Donald Trump says he will use libel laws to sue newspapers as President
It has been several days since I last posted anything negative about Donald Trump but that is about to change with this post. Earlier today Donald Trump said that if he is elected President he is going to use libel laws to sue the media “like you never got sued before” if they write stories he deems to be “horrible and negative.”

“And one of the things I’m going to do, and this is only going to make it tougher for me — and I’ve never said this before, but one of the things I’m going to do if I win, and I hope I do, and we’re certainly getting there, I’m going to open up the libel laws so when they write horrible and negative and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money,” he continued. “We’re going to open up those libel laws, so that when The New York Times writes a hit piece which is a total disgrace, or when The Washington Post, which is there for other reasons, writes a hit piece, we can sue them and win money instead of having no chance of winning because they’re totally protected. You see? With me they’re not protected, because I’m not like other people, but I’m not taking money. I’m not taking their money. So we can put up those libel laws and we’ll have people sue you like you never got sued before.”
Black Lives Matter activists interrupt Hillary Clinton event over past her racist comments
Last night Hillary Clinton held a fundraising event which was disrupted by two Black Lives Matter protesters who wanted the former Secretary of State to explain some racist comments she made while she was the First Lady.

Two Black Lives Matter activists interrupted a private Hillary Clinton fundraising event Wednesday night in Charleston, South Carolina.
Youth activist Ashley Williams protested Clinton, demanding that the Democratic presidential candidate account for inconsistencies on her record on race, specifically around her comments made about crime in 1996.
As Clinton spoke to the crowd, Williams stood to her side and held a sign quoting controversial statements made in 1996 when she said “we have to bring them to heel” in reference to at-risk youth.
Williams said when Clinton paused and looked at her sign, she then asked the former secretary of state to apologize to black people for mass incarceration. The mostly white audience yelled at Williams and told her she was being rude.
“I wanted to bring her to confront her own words,” Williams told The Huffington Post after the protest, adding, “We did this because we wanted to make sure that black people are paying attention to her record, and we want to know what Hillary we are getting.”
Federal Judge rules Hillary Clinton aides should testify under oath
A Federal judge, Emmet Sullivan, has ruled that Hillary Clinton’s aides should testify under oath in the ever-growing and expanding email scandal which has engulfed the Democratic Presidential candidate. According to the judge there is “a reasonable suspicion” that open records laws were violated and he questions if the former Secretary of State’s use of a private email server was a purposeful effort to avoid the laws and not simply a mistake.

Donald Trump wins the Nevada caucuses
Last night Donald Trump soundly defeated Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz in the Nevada primary and it was not even close, while Marco Rubio managed to take second place over Ted Cruz by a couple of points.
This is clearly Donald Trump’s race to lose at this point and it is going to be hard for anyone to catch him, and impossible to do so as long as both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio both remain in the race to split the vote. This race could all but be over after super Tuesday.
Donald Trump has the momentum and I believe the other candidates have underestimated exactly how angry many of the voters are and although he has gone after the establishment on many occasions Ted Cruz has been lumped in with the establishment.
Ted Cruz has run a terrible campaign in my opinion and he has been labeled a cheater, dishonest, and a dirty player who will do whatever it takes to get and stay in power by Donald Trump and Marco Rubio and those accusations have stuck. I see no way for him to recover from the alleged antics of his campaign staff because this is what the voters are sick and tired of.

Then vs Now: Joe Biden on replacing a Supreme Court Justice during an election year
Joe Biden has gone on record as saying that the Republican calls for Barack Obama to not name a replacement for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia “do not make sense” at this “critical moment in American history.”

