Last Sunday my son and I had the pleasure of seeing Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds perform live in Boston and this Friday we are going to be seeing the band which has been called the greatest live act on the planet–Muse.

Several years ago Riverview Gun Sales legally sold a Bushmaster assault weapon to Nancy Lanza. Nancy Lanza is the mother of Adam Lanza and she was the first victim in the Sandy Hook massacre. It was this weapon we are being told that Adam Lanza used to slaughter 2o schoolchildren although there is still a question as to whether or not this weapon was used in the massacre. Initial reports said that this weapon was left in the trunk and later recovered there by the authorities, but that hasn’t stopped the mainstream media from pushing Barack Obama’s narrative without question.
Shortly after the killings the federal government raided Riverview Gun Sales and now the ATF has revoked the firearm permit from the gun shop. The question is why, but the ATF is silent. Here is what the owner of the gun shop had to say:
There is nothing more devastating than the loss of a child,” LaGuercia said in a statement in December. “We are absolutely appalled that the product that we sold several years ago would be used in this type of horrendous crime. Our hearts go out to the victims and the families
From all accounts Riverview Gun Sales legally sold this weapon to a law abiding citizen so it sees as though an explanation is due because this seems highly unusual.
It appears as if the weapon and the shop which sold it are being held accountable for the actions of a deranged individual–much like Nakoula Basseley Nakoula is being held accountable for the Benghazi terrorist attack for making a video which was not responsible for the attack–but that appears to be the way Barack Obama’s Gestapo behaves in the new America. They are using fear and intimidation to target those with whom they disagree, and the fact that innocent businesses are being targeted and shut down for following a law with which Barack Obama disagrees should be frightening to all. Whose next?
Barack Obama’s history of mysogyny
One of the definitions of misogyny is the sexual denigration of women, and sexual objectification of women, and that is something that Barack Obama has displayed several times now.
Most recently Barack Obama had to apologize for the sexual objectification of California Attorney General, Kamala Harris, for saying “she also happens to be by far the best-looking attorney general in the country,” but this is not the first time he has used such sexist remarks to describe a woman.
It was back in 2011 when Barack Obama sexualized Debbie Wasserman Shultz by stating the following:
you want Debbie alongside you, because not only is she charming and has that dazzling smile, but she’s tough as nails
Sure, he thought he was complimenting these two women, but in the private sector this would be grounds for sexual harassment yet for Barack Obama it seems to be business as usual. And who could forget this:
During the presidential race Mitt Romney took all sorts of heat for mentioning he had his staff compile binders full of women who were qualified for jobs yet these same media outlets remain silent on Barack Obama’s missteps with women, but I would expect no less. Can you imagine the field day the media would have if any of the examples above were of Mitt Romney instead of Barack Obama?
It makes you wonder if there is more to Michelle Obama’s slip of the tongue when she called herself a single mother.
Robin Kelly is a Democrat who is running for the seat which was vacated by Jesse Jackson Jr., and she is against people being allowed to carry concealed weapons. She decided to defend her position by saying this:
in the movie [theater], they have conceal and carry, but nobody pulled out their guns to kill the gentleman that did all the damage that he did.
She was talking about the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting in the quote above. Much like Diana DeGette, who is the main sponsor of a bill banning high capacity magazines but doesn’t know magazines can be reloaded once they are emptied, this woman has no idea what the hell she is talking about.
She doesn’t even know the proper term for a person who is concealing a weapon–and why did she refer to James Holmes as a gentleman–but I’ll let that go because that is the least of her misstatements. She claimed that the theater in which James Holmes committed his despicable act was a gun free zone–in fact she was using this to prove that concealed carry doesn’t work–but the truth is that particular movie theater was the only one in the area which was actually a gun free zone. That is why James Holmes picked this theater to do his deed–he knew this was the one place where he would be the only person with a weapon.
Robin Kelly is either woefully ignorant of the facts or she is purposely lying to the people she wishes to represent in order to push her anti-second amendment agenda.
At this point I can even decide which one would be worse…..
We learned yesterday that Barack Obama is using a 20 year old survey of 250 people to make the unsubstantiated claim that 40% of all guns are purchased without background checks in an attempt to manipulate the narrative to draw support for universal background checks.
With his credibility on this issue now in serious doubt Barack Obama showed us again today that he is willing to bend the truth in order to advance his agenda. Here is what Barack Obama told Democrat donors about the Sandy Hook massacre:
Now, over the next couple of months, we’ve got a couple of issues: gun control. (Applause.) I just came from Denver, where the issue of gun violence is something that has haunted families for way too long, and it is possible for us to create common-sense gun safety measures that respect the traditions of gun ownership in this country and hunters and sportsmen, but also make sure that we don’t have another 20 children in a classroom gunned down by a semiautomatic weapon – by a fully automatic weapon in that case, sadly.
Well that is an interesting slip of the tongue, don’t you think? But was it a slip of the tongue or was is a deliberate lie by the president designed to forward his agenda? If he misspoke and then corrected himself, why did his correction include the false information while his first statement contained the official story we have been told about Sandy Hook?
I say the official story because the story we are being told now is not the same story we were told at first:
And when you look at the Fast and Furious and Benghazi cover-ups the Obama regime has a fleeting relationship with the truth and a strong history of not being completely honest with the American people.
