It is not often that a politician tells the truth, or at least the whole truth, and there is an old adage that goes something like this: a gaffe is when a politician tells the truth. Today we had one such gaffe when Barack Obama admitted he had no policy in regards to ISIS.
Here is what he had to say:
President Obama acknowledged Thursday he doesn’t have a plan for defeating Islamist militants in Syria and backed away from imminent military action, while he also downplayed reports of a new Russian invasion in Ukraine.
“We don’t have a strategy yet,” Mr. Obama said of his plans for defeating the Islamic State in Syria. “We need to make sure that we’ve got clear plans. As our strategy develops, we will consult with Congress.”
CNN was quick to respond to this by saying it was “surprising” and asked what message was he sending to ISIS because they are listening. Here is how it went down:
The Department of Justice is giving money from the Bank of America settlement to liberal groups
Eric Holder’s Department of Injustice filed a lawsuit against Bank of America which resulted in an out of court settlement of roughly $17 billions. It is now being reported here that the Injustice Department is funneling some of that money to liberal activist groups.

Judicial Watch reports that the Department of Justice is giving liberal activist groups money from a $16.6 billion settlement with Bank of America.
The groups benefitting from the lawsuit, according to Investor’s Business Daily, are the National Council of La Raza, Operation Hope, National Community Reinvestment Coalition, and Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America. The money also went to “delinquent borrowers” in Chicago, Oakland, Detroit, Philadelphia, and other major “Democrat strongholds.”
“This is a wealth redistribution scheme disguised as a lawsuit,” Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, told The Daily Caller. “And who benefits from the distribution? Interest groups the administration relies on, outside interest groups, allies and politicians in communities trying to benefit as well.”
Fitton noted that these liberal groups are basically what’s left of the Association of Community Organization for Reform Now (ACORN) network, and that President Barack Obama has ties to ACORN.
The White House defends possible move around the Senate on United Nations climate change deal
It is being reported today that the Obama regime is considering the possibility of bypassing the Congress on a possible United Nations climate change deal. At this point we do not know what will be in the deal but the White House is now defending this idea.
As you all know a treaty must be ratified by a 2/3 majority of the Senate before the United States can enter into the agreement according to Article II Section 2 of the Constitution, so how does the Obama regime defend this maneuver?
As everybody who has been following the IRS targeting scandal already knows, Lois Lerner’s hard drive, as well as six others who were involved in the scandal, conveniently crashed and all emails related to the scandal were supposedly lost when the hard drives crashed even though we now know they were backed up on government servers.
But did you know that the IRS also destroyed Lois Lerner’s Blackberry? Neither did I, but according to this story that is exactly what happened.

Warren Buffett is helping to finance Burger King’s move to Canada to lower its taxes
You may have heard by now that Burger King is in the process of purchasing Tim Hortons Inc. and this move would allow Burger King to move its headquarters to Canada where it will pay a lower tax rate.
But did you know this move was going to be funded in part by those evil, nasty, un-American, conservative Koch Bro…oh, wait that is not right, it is actually being funded by Mitt Romney’s evil former employer Bain Cap…oh, wait that is not right either.
This move is being partially funded by liberal icon, and tax hike advocate Warren Buffet. Here is more:
The Federal government to track “hate speech” on Twitter
According to this story the Federal government is creating a database which will track hate speech and misinformation on Twitter.

The federal government is spending nearly $1 million to create an online database that will track “misinformation” and hate speech on Twitter.
The National Science Foundation is financing the creation of a web service that will monitor “suspicious memes” and what it considers “false and misleading ideas,” with a major focus on political activity online.
“This service could mitigate the diffusion of false and misleading ideas, detect hate speech and subversive propaganda, and assist in the preservation of open debate,” the grant said.
The “Truthy” database, created by researchers at Indiana University, is designed to “detect political smears, astroturfing, misinformation, and other social pollution.”
The twisted tale of the IRS targeting scandal and Lois Lerner’s allegedly lost emails regarding the scandal has taken yet another twist.
The Department of Injustice’s lawyers, responding to a Judicial Watch request, are now admitting that backups to all of Lois Lerner’s lost emails do in fact exist.

Democratic Representative on Ferguson: There is going to be a problem in the streets if justice is not served
Earlier today Democratic Representative Lacy Clay of Missouri was on ‘Face the Nation’ and he had this to say about the situation in Ferguson following the death of Michael Brown at the hands of the police:
“I am not really concerned about the funeral reigniting the tensions. I guess what I am most concerned about, and I made a promise to Michael Brown’s parents that I would do everything to bring all of the resources of the federal government to this investigation so that it is transparent, so that it is a viable investigation and we bet [sic] to the truth. Now, I am more concerned that if we do not get to the truth and get to what actually happened and bring justice to this situation, then there is going to be a problem in the streets.”

Yesterday America’s Watchtower covered the story of the University of Colorado being called “culturally chauvinist” for naming dorms with English names and today brings us anther story of political correctness run amok.
Today’s story comes from the state of Vermont and includes a restaurant and a sign with the word ‘bacon’ in it. According to this story, the town of Winooski allows businesses to put up signs in public parks where that business has helped to maintain public flowerbeds. ‘Sneakers Bistro’ is a restaurant which was involved in the program.
So ‘Sneakers Bistro’ put up a sign which read ‘Yield Sneakers Bacon’ and that is when the problem began. If you are on Facebook you have most likely seen the bacon meme pop up from time to time and, in my opinion, this was probably a takeoff from that meme–or perhaps inspired by it. But that is just a guess.

Last week on America’s Watchtower we still managed to discuss 12 stories even though it seemed to me to be a slow week: The DOJ tried to suppress the Michael Brown robbery video, people on the left defended Rick Perry, the National Guard was called up by the Missouri governor, a rift between Harry Reid and Barack Obama, Rick Perry turned himself in, new polls in New Hampshire, a possible conflict of interest in the Rick Perry indictment, a Fast and Furious update, Barack Obama broke the law when he exchanged Bowe Bergdahl for five GITMO detainees, Harry Reid’s racism, and the University of Colorado being called culturally chauvinist.
