Gunrunner: Eric Holder claims that emails about Fast and Furious weren’t actually about Fast and Furious
Earlier today Eric Holder once again testified under oath in front of the House Judiciary Committee and once again the beleaguered Attorney General adjusted his story.
When news of Operation Fast and Furious first became public knowledge Eric Holder claimed this operation was conducted by a few rogue agents in the field without his knowledge, but we soon learned that Bill Newell–who was in charge of Arizona’s field division of the ATF–shared information on the deadly operation with at least three White House officials, and we also learned that emails were sent to Eric Holder’s office regarding Fast and Furious. Knowing he could no longer claim this was a rogue operation Eric Holder changed his story and stated that while his office did in fact receive these emails he hadn’t actually read any of them. But just the other day Darrell Issa informed Eric Holder that he had emails to top level officials in the Department of Injustice which discussed Fast and Furious, and these officials reported almost daily to Eric Holder.

The RNC wasted no time in trying to capitalize on Scott Walker’s victory coupled with Barack Obama’s decision to ignore his big union buddies in a new ad, here it is:
D-Day remembered: June 6th 1944

“I am quite positive that the order must be given.”
With those words the plan to liberate Europe was put into motion. On June 4th allied ships set out across the English channel to begin the much waited for offensive scheduled to begin on June 5th. Torrential downpours forced the delay of the mission but the ships could not be turned around unless the invasion was rescheduled. Running the risk of being spotted by the Germans, the ships were to sit there and wait for another opportunity.
June 5th, the allied commanders met to discuss the weather and the future of the invasion while troops were floating in the channel with no place to go and nothing to do but wait for the decision whether the order was a go or whether the invasion would be postponed. The seas were rough and the waves were high, crashing down over the landing crafts, many soldiers were sick and all of them were tired. Physically tired, and mentally tired. They were also tired of waiting, if there was to be an invasion they wanted to get it over with. To the troops waiting was worse than fighting.
The weather reports looked bad and most likely another postponement would be necessary but Dwight D. Eisenhower was waiting for the final weather report of the day before making his decision. A postponement now would mean calling off the plans altogether at this point and beginning again at a much later date. With the final weather report came some good news, it looked like there might be a break in the weather at just the right time and just long enough to begin the invasion.
Scott Walker has won the recall election and this is great news for the future direction of this nation. I have written a series of posts, of which this is the conclusion, in which I stated exactly how important I felt the recall election in Wisconsin really is. It has been my belief that as goes Wisconsin, so goes the nation and the theory is quite simple: This nation faces a fiscal crisis which must be dealt with in the very near future or the total economic system will collapse under the weight of excessive government spending. Tough decisions must be made, but the problem is that too many politicians on both sides of the aisle put their reelections ahead of the future of the country and are not willing to do what is needed to stave off the impending doom for fear of repercussions at the ballot box.
Scott Walker was one man who stepped up to the plate and actually made tough choices regardless of what it meant for his political future, and his changes made a difference:
Walker has helped to turn a $3.6 billion budget deficit into a $154 million surplus. Over 35,000 new jobs have been added since Walker’s reforms. Property taxes were decreased for he first time in 12 years and the state has saved more than a billion dollars in spending.
But for all of his successes he faced exactly what most politicians fear the most–the ire of a certain sect of the voters who decided that he needed to be removed from office for making choices which they did not agree with and it didn’t matter if he was the duly elected head of the state, they refused to accept the will of the people.
As I wrote about in this post, Darrell Issa has sent a letter to Eric Holder in which he stated he has proof that top level Department of Injustice officials knew about Fast and Furious and in fact authorized wiretaps on behalf of Eric Holder. This letter stated emphatically that Eric Holder gave false testimony in front of the Congress and demanded that Eric Holder hold people accountable. While we have heard Darrell Issa threaten Eric Holder with contempt in the past only to back down when Eric Holder declined to meet his demands this letter had an air about it that was different. It appeared to me as if this was a formality and if Eric Holder still remained indignant that contempt charges would soon follow.
And this might just be the case because it appears as if Eric Holder is finally getting a little bit nervous; maybe he feels the walls closing in around him because it is now being reported that he is looking to strike a deal with the Congress.
We are hopeful that these ongoing conversations will lead to a mutually acceptable resolution of these issues and continue to provide the kinds of information that would answer your questions,” Cole wrote. “While our staffs continue to discuss these issues, I want to reiterate that I remain available to meet with you personally
Eric Holder is feeling the heat and he knows Darrell Issa is close to finding him deeply involved in this deadly scandal, so he is suddenly willing to work with the Congress–so he says–but in my opinion the time for talk is over. Eric Holder had plenty of chances to come clean and he had plenty of chances to hold people accountable, but instead he decided to protect and shield the people in his Injustice Department because he felt is would reflect poorly on himself.
At this point Darrell Issa should tell Eric Holder that it is too late to come clean now…..tell it to the judge.
UPDATE: John Boehner is denying he is in negotiations with Eric Holder, basically claiming the mainstream media ran with a false story in an attempt to make Eric Holder look a little better:

