Video: Hillary Clinton states she has ‘always tried to’ tell the American people the truth
This is an interesting video that I thought I would share with everybody tonight. Hillary Clinton was asked if she has always told the truth to the American people and her answer was not a straight forward as you would expect if she has always been straightforward with the American people–it is however the answer I would have expected from her.
She said she has “tried in every way I know how” to tell the American people the truth. When pressed on this answer she went on to say she has “always tried to” tell the American people the truth.

She did not say that she has always told the truth but rather that she has always tried to tell the American people the truth and that is not a small distinction. When pressed she could not in good conscience state unequivocally that she has always told the truth and I think that tells us all we need to know about the former Secretary of State…

Donald Trump on Obamacare: ‘I like the mandate’
Having just watched the video which I am posting below I think it is time to dive into Donald Trump’s convoluted logic in regards to Obamacare.
In the past Donald Trump has seemingly said that he supported a single-payer (read government) healthcare system but we will let that go for the sake of this post, I just wanted to point out that he did not always say what he is saying now.
Donald Trump, on more than one occasion, has blamed Ted Cruz for giving us Obamacare despite the fact the law passed without a single Republican vote. He justifies this claim by stating that Ted Cruz was a big supporter of Chief Justice John Roberts during his confirmation hearing while ignoring the fact that the Senator from Texas was not even in the Senate at the time of John Roberts’ confirmation.
Okay, Ted Cruz was not in the Senate and had no role in confirming John Roberts, I guess we have to let that one go as well. But let us pretend that Ted Cruz did play a major role in confirming John Roberts. Donald Trump validates this claim by reminding us that twice John Roberts had the opportunity to strike down Obamacare yet confirmed it with his decisions.
Hillary Clinton increases delegate lead over Bernie Sanders heading into Nevada and South Carolina
When all was said and done in the New Hampshire primary Bernie Sanders soundly defeated Hillary Clinton in embarrassing fashion yet in delicious irony the former Secretary of State was awarded the same number of delegates as the Senator from Vermont.
Apparently this irony was lost on Bernie Sanders supporters who feel the Senator should have been allowed to keep the delegates he rightfully earned and they began to “revolt” against the superdelegate concept, asking the Democratic elites to listen to the voice of the people before pledging to support a candidate.
But apparently their pleas are falling on deaf years because Hillary Clinton has already locked up half of the superdelegates in Nevada and South Carolina before a single vote has been cast in either state and now it is being reported that the former Secretary of State has won the pledges of 87 more superdelegates, giving her a lead of 481-55 in total delegates.

After Justice Antonin Scalia died unexpectedly over the weekend, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell quickly stated that the Senate would not consider any nominee in a presidential election year—a stance that even a few of his Republican colleagues believe is a politically dangerous position to take. Speaking at a press conference in California, Obama offered a peek at the kind of political arguments that could rain down on Republican presidential candidates and senators up for reelection if they refuse to vote on his nominee.
“The Constitution is pretty clear about what is supposed to happen now,” Obama said. “When there is a vacancy on the Supreme Court, the president of the United States is to nominate someone. The Senate is to consider that nomination. And either they disapprove of that nominee or that nominee is elevated to the Supreme Court. Historically, this has not been viewed as a question. There’s no unwritten law that says it can only be done on off-years.”
Of course Chuck Schumer did the same thing when he called for blocking any potential George Bush nominee to the Supreme Court in 2007 even though there were no vacancies at the time, but let that go…
Republicans were quick to point out Barack Obama’s hypocrisy after he was one of several Democrats who tried to filibuster George Bush’s Supreme Court nominee Sam Alito back in 2006 when he was in the Senate. Now the White House is claiming that Barack Obama has seen the error of his ways and has had a change of heart, he “regrets” that decision now:
New national poll shows Ted Cruz leading Donald Trump by two points
Regular readers of America’s Watchtower know how I feel about national polls but in case you are a new reader I will state my opinion again before I proceed with this post: national polls can be used to gauge the feelings and trends of the American people however they cannot be used to predict the outcome of primary elections. We need to look at the polls in the individual states to predict how the primary election will go because there is not a national election…yet.
Having said that a new national poll is out which for the first time shows Donald Trump trailing Ted Cruz, here is more:
Hillary Clinton’s emails disclosed the name of a CIA Afghan spy
Back on February 1st it was reported that some of Hillary Clinton’s emails contained “operational intelligence” which could have jeopardized lives if that information fell into the wrong hands. If this story is true we might now be learning what type of information this was and it does not look good for the former Secretary of State:
One of the classified email chains discovered on Hillary Clinton’s personal unsecured server discussed an Afghan national’s ties to the CIA and a report that he was on the agency’s payroll, a U.S. government official with knowledge of the document told Fox News.
The discussion of a foreign national working with the U.S. government raises security implications – an executive order signed by President Obama said unauthorized disclosures are “presumed to cause damage to the national security.”
Who will Barack Obama endorse in the Democratic primary?
Up until this point the President has declined to endorse a candidate in the Democratic primary but today Barack Obama left open the possibility that he will endorse a candidate at some point, here is more:
With only Iowa and New Hampshire having voted in 2016, Obama said he’d like to see the primary process play out more but signaled that he may throw his support behind a candidate. “Ultimately I will probably have an opinion on it based on [having] been both a candidate of hope and change and a president who’s got some nicks and cuts and bruises from getting stuff done over the last seven years,” he said. “But for now I think it’s important for Democratic voters to express themselves and for the candidates to be run through the paces.”
So which candidate will he endorse when the time comes? He claims that he is undecided at this point because he does not know where the two candidates stand on all the issues:
The State Department requested Hillary Clinton release her emails far earlier than she has claimed
Hillary Clinton has been claiming on the campaign trail that she has been fully cooperating with the State Department from the very beginning in regards to releasing her official emails which were conducted on her private email server, however newly released emails show that she did not comply with the original State Department request to turn over her emails. In fact she waited several months.

