Yesterday America’s Watchtower covered the story of Serco: Serco is a British company which has been hired by the Obama regime to implement the healthcare exchanges which officially went into effect today. Serco is also under investigation by the British government for fraud to the tune of $80 million. Why has Paul Ryan been silent during the continuing resolution debate?
Paul Ryan is the House Budget Committee Chairman and he has been a leader on budget issues, going so far as releasing what has been called the ‘Ryan budget.’ This is a plan that he believes will balance the budget in 10 years. He has been at the forefront of all the budget debates warning people that there is precious little time to act if we are to avoid a total collapse.
So it wouldn’t be surprising in the least if Paul Ryan had some words to say about the latest continuing resolution debate, but to date he has not been up front and center in the debate. In fact he has been silent, so where is he? That is a question that this article asks.
The article then goes on to lay out a few possibilities, including the theory he may be distancing himself from the fight in preparation for a presidential run, and while Paul Ryan claims he has been working behind the scenes many fellow Republicans seem to be wondering why he hasn’t been more involved.

Whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government…..
Of course those words come straight from the Declaration of Independence and here is the whole quote:

Those are powerful words and yet so simple in their meaning: Man has been given rights from God and as such these rights cannot rightfully be taken away from us by any man or any government. The people institute a government as a means to secure and protect these rights, not to create our rights or determine who is eligible for these rights. We consent to the government’s will in order to ensure that nobody can take away what is rightfully and divinely ours, but when the government is at odds with this principle it is our right and our duty to stand up to the government.
Obamacare: The company in charge of implementing the healthcare exchanges is under investigation for fraud in England
At the same time House Republicans seek to provide Americans with the same mandate delay Barack Obama and the Democrats gave to their corporate masters comes news that the British company hired to implement the healthcare exchanges is under investigation for defrauding the British government out of $80 million.
A British multinational being paid $1.2 billion to implement Obamacare’s federal insurance exchanges is under investigation after allegedly overcharging the British government by tens of millions of dollars.
Reuters reports that Britain’s Serious Fraud Office is now looking into Serco, a massive service and security firm employing 120,000 worldwide, after the company reportedly overbilled its government client as much as $80 million for criminal electronic monitoring devices.
Barack Obama: “The Federal government is America’s largest employer”
At roughly 5:00 this evening, as I was driving home from work, I was graced with the eloquent words of Barack Obama as he delivered his latest fear-mongering the-sky-is-falling-we-are-all-going-to-die-you-people-cannot-live-a-day-without-us-don’t-you-understand-how-important-we-are-we-are-all-doomed statement on the impending government shutdown.
Normally when I hear the president speak my eyes glaze over and I drift away as he spouts the usual platitudes and demagoguery, however as I was driving at the time I was not afforded that luxury.
During this statement he made a comment that drew my attention: he said that it was important that we remember “the federal government is America’s largest employer.”
This may be the truest statement he has ever made, and doesn’t he understand THAT IS THE PROBLEM in the first place?!
The NSA is using data-mining to create graphs on American citizens
We have been told time and time again that the NSA was not spying on Americans We have been told that the NSA was simply data-mining, collecting metadata, looking for patterns while the actual contents of our phone calls and emails remain private.
But now we learn, if this article is correct, that the NSA is doing much more than simply looking for patterns, they are actually using social networks to create graphs which can be much more intrusive than the agency has let on. Read more…
Government shutdown looms as the Senate prepares to reject the latest House proposal
We all know the story: The House passed a continuing resolution which would fund the entire government with the exception of some portions of Obamacare (some of the law was written to unconstitutionally fund the program without Congressional approval) and the Senate promptly amended the proposal to remove the defunding language before sending it back to the House.
All eyes were on the House today to see what the next move would be and now we have our answer. The House is going to vote to fund the entire government, including Obamacare, with the provision that the individual mandate be delayed for one year.

John McCain hires Syrian rebel activist Elizabeth O’Bagy
Are you familiar with the name Elizabeth O’Bagy? Readers of America’s Watchtower probably are, but if you are not familiar with the name you should be so here is the back story:
Elizabeth O’Bagy worked for a conservative think tank called the Institute for the Study of War. She has been a vocal supporter for Barack Obama’s plan to bomb Syria in support of the al-Qaeda rebels and she wrote an op-ed piece for the Wall Street Journal which several politicians–including John McCain and John Kerry–used as justification for war with Syria. She was fired by the Institute for the Study of War because, we were told, she lied on her resume about her credentials.
It turned out that she was not fired because she lied on her resume because the think tank knew she was not the PhD. she claimed to be when she was hired in the first place. She was actually fired because while advocating for the Syrian rebels it was discovered that she was being paid by the rebels for her propaganda while drawing a salary from the State Department:
The termination came after a series of articles in The Daily Caller revealed O’Bagy’s connection with a pro-rebel lobbying group that was not disclosed in a Wall Street Journal op-ed by O’Bagy.
But in addition to her work for the Institute for the Study of War, O’Bagy is also the political director for the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF), a group that advocates within the United States for Syria’s rebels — a fact that the Journal did not disclose in O’Bagy’s piece.
In an interview with The Daily Caller, O’Bagy said that despite her title as the group’s political director, she is paid as a contractor.
She insisted that she is not involved in the political lobbying that SETF does.
She defended this by claiming that while she is the political director on paper she really has nothing to do with political lobbying. Yeah, right…..

My email to Senator Ayotte on her decision to vote for cloture on the continuing resolution
Today all but 19 Republicans voted to fund Obamcare when they voted for cloture on the continuing resolution. The ruling class elitist Republicans who sided with John McCain over Ted Cruz will defend their vote thusly: I voted for cloture but I voted against the amendment to fund Obamacare.
These elitists are trying to have it both ways for they knew when they voted for cloture that they didn’t have the votes to keep Obamacare defunded, therefor the cloture vote was a vote to fund Obamacare. They are trying to have it both ways and they think that the American people are too stupid to understand this.
Here are the 19 Republicans who did not vote for cloture:
Mike Crapo, Mike Enzi, Deb Fischer, Chuck Grassley, Dean Heller, James Inhofe, Mike Lee, Jim Moran, Rand Paul, Rob Portman, Jim Risch, Pat Roberts, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Jeff Sessions, Richard Shelby, Pat Toomey, David Vitter, and of course, Ted Cruz.
Noticeably absent from that list is my Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte, so I wrote an email to her describing my displeasure with her decision.
