Instead of staying in Washington and trying to help broker a deal on sequestration Barack Obama instead decided to fly around the country and engage in a propaganda war in the hope that it would intimidate the Congress into striking a deal which would avoid the cuts he once proposed.
We heard stories of the hellfire and brimstone doomsday scenario of letting the sequester happen, yet this is all about priorities in spending. Surely a 2% cut in the rate of future spending can be absorbed without much harm inflicted on the American people, surely there is government waste which can be eliminated first.
At least one government agency, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, thinks so and they sent a letter to the federal government asking if there was any wiggle room allowed in the cuts to make them less painful. The regime said no, and it is hard to believe this is limited to this one particular agency. Read more…
For two weeks Barack Obama transformed himself into John the Revelator and put forth a vision of impending doom if the sequester was allowed to be implemented, however when it became clear to him that the Republicans were not going to cave for once he began to walk back his doomsday predictions. You can read my two previous posts on this here and here.
Barack Obama has now sent out his economic adviser, Gene Sperling, to continue walking back the armageddon scenario he set forth in the first place:
Nobody ever suggested that this … was going to have all its impact in the first few days,” he told “NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “It is a slow grind.
Really Gene? Nobody ever suggested the sequester would be felt in the first few days? Perhaps he missed what Barack Obama was saying:
As you can see and hear in the video, Barack Obama claimed the sequester would bring “immediate painful” budget cuts to take place. The definition of ‘immediate’ is this: Occurring or done at once; instant. So yes, Barack Obama was doing more than suggesting the cuts would be felt in the first few days, he was basically guaranteeing it. But Gene Sperling conveniently forgot this while spinning the president’s newest line of propaganda.
Since a debate with Mitt Romney last October Barack Obama has made the claim that the sequester was not his idea, and this is a claim he has made repeatedly in the last two or three weeks while on his propaganda tour across the nation.
However Bob Woodard shed some light on this fib not too long ago and we learned that the sequester was actually Barack Obama’s idea, in fact he once threatened to veto any attempt by the Congress at eliminating the sequester spending cuts:
So for months Barack Obama has been lying to the American people about the sequester, but don’t take my word for it. On ‘Meet the Press’ over the weekend White House economic adviser Gene Sperling admitted that the sequester was proposed by Barack Obama, here is the video:
Of course he also said it wasn’t Barack Obama’s fault because he was forced to do it by the inaction of the Congress and I would expect nothing less from the man who refuses to take the blame for any of his failed policies. And I thought he was supposed to be a leader and not a follower.

We have watched Barack Obama move from one manufactured crisis to the next creating fear and division among the people in an attempt to push his agenda. His strategy of governing is one of divide and conquer and this is the strategy which also won him reelection last year.
The latest example of his divide and conquer strategy comes in the form of the sequestration as he tries to play Americans against each other yet again–this time in the form of public sector versus private sector employees, so this week’s musical selection is a song called ‘Divide and Conquer’ by a band called Husker Du.
Enjoy:
Big Brother on every wall
Muzak plays in all the halls
Empires see the rise and fall
They divide, conquer
It’s not about my politics
Something happened way too quick
Bunch of men who played it sick
They divide, conquer
It’s all here before your eyes
Safety is a big disguise
That hides among the other lies
They divide, conquer
Well, I expect I won’t be heard
‘Cause my silence is assured
Never a discouraging word
They divide and conquer
For two weeks Barack Obama has been spreading an economic apocalyptic vision of hell-fire and brimstone if his idea of sequestration is allowed to come to pass. But it turns out that there will be no pale horse to behold and the seven seals will remain unbroken for the time being.
Because Barack Obama now realizes that the Republicans are not going to cave for once and the sequester will happen, and people will wake up tomorrow and realize there will be no sequestageddon, he has been forced to walk back his previous fear mongering propaganda campaign in an effort to save face.
After his breakfast with Congressional leaders this morning Barack Obama continued to walk back his apocalyptic vision of the future:
We will get through this,” Obama told reporters after meeting with congressional leaders at the White House. “This is not going to be an apocalypse I think, as some people said. It’s just dumb. It’s going to hurt. … But if Congress comes to its senses, then there’s a lot of open running room to grow our economy fairly quickly
My only question is this: Why does Barack Obama have a problem with a little pain? After all, hasn’t he been telling us for years that we all must sacrifice a little bit if we want the economy to turn around? If you ask me it looks as if Barack Obama has gotten what we wanted all along and he is now trying to distance himself from his own policies.
Barack Obama has had evolving positions on the issue of sequester; first he came up with the idea of these automatic spending cuts and threatened to veto the Congress’ attempt to over-ride the spending cuts in an effort to portray himself as a fiscally responsible expense cutter.
But that was before the election. After the election Barack Obama’s position evolved when he thought he saw an opportunity to break the backs of the Republicans in the House. Suddenly he saw sequester as something that would destroy the economy he had worked so hard to save and began a fear mongering propaganda campaign to frighten the American people while at the same time trying to lay the blame at the feet of the Republicans.
Barack Obama’s Education Secretary caught lying about sequestration teacher layoffs
For about two weeks now Barack Obama has been engaged in a fear-mongering, propaganda war against the looming sequestration cuts that he supported and once promised to veto any attempt to reverse.
We have heard everything from Social Security and welfare being cut, 800,ooo layoffs at the Pentagon if sequestration is allowed to happen, air traffic controllers and first responders being laid off, as well as people starving on the streets, border security being cut and an increased risk at a terrorist attack at home all because there is a scheduled 2% cut to the rate of increase in the federal government (I would say budget but there is none.) Rand Paul said it best when he said only in Washington can a spending increase be considered a spending decrease.
Then yesterday, in a blatant attempt to scare people on the right into supporting the repeal of sequestration, the Obama regime released hundreds of illegal aliens and blamed the looming budget cuts and promised there would be more to come if sequestration is allowed to happen.
After the 2012 election was over Barack Obama morphed his campaign apparatus, Obama for America, into a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c) organization called Organizing for America so that he could continue to use his campaign contacts to raise money to promote his liberal agenda.
And now we are learning that Barack Obama is selling access to the White House to Organizing for America.
But those contributions will also translate into access, according to donors courted by the president’s aides. Next month, Organizing for Action will hold a “founders summit” at a hotel near the White House, where donors paying $50,000 each will mingle with Mr. Obama’s former campaign manager, Jim Messina, and Mr. Carson, who previously led the White House Office of Public Engagement.
Giving or raising $500,000 or more puts donors on a national advisory board for Mr. Obama’s group and the privilege of attending quarterly meetings with the president, along with other meetings at the White House. Moreover, the new cash demands on Mr. Obama’s top donors and bundlers come as many of them are angling for appointments to administration jobs or ambassadorships.
Major donors will have frequent meetings with the president at the White House and because Organizing for America is a 501(c) it doesn’t have to disclose its donors, meaning nobody will know who the hell is meeting with the president for what reasons.
Is Barack Obama spamming Twitter to create fake support for gun control legislation?
Is Barack Obama spamming Twitter in order to make it seem as though there is more support for gun control legislation than there really is? That is what at least one Republican thinks who did a little digging into pro-gun control Tweets which came his way recently.
Obama’s anti-gun campaign is a fraud,” Stockman said. “Obama’s supporters are panicking and willing to do anything to create the appearance of popular support, even if it means trying to defraud Congress,” he added. “I call upon the president to denounce this phony spam campaign.
He claims that most of the Tweets are coming from spambots and some of the Tweeters only follow one person and that person happens to be Barack Obama’s former digital strategist–a coincidence?
To be fair, Steve Stockman only received 16 pro-gun control Tweets so this seems to be a small level attempt at best to gain support for gun control, but the mere fact that he received so few Tweets is proof that support is not as widely spread as Barack Obama would have us believe.
There is only one man who decided to look into this so it makes you wonder just how widespread this attempt at spreading propaganda really is.