The State Department in July 2014 unofficially requested that Hillary Clinton hand in copies of her work emails — much earlier than the late October 2014 date that has been cited by her presidential campaign and in court documents.
Conservative group Judicial Watch on Monday released a new email from Clinton’s former chief of staff Cheryl Mills, where Mills is following up on what appears to be a request from Secretary John Kerry’s chief of staff David Wade for hard copies of Clinton’s messages.
“I wanted to follow up on your request last month about getting hard copies of Secretary Clinton’s emails to/from accounts ending in ‘.gov’ for her tenure at the Department,” Mills wrote to David Wade on Aug. 22, 2014 under subject line “following up.”
“I will be able to get that to you, to the best of its availability. Given the volume, it will take some time to do but I wanted to let you know that I am working to get it to you,” Mills continued.
The new batch of 189 documents, obtained through Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, show that State gave Clinton an informal request several months before the Department’s official request for documents. Both State and the campaign have acknowledged that conversations on the issue had been going on before the official request was sent, but it has been unclear how early.
Hillary Clinton has already locked up half of the superdelegates in Nevada and South Carolina
Rightfully sensing a Democratic establishment conspiracy to rob Bernie Sanders of the possibility of winning the Democratic nomination some of his supporters are in an uproar after the former Secretary of State managed to win half of New Hampshire’s delegates despite her resounding defeat in the Granite State.
They are trying to convince the establishment to allow the votes to be counted in the states before the superdelegates are awarded, it seems like a reasonable request to me but apparently the Democratic party is not listening. If Bernie Sanders’ supporters are already upset at the shenanigans to this point they are going to be livid when they find out that Hillary Clinton has already locked up half of the superdelegates in the next two primary states–Nevada and South Carolina.

Bernie Sanders supporters ‘revolt’ against the superdelegates
After the results in Iowa which had Hillary Clinton winning the caucuses after miraculously winning six coin tosses in a row and the accusations that some delegates were wrongly allotted, and after the blowout loss in the New Hampshire primary which saw the former Secretary of State awarded the same amount of delegates as the Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders supporters are none to happy. And they should not be because when this is coupled with the news that the Democratic National Committee quietly changed the fundraising rules in an apparent attempt to help Hillary Clinton and it certainly looks as if the Democratic establishment is doing all that it can to make sure Bernie Sanders is not the nominee.
But it is the issue of these superdelegates which have Bernie Sanders’ supporters the most upset because these are party insiders who have already pledged to support a candidate at the national convention and they do not have to follow the will of the people or the results of the vote in the state they are representing. Currently Hillary Clinton has the pledges of about 360 of these superdelegates while Bernie Sanders has 8.
It now appears as if Bernie Sanders’ supporters have had enough and, as this article puts it, are beginning to “revolt” against the system, here is more:
