As we all know, the FBI is possession of the server that Hillary Clinton used to conduct all of her State Department business on. The former Secretary of State would have us believe she voluntarily turned the server over to the FBI in an effort to cooperate with the ongoing investigation, and technically it might be true that she turned the server over however make no mistake about it, it was not because she wanted to cooperate with the investigation but rather because the FBI was going to seize the server if she did not hand it over so she really had no choice but to do so. She did this for appearances but she is fooling nobody.
Of course she delayed turning the server over as long as she could and just long enough to make sure the server was blank before she did so. That does not sound like cooperation to me…
The State Department ‘finds’ almost 18,000 Clinton adviser emails it claimed did not exist
Back in 2012 Gawker filed a FOIA request seeking emails from one of Hillary Clinton’s advisers, Philippe Reines, and in 2013 the State Department informed Gawker that the emails the website was seeking did not exist.
Here is more:
The website Gawker filed a FOIA request in 2012 seeking any emails between Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Philippe Reines (a top Hillary Clinton adviser) and a list of 33 major media outlets. Interest in Reines’ correspondence with the media was prompted by an angry email exchange between Reines and journalist Michael Hastings. In the exchange, Reines lost his temper and told Hastings to “f-ck off.”
In July of 2013, the State Department responded to Gawker’s request with a letter which stated, “After a thorough search…no records responsive to your request were located.” Earlier this year Gawker filed a lawsuit asking a judge to force State to produce documents which were responsive to its initial FOIA request.
Over 300 of Hillary Clinton’s emails are now being screened to redact classified information
We all remember when Hillary Clinton said that she neither sent nor received any classified State Department information on her personal email server and I remember thinking about how ludicrous it was to think that she used this personal server to conduct ALL State Department business and never dealt with any classified information. In order for this statement to be true it would mean that she never sent or received any classified information period and we know that cannot possibly be the truth.
As the review of her email continues we are now learning the the State Department has sent over 300 of her emails to intelligence agencies so they can weed out and presumably redact all the secret information contained within.

The number of classified emails on Hillary Clinton’s personal server grows to 60 and is sure to go higher
I am going to be perfectly blunt here: if anyone thinks that Hillary Clinton conducted all of her State Department business on her personal email server and did not once send or receive classified emails they are either simpletons or apologists who are unwilling to admit for partisan reasons that the former Secretary of State is guilty of wrongdoing. It is asinine to believe believe otherwise and it requires, to quote Hillary Clinton when she was talking about David Petraeus, the willing suspension of disbelief.
We already know for a fact that two Inspectors General have found that two emails on Hillary Clinton’s server, despite her claim to the contrary, were classified at the time they were generated, and now the number of classified emails has swelled to 60, here is more:
Open thread for Sunday, August 16th: ‘Tangerine’
Here is the open thread for Sunday, August 16th. Please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
Last week we covered 9 stories, (under normal circumstances it would have been 7 stories but because the open thread came on a Saturday last week two posts which normally would have been credited to two weeks ago were counted last week) did you miss any of them? If so there is an easy way to make sure it does not happen again. I understand that all of you are busy and cannot always find the time to check the blog for updates so why not subscribe to America’s Watchtower and receive email updates whenever I write a new post? That is the easiest way to follow the blog to ensure you never miss another post.
In addition to subscribing you can also follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. But you will get more than that for I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is happening.
The Twitter widget in the sidebar is fully interactive. This widget updates my tweets in real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. It also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!
On our last night in Virginia we went to dinner at a place where there happened to be a man singing and playing acoustic guitar. He was playing mostly blues songs which I did not know but sprinkled in some classic rock as well. At one point he started playing a song which sounded instantly familiar but I could not put my finger on it right away. Eventually I realized it was a Zeppelin tune but I had to google the lyrics to come up with the title. It was ‘Tangerine.’
Back in the days of my youth I was a huge Zeppelin fan but other than radio play I had not really listened to them in many years (thinking about it now I should have found a spot for this band in my top ten considering how much I loved them back then) and it has probably been 30 years since I heard this tune.
Here is ‘Tangerine’ performed live in 1975, enjoy:
Inspector General report finds the State Department routinely hid emails during Hillary Clinton’s tenure
I know the headline to this post sounds anticlimactic because it is pretty certain Hillary Clinton was using a personal email server for official State Department business in order to avoid the Oversight Committee and FOIA requests but this is another issue altogether–or perhaps more accurately, an extension of the already existing email scandal.
According to this story a recently released report by the State Department Office of Inspector General found that the State Department was hiding additional emails by classifying them in a manner in which they could not be found when searched for.

Is Al Gore going to run for President in 2016?
In my opinion the high profile potential Democratic candidates for President in 2016 were content with the prospect of Hillary Clinton being their nominee, and as such they were unwilling to join the race out of the fear of running a race they could not win with the only thing to come from it being the possibility of hurting her prospects in the general election by attacking her in the primary.
But times have changed and it appears as if many Democrats have reluctantly come to the conclusion that Hillary Clinton’s email scandal is not just the product of a vast right wing conspiracy or a witch-hunt and now understand that the potential wrongdoing is real and could actually bring her down.
The company Hillary Clinton used to store her email server is being sued for illegally accessing government databases
The news just keeps on getting worse for Hillary Clinton in regards to her email scandal. The company which Hillary Clinton used to store (and wipe clean) her email server, Platte River Networks, is being sued for illegally accessing government databases and stealing White House phone numbers.

Hillary Clinton turned over a blank email server to the FBI
The big news coming out of the Hillary Clinton camp over the last couple of days is the fact that she has turned over her email server to the FBI. It is interesting to note the way she and the mainstream media are spinning this to make it appear as if she is voluntarily complying with an FBI request when we all know the truth is the FBI seized the server and Hillary Clinton had no choice in the matter–the FBI was going to get this server one way or the other but we will play along for the purpose of this post.
However it is now being reported that the server Hillary Clinton turned over to the FBI, which once held all her State Department correspondence, has been wiped clean–there is nothing on it. Here is more:
