting for Donald Trump’
It has been awhile since we have heard anything from Andrew Klavan but he is out with a new video for The Daily Wire entitled “I’m Angry! So I am Voting for Donald Trump.” It is pretty clear he is not a supporter of the billionaire businessman and he makes obvious as only he can.

New ad exposes Donald Trump’s hypocrisy on outsourcing jobs
It has actually been a few weeks since I last had an anti-Trump post but that is about to end with this post. The billionaire businessman has been outspoken against companies which outsource jobs to other countries. So much so that he said he would bring companies which left the United States back into the country so the people could tell these companies to go bleep themselves.

As you can see in that video Donald Trump claims we should “cherish and love” the businesses which try to stay in this country despite the heavy tax burden while telling the others to go bleep themselves because “they let you down and left.”
However Donald Trump’s rhetoric does not match his actions and this video points it out brilliantly:
I guess this means, according to Donald Trump’s own words, it is time we told him to go bleep himself…

The Department of Justice has looked into the possibility of pursuing legal action against ‘climate deniers’
For all of their rhetoric on global warming the Democrats have not been able to push its radical climate agenda through the Congress so now they are apparently looking at Plan B. This Plan B apparently includes using the Department of Injustice to pursue legal action against “climate deniers.”
Attorney General Loretta Lynch has admitted her Injustice Department has looked into the possibility, here is more:
Attorney General Loretta Lynch acknowledged Wednesday that there have been discussions within the Department of Justice about possibly pursuing civil action against so-called climate change deniers.
“This matter has been discussed. We have received information about it and have referred it to the FBI to consider whether or not it meets the criteria for which we could take action on,” Lynch said at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Justice Department operations.
We are quickly reaching the point where the left is trying to criminalize opposing positions, using threats, harassment, and intimidation to stifle opposing views and I find this to be very troubling to say the least. Of course backers of this radical agenda are equally radical when it comes to imposing their views on others so they see no problem in criminalizing thought in order to get what they want.
One would have to wonder how these same people would respond if a Republican-led Department of Injustice used this same tactic to push issues near and dear to its heart. But I think we know the answer…

Bernie Sanders upsets Hillary Clinton in Michigan
The result of the Republican primary in Michigan last night was never really in doubt, but the same cannot be said about the Democratic primary in the state where the former Secretary of State was supposed to skate to an easy victory as she did in Mississippi. It was clear early on that there was going to be a long evening of vote counting before the official results came in and when they did Bernie Sanders scored an upset victory, having bounced back from polls showing him with a double-digit lead. In the end Bernie Sanders won by a margin of 50-48%.
After having won Mississippi Hillary Clinton had hoped to drive a huge nail in the coffin of the Sanders campaign but instead this victory means that he is going nowhere any time soon. Next up are Ohio and Illinois, it will be interesting to see if the Senator from Vermont will gain momentum from this victory heading into the next contests. If so the road to the White House might take a little bit longer than Hillary Clinton anticipated.