Democrat sponsor of high capacity magazine ban doesn’t even know what a high capacity magazine is
Diana DeGette is a Representative from Colorado and she is leading the charge in the Congress to ban high capacity magazines. Recently she was asked how banning high capacity magazines would help to curb gun violence and this is what she had to say:
I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now, they’re going to shoot them. So if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time, because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available
She believes that if the Congress bans high capacity magazines now they eventually will not be available because people will have shot them all. She obviously has no clue what she is talking about as she doesn’t understand that magazines can be reused once they are emptied.
This would be laughable if it weren’t for the fact that she is leading the charge on this issue and she has no idea what the hell she is supporting.
Barack Obama has been running around the country siting a statistic about 40% of the guns bought in the United States were purchased without a background check; he is doing this in an attempt to gain support for background checks, here is a sample of what Barack Obama has been saying:
Why wouldn’t we want to make it more difficult for a dangerous person to get his or her hand on a gun? Why wouldn’t we want to close the loophole that allows as many as 40 percent of all gun purchases to take place without a background check? Why wouldn’t we do that?
There is just one small problem with the 40% number that he is touting, it is based on a 20 year old survey in which only 251 people answered the portion about guns.
This is not the first time the Obama regime has used an erroneous number to push for more gun control so it is not surprising to see him doing it again. You may remember when the Obama regime was gearing up for their first attempt at gun control that Hillary ran around the country proclaiming that 90% of the weapons recovered at crime scenes on the Mexican border were sold by American gun shops. This was a blatant lie so the Obama regime implemented Operation Fast and Furious in the hope of making that number a reality, and this of course ended with the deaths of Jamie Zapata, Brian Terry, and hundreds of Mexican nationals.
The end justifies the means and these two examples show us that the Obama regime is all too willing to lie to the American people, and to do whatever it takes, in order to get what he wants.
Democrats in the Congress propose a $10,000 fine on gun owners who do not purchase liability insurance
The gun grabbers are now looking at innovative ways to implement gun control laws and the latest example of this is a proposal by Democrats in the Congress to force gun owners to purchase liability insurance before they can practice their second amendment right.
A contingent of liberal Democrats in Congress is proposing a new federal gun control idea: mandatory liability insurance for gun owners.
When New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney introduced the legislation last month with eight other Democrats, she boasted that it is “the first bill to require liability insurance of gun buyers nationwide.”
Maloney’s “Firearm Risk Protection Act” requires gun buyers to have “a qualified liability insurance policy” before they are able to legally purchase a firearm.
It also calls for the federal government to impose a fine as much as $10,000 if a gun owner doesn’t have insurance on a firearm purchased after the bill goes into effect.
“It shall be unlawful for a person who owns a firearm purchased on or after the effective date of this subsection not to be covered by a qualified liability insurance policy,” the bill text reads.
Forcing Americans to buy insurance or face a fine, where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, Obamacare.
When I first read this story earlier today I thought it had to be an April Fools joke, but apparently it is true; Barack Obama has proclaimed April to be “National Financial Capability Month.”
He wants to use April as a month to educate our children about fiscal responsibility:
President Barack Obama has proclaimed April “National Financial Capability Month,” during which his administration will do things such as teach young people “how to budget responsibly.”
“I call upon all Americans to observe this month with programs and activities to improve their understanding of financial principles and practices,” Obama said in an official proclamation released Friday.
“My Administration is dedicated to helping people make sound decisions in the marketplace,” he said.
“Together, we can prepare young people to tackle financial challenges–from learning how to budget responsibly to saving for college, starting a business, or opening a retirement account,” he said.
“My Administration continues to encourage responsibility at all levels of our financial system by cracking down on deceptive practices and ensuring that consumers are informed of their rights,” he said.
He wants to promote responsibility at ALL levels of our financial system, that is except for the federal government I suppose, because as the article I linked to above states, he is the man who has added $53,377 in debt to every single household in the nation.
The irony and the hypocrisy of this was just too good to pass up, just another example of Barack Obama once again telling the American people to do what he says and not what he does.
Barack Obama attends a race baiting sermon on Easter Sunday
This is not surprising to those of us who know that Barack Obama attended a racist church for twenty years, and this is not surprising to those of us who know that Barack Obama called the racist, Jew hating Pastor Jeremiah Wright his spiritual leader, but today on Easter Sunday Barack Obama attended a church service where the sermon was partially dedicated to playing the race card and attacking the “religious right.”
Here is what Barack Obama listened to while in church today:
People often want things to go back to the way things used to be, before “work got difficult and faith got confused, and life got more confusing,” Leon said, according to the pool report.
“You cannot go back,” Leon said, citing the words of Jesus. “It drives me crazy when the captains of the religious right are always calling us back … for blacks to be back in the back of the bus … for women to be back in the kitchen … for immigrants to be back on their side of the border.”
I am sure Barack Obama will claim he had no idea that this was what was being promoted in this church. We will be asked to believe it is an incredible coincidence that after spending twenty years in a racist church Barack Obama just happened to wander into this church unawares.
Barack Obama has a history of supporting this kind of rhetoric, it is in his very soul, so who are we to believe; Barack Obama or our lying eyes?