Earlier today Darrell Issa sent Eric Holder yet another letter and if you are like me your first thought was here we go again: Darrell Issa sends Eric Holder a letter demanding Eric Holder comply with the subpoena or else, Eric Holder will deny or ignore the request, and Darrell Issa will back down and send him another comply or else letter in the near future. We have seen this exact scenario play out several times, but that is not what this letter was about and it does offer us some hope that the Oversight Committee will take action sometime in the near future.
Darrell Issa has obtained new documents which he claims show proof that, contrary to Eric Holder’s claim that Fast and Furious was an operation carried out by rogue agents in the field, top Injustice officials did in fact know about the deadly operation.
“The Committee has obtained copies of six wiretap applications in support of seven wire intercepts utilized during Fast and Furious,” Issa said in a Tuesday letter to Holder.
Issa said those wiretap documents “show that immense detail about questionable investigative tactics was available to the senior officials who reviewed and authorized them.”

When the Tea Party led House and the Democrat controlled Senate passed the FAA Reauthorization Act it included a provision to fund 30,ooo drones which would begin flying over the United States by the year 2020. These drones would be operated by Homeland Security and the Department of Energy (why does the Energy Department need any type of surveillance, nevermind drones?) as well as other government agencies.
The thought of a perpetual police surveillance state is frightening on it own accord, but it wasn’t long before the news got worse as some people began openly talking about arming some of these drones with rubber bullets and tear gas, how much longer before live ammunition is being used in these drones?

Video: Barack Obama’s failed electric car initiative
When Barack Obama invested $2.4 billion in the electric car industry he promised it would help to put a projected 1 million electric cars on the road by the year 2015. As we can see in the following video, which I found at The Right Scoop, the projections have fallen well short of the goal and out of the 11 models included in this projection 6 models have either not delivered a single vehicle or have already gone out of business.
It is clear to me that the Obama regime purposely inflated the projections in an effort to justify the investment and while these projections were never realistic in the fist place the actual output from these companies falls well short of what could be even be considered a step in the right direction. If the projections were even just a little bit close to reality the Obama regime might be able to claim that while progress was slower than hoped for it was still being made and he could try to justify the program that way, but at this point it looks like this investment was an abject failure.
So what is Barack Obama’s solution? More of the same failed policies–he wants to spend an additional $4.7 billion of taxpayer money on this debacle because he is simply to arrogant to admit his policy is a failure.
Elizabeth Warren wins 96% of the vote at the Massachusetts Democratic Convention and avoids a primary contest
When Elizabeth Warren announced her bid to become Massachusetts’ first Native-American senator the Massachusetts Democrat party tried clear the field for the high cheekboned candidate but one woman refused to go along with the scheme and remained in the race.
In order for her one remaining opponent to get on the ballot in the primary Marisa DeFranco needed to garner 15% of the delegates at today’s Democratic convention but the fix was in and she stood no chance in the end. Elizabeth Warren won 96% of the vote, and Marisa DeFranco was scalped and sent packing. The Democrat establishment rallied around Barack Obama’s handpicked candidate when the man who might just be the next nominee to the Supreme Court if Barack Obama wins reelection–Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick–broke precedent and endorsed Elizabeth Warren before the convention. The Department of Injustice orders Florida to stop purging ineligible voters from its voting rolls
As Attorney General of the United States Eric Holder is the highest law enforcement agent in the country and it is his duty to uphold the laws of the nation, yet earlier this week he appeared in front of a council of African American church leaders and tried to whip them into a frenzy by falsely claiming that their “sacred right” to vote is under attack all across the nation as states try to implement voter ID laws. Asking people to prove they are who they claim they are before they are allowed to vote seems more than reasonable but the Attorney General has decided that instead of ensuring the sanctity of the vote he would turn it into an us versus them political issue in an attempt to further divide Americans according to race. Hardly becoming of a sitting Attorney General to say the least.
But Eric Holder and the Department of Injustice didn’t stop there: Florida is in the midst of purging its voter roll to remove people who are ineligible to vote in the state. Some of the voters in question are felons, some are dead, some are non-citizens, and some are illegal aliens. Earlier today the Department of Injustice sent the state of Florida a letter demanding the state stop purging the voter rolls of ineligible voters.
