Obamacare: The Obama regime knew about the website’s security risks beforehand and launched it anyway

December 19, 2013

We already know that the Obama regime knew the Obamacare website would not ready for prime time before the launch but decided to launch it anyway, and subsequently we have learned about the security risks to the healthcare website. One cyber-security expert went so far as to say that there was no security built into the website.

Surely the Obama regime would delay the launch if it knew there was no security, right? Not so fast; according to this article newly released document show that in the Obama regime did in fact know about the security concerns with the website but went forward with the launch anyway. Read more…

Obamacare: Illinois tells 30,000 “successful” enrollees they must reapply for healthcare coverage

December 19, 2013

According to this article the state of Illinois is in the process of contacting 30,000 people who have successfully applied for Obamacare to inform them the state made a mistake and they will have to start the process all over if they want to be in compliance with the law. (The biggest shocker here is the fact that 30,000 people managed to complete the process in the first place.)

Apparently the state erroneously told these people they were eligible for Medicaid and sent them to the Federal government.

But in response to growing complaints, state officials announced Wednesday they’re in the midst of calling and emailing the 30,000 exchange customers sent to Medicaid to tell them to do their applications all over again if they believe they were mistakenly pegged for the low-income program.

Illinois Department of Insurance spokesman Mike Claffey said that many Illinoisans who were sent into Medicaid when they applied for coverage believe they were incorrectly rejected from buying private coverage on the exchange.

Harry Reid accepts taxpayer subsidy to enroll in Obamacare

December 18, 2013

Just two days ago Kathleen Sebelius finally admitted that some people were going to have to pay higher premiums under Obamacare in order to help subsidize other people.

Naturally you would think that the people who would receive the subsidies would be lower income families who need help in order to conform with the law which mandates they buy insurance the cannot afford and you would be right. The law allows for a family of four who earn less than $94,200 the opportunity to get a subsidy, but they are not the only ones who are eligible for taxpayer subsidies–so is the Congress, even though they earn much, much more than the $94,200 threshold.

On the same day that Kathleen Sebelius confessed about Obamacare we also learned that Marco Rubio received a $10,000 subsidy when he purchased a healthcare plan through the Washington DC exchange, and we are now learning in this article that Harry Reid is also accepting a subsidy which could total up to $11,000.

Senate Democrats side with illegal aliens over disabled veterans in battle over Paul Ryan’s budget proposal

December 17, 2013

As America’s Watchtower reported earlier tonight the Paul Ryan/Patty Murray budget proposal which passed the House earlier this week included a provision not only to cut pensions to military personnel but also cut the pensions of disabled veterans

Up until this point I could not think of anything more disgusting or disgraceful than not honoring our promise to the people who have signed up to defend this great nation, and even more so, not living up to the promise made to those who have suffered debilitating injuries in the process.

But leave it to the Senate Democrats to reach even lower than did Paul Ryan and every single House Republican who voted for this compromise. Realizing what a disgrace this was Senator Sessions introduced an amendment to the budget compromise which would have restored funding for military pensions and replaced it with cuts to an IRS tax credit which is used by illegal aliens.

Paul Ryan’s budget deal does not exempt disabled veterans from military pension cuts

December 17, 2013

It is well known, or at least it should be, that the budget deal which Paul Ryan struck with Patty Murray cuts the pensions of military personnel.

As sickening as this aspect of the budget deal is to me it gets even worse because according to this report the deal does not exempt disabled veterans from the pension cuts as was previously thought:

A provision cutting the pensions of military retirees in the bipartisan budget deal that the Senate will vote on this week does not exempt disabled veterans, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

Disabled retirees were previously thought to be exempt from the changes to military retiree pay, which could cost servicemembers up to $124,000 over a 20-year period.

Obamacare: On the same day Kathleen Sebelius admits some people will pay more for healthcare Marco Rubio accepts a $10,000 healthcare subsidy

December 17, 2013

Earlier today Kathleen Sebelius admitted what many people have already found out the hard way; Obamacare is going to cause some people to pay more for insurance rather than seeing their premiums drop by $2,500 as promised.

Said Sebelius, “There are some individuals who may be looking at increases. I think you cannot make a statement based on cost unless you compare what they had to what they’re going into.”

Notice how she defended this in the same sentence? Yeah, you may be paying more but you are getting better coverage. That is what she was saying. So if you are an older woman you get maternity and pediatric care which you do not need and you are supposed to be thankful because your more expensive insurance plan now covers those services? And this is but one example of people who will be paying for coverage they do not need in order to subsidize the insurance coverage of others, what a bargain!

It is really not that big of a story that Sebelius came clean on this for she is merely admitting a reality that many people already know, this next story is a bigger deal in my opinion.

A Federal Judge rules the NSA spying program is “likely” unconstitutional

December 16, 2013

Earlier today a Federal Judge ruled that the NSA spying program is “likely” unconstitutional and issued a preliminary injunction against the program.

A federal judge ruled Monday that the National Security Agency program which collects information on nearly all telephone calls made to, from or within the United States is likely unconstitutional.

U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon found that the program appears to violate the Fourth Amendment ban on unreasonable searches and seizures

“I cannot imagine a more ‘indiscriminate’ and ‘arbitrary invasion’ than this systematic and high-tech collection and retention of personal data on virtually every single citizen for purposes of querying it and analyzing it without judicial approval”

The NSA is considering granting Edward Snowden amnesty in return for the stolen documents

December 15, 2013

Edward Snowden, through the leakage of several top secret NSA documents, has reveals the depths of the NSA spying program. Because of this he was forced to flee the United States and now lives in asylum in Russia.

While the ramifications of the Snowden leaks have been far reaching it has been reported that only 1% of the documents in Edward Snowden’s possession have been made public. This means that there is an astronomical amount of potentially damaging material which has not yet come to light, and the NSA will do just about anything to ensure it never does–up to an including granting Edward Snowden amnesty in return for the unreleased documents. Remembering Brian Terry on the third anniversary of his death

December 15, 2013

Agent%20Terry Today marks the third anniversary of that fateful night in Peck Canyon when Brian Terry, armed with only a beanbag gun, walked into an ambush which the DEA and FBI knew was coming and was murdered in cold blood with weapons the Obama regime allowed to walk into Mexico.

Last week we remembered the tragic events in Newtown Connecticut on the one year anniversary of the tragic event that happened at the Sandy Hook Elementary School and Barack Obama and the Democrats used this to once again push for more gun control. Yet Barack Obama could not be reached for comment on the three year anniversary of Brian Terry’s murder. Perhaps he was too busy golfing or planning his scheduled Hawaiian vacation to be bothered.

Of course we all know why Barack Obama remained silent on this sad day–it did not fit the agenda, and that is quite ironic when you remember the reason why the Obama regime was allowing weapons to walk into Mexico was to prove the 90% lie in an attempt to gain support for both more gun control and the UN small arms treaty, but that did not work out so well so Barack Obama would just assume that we did not remember what happened on December 15, 2010.

Well, I woke up this morning to 10 inches of new snow and it is still coming down slightly so here is Black Sabbath performing Snowblind live from 1978. Pretty sure Ozzy is singing about a different kind off snow though!
