Hillary Clinton laughs at the idea of a man strangling Carly Fiorina
You have probably heard about this by now but at a campaign event in Derry, New Hampshire earlier today Hillary Clinton laughed out loud when an attendee stated that every time he sees Carly Fiorina on television he wants to reach into the television and strangle her.
The man is obviously a misogynist who probably had a problem working for a woman in the first place as well as being another intolerant liberal hypocrite but it is the former Secretary of State’s response which should draw the ire of women on both sides of the political spectrum. She laughed out loud at the prospect and then joked with the attendee.
The outrage has been predictable from the right, and for good measure, yet nobody on the left is saying a word and that naturally includes the mainstream media. I only bring this topic up because I remember the reaction in the media to a similar event back in September.
Donald Trump was taking questions from the audience and one person mentioned that Barack Obama was a Muslim and was not an American. Donald Trump did not come right out and defend Barack Obama before answering the question and for that the mainstream media spent days hammering him for this, saying he should have defended the President and demanding he apologize for not doing so. It was played over and over in the news as the media looked to take him down.
So where is the mainstream media now when a man told Hillary Clinton about his violent reaction to Carly Fiorina? Why are they deriding the fact she did not come to Carly Fiorina’s defense? Why are they not demanding she apologize to Carly Fiorina for the words of a supporter?
Of course we all know the answer to those questions…

FBI expands Hillary Clinton email probe–now appears to be a full-blown investigation
Hillary Clinton’s supporters and defenders might be sick and tired of hearing about her damn emails but what they conveniently forget is that this is beyond a partisan witch-hunt because the FBI is investigating it as well and they are not sick and tired of hearing about it.
This is not going away anytime soon and her supporters and defenders had better get used to it because the FBI is now expanding the probe into what one former FBI official described as a full-blown investigation.

Appeals Court rules against Barack Obama’s Executive amnesty
Victories are hard to come by these days so we will take one when we can get one at this point and last night we finally got one when the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Barack Obama’s Executive amnesty.
Here is more:
President Barack Obama’s plan to protect from deportation an estimated 5 million people living in the United States illegally suffered another setback Monday in a ruling from a New Orleans-based federal appeals court.
In a 2-1 decision, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a Texas-based federal judge’s injunction blocking the administration’s immigration initiative.
Sunday, November 8th open thread: ‘Feeling Good’
Here is the open thread for Sunday, November 8th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Well, we managed to cover 5 stories since I came home form surgery but did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.
In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!
I am getting better and stronger every day and yesterday was the first time that for most of the day I felt like my old self–of course I am still not doing anything strenuous but I feel as though I am making great progress. I only took Tylenol for pain once yesterday, so with the pain all but gone it would be nice to get a sound night of sleep.
I have a follow up appointment and suture removal tomorrow so I will know more about how I am recovering and what the timetable for my return to work should be.
I am feeling good so here is Muse’s version of the song:
Since Hillary Clinton’s email scandal first surfaced the former Secretary of State defended her use of a homebrew email server by claiming she never sent nor received classified information on the server which was locked in somebody’s bathroom.
This excuse never held water for two reasons: First; because she conducted ALL State Department business on this homebrew server this would mean she never once received classified emails PERIOD and that is simply not believable, and second; emails which contain certain information are considered to be born classified even if they are not marked as such. A competent Secretary of State would know immediately if something should be classified one would think…
And speaking of a competent Secretary of State knowing which emails should be marked classified.
Afterburner with Bill Whittle: ‘The Game Changer’
In Bill Whittle’s latest Afterburner video entitled “The Game Changer” he talks about Ted Cruz’s moment in the sun during the debate the other night when he blasted the mainstream media’s liberal bias. He talks about how this can be a game changer if the Republicans can take advantage of it, unlike when Mitt Romney caved to Candy Crowley during that ill-fated debate.

EPA accused of rigging review to block Alaska mine
According to this story the EPA is now being accused of rigging its review process and working with an anti-mining group in order to block the Pebble Mine Project in Alaska.
Here is more:
The Environmental Protection Agency is coming under increased scrutiny over accusations that it rigged its own review process to block the Pebble Mine project in Alaska.
The House Science, Space and Technology Committee is scheduled to weigh in Thursday with a hearing on whether EPA officials orchestrated an environmental assessment in concert with anti-mine groups to reach a predetermined outcome.
Exhibit A is an explosive Oct. 6 report by the Cohen Group, headed by former Defense Secretary William Cohen, which cited the EPA’s “unprecedented” evaluation process, including its decision to use procedures under the Clean Water Act instead of the National Environmental Policy Act to assess the project.
The 346-page report, commissioned by the Pebble Limited Partnership, the project’s developer, also said that the statements and actions of EPA officials raised “serious concerns” about the agency’s objectivity and transparency.
“This project is too important, for all stakeholders, to pilot a new, untested decision-making process,” said Mr. Cohen in the report. “The fairest approach is to use the well-established Permit/NEPA Process, and I can find no valid reason why that process was not used.”

Emails contradict Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi testimony
Not that it makes much of a difference at this point but a review of Hillary Clinton’s sworn Benghazi testimony shows that emails she received from Sidney Blumenthal contradict her assertion that he was not an adviser “at all” on Libya.

New poll shows Ben Carson with six point lead over Donald Trump
Of course I have not been in tune with what is going on in the world the last week or so but at the beginning of October it looked like the Republican Presidential primary race was beginning to turn a corner when for the first time Ben Carson had taken a lead on Donald Trump in a national poll.
Now one month later a second national poll has been released which shows Ben Carson maintaining that lead over Donald Trump.
Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has overtaken businessman Donald Trump as the top pick of Republican primary voters to be the party’s presidential nominee, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll finds.
The result marks the first time since June that the Journal/NBC News poll has found a Republican other than Mr. Trump to be leading the GOP field. Some 29% of GOP primary voters rank Mr. Carson as their top choice, while 23% favor Mr. Trump.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz rank third and fourth as the top pick of 11% and 10% of Republican primary voters, respectively.
Some 8% prefer former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. No other Republican garners more than 3% support.
It will be interesting to see if this trend continues or if Ben Carson is just the next flash in the pan but I always take national polls with a grain of salt because of course we do not–as of yet–have a national election.
The insidious little cellphone spying devices known as Stingrays first came to light when a Florida police department was accused of abusing them back in June of 2014. I would say Stingrays are abused simply by using them because what these devices do is create a fake cellphone tower. When a person enters the Stingray zone his or her phone will be automatically connected to the device and information can be gleaned from the person’s cellphone, naturally this means all phones in the area and not just the phone of a suspect in a crime.