Biden said in an interview with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer that calls from some Republicans for Obama to pass on nominating a new Supreme Court justice don’t make sense.
Some Republicans argue that a new justice shouldn’t replace Antonin Scalia, who died last weekend, until after a new president takes office in January.
“To leave the seat vacant at this critical moment in American history is a little bit like saying, ‘God forbid something happen to the president and the vice president, we’re not going to fill the presidency for another year and a half,'” Biden said.
But he did not always feel this way, back in 1992 when a Republican incumbent was running for reelection, he was singing a different tune. Here is the video:
Not only did he say George Bush the elder should not nominate a candidate but he went so far as to say that if he did the Senate should consider blocking the nominee until after the election. This is of course what the leadership in the Republican party today are proposing yet back then it would be protecting the institution but today is being labeled obstructionist. Isn’t it funny how things change…

Donald Trump is not sure Marco Rubio is eligible to run for President
Donald Trump is now running a scorched earth campaign against his Republican rivals. After playing the birther card against Ted Cruz to some apparent success he is now claiming he is not sure if Marco Rubio is eligible to run for President. This all revolves around a retweet from the billionaire businessman which questioned Marco Rubio.

When pressed on why he would retweet something he was not sure about he said it was because he was not sure about it, and then went on to claim he was not familiar with Marco Rubio’s situation. However not all that long ago Donald Trump said there was no question Marco Rubio was eligible to run for President because he was “born on the land” and here is that video:
Once again the Etch-A-Sketch candidate of 2016 has shaken the drawing board and come up with a new picture.

Jeb Bush drops out of the Republican primary
Jeb Bush has dropped out of the Republican primary. This is old news at this point in time but I would be remiss if I did not at least touch on the subject. I have to admit that while this was the right thing for the former Governor of Florida to do after his poor showings in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina I did not expect it–I thought he would hang on until Florida but perhaps he feared being embarrassed by Marco Rubio in his home state.
Mr. Bush’s withdrawal from the race most likely will have little impact moving forward because he did not have much support in the first place however it could be a boost to Marco Rubio, who is now the Republican establishment’s first choice. We can expect the establishment to throw its money behind the Florida Senator in an attempt to finish off Ted Cruz and then move on Donald Trump.
As long as both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are in the race the anti-Trump vote will be split and the billionaire businessman will likely take the nomination.

Donald Trump wins the South Carolina primary
The polls just recently closed but at about 7:30 Politico called the race for Donald Trump and at 7:37 CNN also declared the billionaire businessman the winner in the first in the South primary. At the time of this posting Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are in a tight battle for second place.
Following up on his big victory in New Hampshire it now appears as if this is Donald Trump’s race to lose and with the anti-Trump vote being split between Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio it would appear as if Donald Trump will skate into the nomination with ease.
This is a three person race, and has been for some time, and all others should now call it a day. However I doubt Jeb Bush, despite his poor showing, will do so even though Marco Rubio has emerged as the Republican establishment’s preferred candidate.
The only chance at stopping Donald Trump at this point in time, in my opinion, would be for either Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio to drop out of the race and that is not going to happen. Donald Trump has secured what has been called big victories in New Hampshire and South Carolina but when you look at it he has only won the support of about 35% of the voters in both states so I suppose the term big is relative when you consider the fact that approximately 65% of the people voted for another candidate. But to quote a famous football coach from this area, it is what it is…
Until and unless this becomes a two person race Donald Trump is not going to be defeated and the Republican party has no one to blame but themselves, I just wish Donald Trump was who he is claiming to be and not the Donald Trump of the past because it pains me to think we will have to choose between two liberals with New York values in the general election, my choice will go elsewhere…

Hillary Clinton wins the Nevada caucuses, but…
Well, the projections are already in and it looks as if Hillary Clinton has won the Nevada caucuses, here is more:
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton appears to have won Nevada’s caucuses.
The Associated Press called the Nevada race for Clinton around 2:15 p.m., and Reuters reported that Fox News did the same, according to Reuters.
Clinton was beating Bernie Sanders 52 percent to 48 percent with 66 percent of the state’s precincts reporting as of about 2:15 p.m., AP reported.
Turnout was heavy at the party’s caucuses in Southern Nevada. Reports from the presidential voting locations showed long lines and big crowds late morning and early afternoon.
However there is this little tidbit:
