Video: Trey Gowdy slams Susan Rice and Jay Carney for lying about the terrorist attack in Libya
Below is a terrific video of Trey Gowdy hammering Susan Rice and Jay Carney for lying about the terrorist attack on the United States consulate in Libya on September 11th.
He nails Susan Rice for claiming “in fact” the attack was spawned by a You Tube video, telling her while he doesn’t know what ‘in fact’ means in diplomatic legalese he knows what it means in a court of law–it means it is a fact.
He then goes after Jay Carney for saying there was “concrete evidence” that the attack was in response to a You Tube video, stating that is even stronger language than stating something is a fact.

The oversight committee held its hearing on the September 11th terrorist attack on the United States consulate in Libya today and from all that I have read to this point they have confirmed what most Americans already knew: The attack was never part of a protest and had nothing to do with the You Tube video, the Obama regime knew this was a terrorist act within 24 hours and yet kept lying about the You Tube video for weeks, the State Department not only denied requests for more security but also didn’t bother to answer requests after telling the security team in Libya to stop bothering them, and the State Department wanted to keep the security force “artificially low” because they were in a residential area. Did I miss anything?
Yet the State Department refuses to admit any mistakes or take responsibility and continues to claim there was adequate security present while defending their decision to blame a You Tube video even as they deny they blamed a You Tube video. This is insane! Do they really believe the American people are this stupid?
The State Department denies it blamed the You Tube video for the terrorist attack in Libya
Late last night the State Department finally admitted that the attack on the United States consulate in Libya was a planned and coordinated terrorist attack and was not the offshoot of a protest over a You Tube video as the Obama regime has been telling us.
Now today the State Department has taken it one step further by denying the department ever blamed the You Tube video in the first place:
But asked about the administration’s initial — and since retracted — explanation linking the violence to protests over an anti-Muslim video circulating on the Internet, one official said, “That was not our conclusion.”
Really? That official must have forgotten about this:
Tomorrow the Congress is set to begin an investigation into the terrorist attack on the American consulate in Libya on the anniversary of September 11th. For weeks after the attack the Obama regime maintained the position that this attack grew out of a protest of a You Tube video and was not planned or coordinated in any way.
Suddenly, with the hearings scheduled for tomorrow, the State Department has finally admitted that this attack did not grow out of a protest and they are now admitting there was no protest in Libya before the attack:
The State Department appears to be claiming that the reason they are changing their story is because they have learned new details as they continue to investigate this attack, but readers of America’s Watchtower know that this isn’t the truth because people in the Obama regime knew within 24 hours that this was a terrorist attack and not simply a protest gone amok.
Even though the Obama regime knew this was a planned terrorist attack they continued to drive home the false narrative that this was the result of a You Tube video right up until Barack Obama lied in front of the United Nations. Now the Obama regime is trying to walk this back ahead of the Congressional hearing in an attempt to distance themselves from the coverup they were engaged in from the beginning by claiming new evidence shows this was a terrorist attack when in fact they knew it from the beginning.
Meanwhile an American citizen still rots in jail because of this You Tube video the Obama regime admits had nothing to do with the attack, without charges and without bail for some alleged parole violation, apparently the first victim of the NDAA…..who’s next?
Obamacare: Restaurants to cut back on full time employees to offset healthcare reform costs
Darden Restaurants is looking at ways to reduce the increased costs associated with Obamacare and have decided to cut down on the number of full time employees in their hire at restaurants such as Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Longhorns on a test basis to see how it works out.
In an emailed statement, Darden said staffing changes are “just one of the many things we are evaluating to help us address the cost implications health care reform will have on our business. There are still many unanswered questions regarding the health care regulations and we simply do not have enough information to make any decisions at this time.”
Darden is not alone, Whitecastle Hamburgers is also considering this option and it is being predicted that this will be the trend in the restaurant industry as companies prepare for the increased costs of doing business because of Obamacare:
I think a lot of those employers, especially restaurants, are just going to ensure nobody gets scheduled more than 30 hours a week,” said Matthew Snook, partner with human-resources consulting company Mercer
So on top of losing whatever healthcare benefits these employees might have had they are also losing hours as a result of Obamacare at a time when Americans are struggling to make ends meet. Suddenly there are even fewer jobs about to be made available and we have Obamacare to thank for that.
The Affordable Care Act doesn’t seem so affordable anymore, does it? But then again it never was meant to be; the plan was to push people away from private insurance and increase the number of people dependent on government well above the 47% that Mitt Romney was talking about and in that regard it appears as if Obamacare is going to be a success.
Did Barack Obama jump the shark with Big Bird?
Was today the Obama campaign’s jump the shark moment? Probably not, but it could be if he lets it.
After last week’s debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama which resulted in what everyone considered to be a landslide victory for the Republican challenger the president decided he had to try to find something from the debate he could tout as a victory. There really wasn’t anything positive Barack Obama could take away from the debate so he decided to latch onto a throw away comment by Mitt Romney, which was meant to be funny, about how while he likes Big Bird he would cut funding to PBS.
The next day Barack Obama joked about how Mitt Romney felt Big Bird was the biggest threat to America. And he continued to use this angle all week long. The Republicans then countered this line of attack by reminding the people that while Barack Obama has mentioned Sesame Street 13 times since the debate he has not bothered to mention the terrorist attack on Libya or his plan to fix the economy once.
Today the Obama campaign thought it would be a good idea to release a new ad featuring Big Bird while mocking Mitt Romney.
I found this new ad put out by American Crossroads over on The Right Scoop and I had to share it with my readers. It is a brutal account of the terrorist attack in Libya and Barack Obama’s reaction to it. This might just be the most hard hitting political ad I have ever seen.
Is Barack Obama receiving illegal foreign campaign donations?
It is now being reported that Barack Obama may be receiving illegal campaign donations from overseas.
President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign has been soliciting foreigners for donations, an explosive report from the conservative Government Accountability Institute (GAI) shows.
Those foreign donors are allegedly visiting the Obama campaign’s donation solicitation Web pages through a social media website the campaign controls, and through an outside website that serves mostly Internet users from outside the United States.
About 20 percent of visitors to the “my.barackobama.com” social media website “originated from foreign locations,” the report found. That Web address is owned and controlled by the Obama re-election campaign.
If this is true it is very interesting considering that during his infamous State of the Union Address Barack Obama railed against the Supreme Court’s ruling on Citizens United claiming:
Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign companies — to spend without limit in our elections,” Obama said tonight. “Well, I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, and worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people, and that’s why I’m urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to right this wrong
Apparently Barack Obama wanted all that illegal foreign money for himself. At this point this is only an accusation, we don’t know if the charges are true. But there is one thing that Harry Reid taught us when he accused Mitt Romney of not paying taxes for ten years, it doesn’t matter if there is any proof. The charges have been levied against Barack Obama; it isn’t up to the GAI to prove the accusations are true, it is up to Barack Obama to prove they are not. Guilty until proven innocent, right Harry?
A Hillary Clinton aide knew the attack on the American consulate in Libya was terrorism one day later, but Susan Rice and Barack Obama didn’t?
On September 12th, 2012–one day after the deadly terrorist attack on the American consulate in Libya which left Chris Stevens raped and murdered along with three other Americans Patrick F. Kennedy–one of Hillary Clinton’s top aides–briefed members on Capitol Hill and informed them that the attack appeared to be a terrorist attack.
He made clear that this was a sophisticated attack,” said one Hill staff aide with a security clearance. “He indicated this was fairly complex, and not, like, a protest that got out of hand. … These were not the kind of weapons you tote around
Within one day people in the Obama regime knew this was a coordinated terrorist attack and not the result of peaceful protest of a You Tube video run amok, yet this did not stop UN Ambassador Susan Rice from hitting every television outlet she could find and state the opposite a few days later.
And this did not stop Barack Obama from addressing the United Nations on September 25th–a full two weeks after the attack–from blaming the You Tube video for the attack.
Susan Rice knew the truth while she was on television lying about the attack and she is now defending herself by saying she was only going with the best intelligence she had available at the time–she can’t be responsible if the intelligence was wrong. We now know her defense of her lies is also a lie and she knew full well this was a terrorist attack almost from the beginning.
Two weeks after the attack there is no way in hell Barack Obama can expect us to believe he didn’t know the truth when he spoke in front of the United Nations but that didn’t stop him from lying in an attempt to appease the Muslim world by throwing an American under the bus.
Barack Obama’s policy of appeasement makes him the Neville Chamberlain of our time, only worse. At least Neville Chamberlain broke promises to the people of other countries in his attempt to appease Adolf Hitler, he didn’t throw his own people under the bus.
Meanwhile we have an American citizen rotting in jail because of the Libya attack and without bail or charges, apparently the first victim of the recently passed NDAA.
The Obama regime pulled security forces out of Libya even as Chris Stevens was asking for increased security before the September 11th attack
Last week Darrell Issa and Jason Chaffetz sent a letter to Hillary Clinton asking her why repeated requests for increased security in the region prior to September 11th were ignored.
That letter included a list of 13 incidents or attacks which should have provided the Obama regime with enough of a notice that the warnings they received–coupled with the increased security requests from Chris Stevens–before the fatal attacks on September 11th were a legitimate concern.
Yet the Obama regime did nothing in light of all the intelligence to do anything to protect Chris Stevens and now he is dead. Beaten to death after being sodomized. Perhaps if Barack Obama had attended any of his security briefings in the days leading up to September 11th instead of spending all his time campaigning Chris Stevens would be alive, we don’t know. But we do know that for whatever reason the intelligence reports and Chris Stevens’ requests for more security were ignored.
As the Obama regime appears ready to hold an American citizen accountable for the attack on the consulate in Libya for producing a You Tube video they have falsely claimed is responsible for the attack the news gets worse for the Obama regime.
