With Barack Obama exposed as the liar he is after his now infamous “if you like your plan you can keep it” lie the majority of the American people now feel as if Barack Obama has no credibility.
However, there is one promise Barack Obama has kept; do you remember when he said that under his plan energy rates would “necessarily skyrocket?” I am sure you do, but if you are one of the useful idiots who have always taken Barack Obama at his word and are not familiar with this promise here is the video:

JFK assassinated 50 years ago today
On December 22nd 1963 a disgruntled and deranged communist determined to one day be famous–Lee Harvey Oswald–ascended the stairs of the Texas School Book Depository and dubiously etched his name into the history books. As President Kennedy’s motorcade turned up Elm Street and headed into Dealy Plaza in Dallas Texas, Oswald fired three shots from the book depository, killing the president and wounding John Connally. (At least that is the official story.)
As Lee Harvey Oswald tried to make his escape–probably to Mexico and then on to Cuba–he was confronted by Officer J.D. Tippet whom he also murdered before hiding in a movie theater where he was eventually captured.
Seven months earlier Lee Harvey Oswald failed in an attempt to assassinate General Edwin Walker, believing he was successful he confessed to his wife that he had killed the general and justified it to her by comparing Walker to Hitler. The attempt proved unsuccessful because the shot he fired was deflected by the window paine he fired the shot through. Marina Oswald never reported her husband to the authorities–if she had the assassination of JFK would never have happened.
On November 24th, 1963 Oswald was felled by a bullet fired by Jack Ruby, fueling speculation that there was actually a government conspiracy to kill the president. I am one of those people who believe there is much more to this story than we will ever know. We will never know the full details of that day and what led Lee Harvey Oswald to commit this heinous crime because of Jack Ruby.
November 22nd, 1963 was one of the darkest days in American history, those that did not live through that day can never fully understand what America was going through during this day. But there must have been anger, confusion, heartbreak, disbelief, and grief the likes of which had never been felt before on a national level.
Then vs now: The Democrats on the “nuclear option”
As you are all aware by now yesterday Harry Reid implemented what the Democrats once called the “nuclear option” which means the Democrats and Barack Obama will have free reign to make political and judicial appointments.
The Democrats now believe this is a great thing and the only way to preserve democracy and do the business of the people, but of course they did not always feel the same way.
When the Republicans threatened to do this several years ago they were singing a different tune, basically stating that this would be the end of democracy.
Today MSNBC, you read that right, MSNBC ran a video highlighting the position that Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Harry Reid took when the Republicans threatened to do this. (MSNBC is probably trying to get back whatever credibility they may once have had before the Martin Bashir/Sarah Palin brouhaha earlier this week.)
It is interesting to note that at the very end of the video the MSNBC reporter stated that this was one way for the Democrats to get the attention away from Obamacare because this is something that I wrote about yesterday.

Of course the Republicans are now up in arms because the Democrats exercised the “nuclear option” when they threatened to do the same thing. It is funny the way positions change base solely on which party is in power for they are only interested in ruling over us and not in what is doing best for us. I think it is likely the Republicans are embarrassed because the Democrats had the balls to do what they didn’t dare to do.
Mitch McConnell calls the Tea Party a “bunch of bullies”
If this story is true Mitch McConnell called the Tea Party a bunch of bullies who should be punched in the nose while on a conference call with Karl Rove’s organization:
McConnell said the Tea Party was ‘nothing but a bunch of bullies,’” the source said. “And he said ‘you know how you deal with schoolyard bullies? You punch them in the nose and that’s what we’re going to do”
Karl Rove’s organization is designed to, and charged with, protecting the incumbent establishment Republicans from challenges outside of the ruling class, so it is no surprise to hear hostility voiced against those that threaten their power.
Harry Reid implements the nuclear option, is this the diversion America’s Watchtower warned you about?
On November 12th I wrote a post entitled, Beware the false flag which will divert our attention from the Obamacare debacle, in which I warned that I sensed the Democrats would try to divert our attention away from Obamacare with some other major story. I did not know what that story would be, but I knew it would be something big. I warned Americans not be be distracted by this story, claiming that while it would need to be covered we must not let it come at the expense of covering the Obamacare debacle.
Today Harry Reid implemented the “nuclear option” which means all of Barack Obama’s appointments will only require a 51 vote majority instead of the 60 vote super majority. I think we have found our diversion.
Obamacare: Report claims that 50-100 million Americans will lose their healthcare when the employer mandate kicks in
To date roughly 5 million Americans have lost their healthcare coverage due to Obamacare. The Obama regime defends this by claiming that this number represents only a small percentage of Americans who were in the individual mandate while those who are provided their healthcare through their employees–the vast majority of Americans–have been unaffected.
While this is true it is only because the individual mandate has gone into effect while the employer mandate was delayed until next year. Once the employer mandate goes into effect the percentage of Americans who lose their healthcare coverage will increase dramatically. That is what Barack Obama is not telling the American people.
How many people will lose their healthcare insurance when the employer mandate goes into effect?
Obamacare: The payment portion of the healthcare website has not even been set up yet
Yesterday Henry Chao testified in front of the Congress on the failed Obamacare website roll out and he made a stunning admission when asked how much of the system has been finished. Here is what he had to say:
“I think it’s, uh, just an approximation, we’re probably sitting somewhere between 60 and 70 percent, because we still have to build the systems–”
In the interest of fairness it is quite possible that he was clumsily trying to say that 60-70% of the website was completed, but still, that is an unbelievable number considering the Federal government spent over $600 to build this website and the part of the site which is completed is already not working. The government has been forced to work on fixes to the portion of the website which is up and running and most of the site still is not even ready for prime time.
His excuse for the incomplete system is even more stunning then the revelation he was trying to defend:
Texas drivers stopped at roadblock and asked for DNA samples
According to this report, as part of a Federal government survey, several Texas drivers, who had done nothing wrong, were stopped at a roadblock and asked to provide Federal contractors with DNA samples:
Some drivers along a busy Fort Worth street on Friday were stopped at a police roadblock and directed into a parking lot, where they were asked by federal contractors for samples of their breath, saliva and even blood.
It was part of a government research study aimed at determining the number of drunken or drug-impaired drivers.
“It just doesn’t seem right that you can be forced off the road when you’re not doing anything wrong,” said Kim Cope, who said she was on her lunch break when she was forced to pull over at the roadblock on Beach Street in North Fort Worth.
Remembering the Gettysburg Address on its 150th anniversary
Today is the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. Here is a repost of something I wrote about this a couple of years ago:
November 19th, 1863: a crowd gathers to witness the dedication of the nation’s first national cemetery. The site is Gettysburg Pennsylvania, where less than five moths earlier the Confederate army led by Robert E Lee made its last incursion into Northern territory before being driven south by the Union army which was commanded by General Meade.
This Union victory is considered the turning point in the Civil War, for up until that point while the Union had managed a few victories they were turned back on many occasions and moral in the North was at an all time low before this battle. Ironically the victorious General Meade was relieved by President Lincoln shortly after this battle because he failed to pursue General Lee’s troops and demolish them while they were on the run.
General Meade was replaced by Ulysses S Grant who led the Union into the battle of the Wilderness, and while that battle was considered a draw, it was what happened next that was of the most import. The Union soldiers expected to either fall back into defensive positions or remain where they were as General Lee escaped once again, but they cheered loudly when General Grant declared that they would pursue General Lee and would not stop until victory was achieved. Lincoln had finally found his general and the rest is history.
Edward Everett–who was considered the “key note” speaker and was the great orator of the time–spoke for over two hours before giving way to President Lincoln, but nobody remembers what Edward Everett said that day because his speech was eclipsed in just over two minutes by the man who gave what is considered to be one of the greatest speeches of all time.
Edward Everett himself said this of the Gettysburg address in a letter he wrote to President Lincoln the following day: “I should be glad, if I could flatter myself that I came as near the central idea of the occasion in two hours, as you did in two minutes.”
During the Gettysburg Address Abraham Lincoln stated, “the world will little note, nor long remember, what we say here.” Oh, how wrong he was about that, history has never forgotten what President Lincoln said on that day.
