New Libyan government to implement Sharia law, is this part of Barack Obama’s plan?
Moammar Gaddafi was a terrorist, a cold-blooded killer, and a ruthless dictator who had no problem committing atrocities on his own people, so when he was pulled alive from a hole in the ground and executed in cold blood it was hard to feel sorry for him as he pled for his life and for a mercy he never showed to his own people.
It is not surprising that the rebels who captured Gaddafi acted in a manner that is opposite of the accepted rules of engagement and I understand why they did it, but this does lead to a bigger questions because these same rebels are now the people who are in charge of Libya. The rebels have been acknowledged by Hillary Clinton and the Obama regime as the legitimate government of Libya and as such this act of assassination should be a concern to anyone paying attention because we can see that considering they are the legitimate government of a nation they seem to have a total disregard for the law. Where will their lawlessness stop?
Gunrunner: ATF supervisor told gun shop to “stock up” before Operation Fast and Furious
According to this article: Back in 2009 the supervisor of the Phoenix division of the ATF, Hope MacAllister walked into the Lone Wolf Trading Company and had a little bit of interesting information for the owner, Andre Howard:
The amount of weapons you sell is about to dramatically increase.” Howard, the sources say, was cautioned that “he might not have enough stock” to supply the straw buyers that MacAllister somehow knew were on the way and that “he should stock up on what they wanted.”
MacAllister seemed to know “exactly how many weapons (the straw buyers) wanted, how much cash they had and when they would be coming in,” said one of the sources
Less than one week later Operation Fast and Furious was well under way and guns were being sold to criminals which eventually culminated in the deaths of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and ICE Agent Jaime Zapata.

since we now know that much, if not all, of the “buy money” was coming from an FBI paid confidential informant, it could simply be that the ATF was being used as part of a deliberate plot to “let the guns walk” in order, as the early ATF whistleblowers related to us back in early January, “to boost the statistics” of American civilian market firearms found at Mexican crime scenes.
Last week on “Face the Nation” Obama defender and member of the Government Oversight Committee Elijah Cummings called Darrell Issa’s investigation a witch hunt; he stated that this operation started at the bottom and worked its way to the top, and that Darrell Issa knows this and is continuing to dig anyway, but I would question the truthfulness of Mr. Cummings claim that Fast and Furious was a bottom up operation based on the fact that there was an FBI informant in Mexico who was providing the money to purchase the weapons under the Fast and Furious operation.
Does Elijah Cummings really believe that an operation was hatched at lower levels in he federal government where guns would be allowed to illegally slip into another sovereign nation while the FBI would dispatch an informant into that sovereign nation and nobody in the higher levels of the government had to give approval to this type of international intrigue beforehand–or does he simply believe we are stupid enough to believe this? We must remember that this involved two nations, not just the United States, and it is illogical to even consider the notion that this was a bottom up operation implemented without the prior knowledge of people high up in the Obama regime.
Solargate: Barack Obama gave $500 million in stimulus money to an electric car company in Finland
The Obama regime is now embroiled in several scandals which all revolve around using the stimulus money in an attempt to push his green initiative agenda and it looks as if we can add yet another scandal to the list.
Barack Obama approved a stimulus loan of over $500 million to a company called Fisker so that this company could produce electric cars. However, the company could not find a plant capable of producing the cars in the United States, so it moved its operation to Finland. This $500 million loan created a mere 500 jobs, and even while that number is woefully low it is even worse when you consider the fact that none of these 500 jobs went to a single American.
Here is what Henrik Fisker said about the decision to move the factory overseas:
We’re not in the business of failing; we’re in the business of winning. So we make the right decision for the business,” Fisker said. “That’s why we went to Finland
You would like to think that before the Obama regime decided to give Fisker a loan that the government would have studied the company to ensure that this money would not be wasted. If this is the case than surely he Obama regime must have known that United States factories were incapable of producing these cars, and they must have known that Fisker had designs on moving the operation overseas. If that is the case than what possible reason could the Obama regime have for spending money on a company based overseas when the stimulus money was supposedly to be used to stimulate the American economy?
By an amazing coincidence Al Gore just happens to be a partner in a venture capital firm which was backing Fisker. Imagine that! The president of the United States had a choice to make; either give $500 million to a company Al Gore had a stake in, or save the money to protect American taxpayers, and Barack Obama chose to help out a high roller in the Democrat party over the taxpayers of the United States.
Barack Obama still claims that giving Solyndra $500 million was justified because 1,000 people would have lost their jobs immediately if the government did not give the company the loan–so in essence Obama gave half a billion dollars to a company so that 1,000 people could keep their jobs for a few months. Even if we can somehow judge that as a measure of success Barack Obama can’t even use that lame excuse in this case because all of the jobs created with this loan were in Finland. How can the Obama regime possibly justify this abuse of taxpayer money?
The TSA to start patrolling highways in Tennessee
I have great news for anyone who might actually enjoy being groped by overzealous TSA agents at the airports, the gropings may soon be coming to a highway near you!
Tennessee has announced that under the Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response program the state will be asking truck drivers to report any American citizen who they feel is engaged in suspicious behavior and the TSA will be charged with investigating these complaints. This is a program that is being implemented by the TSA in an apparent attempt to spy on American citizens. Read more…
Earlier today Harry Reid admitted that he–and the Democrats–were more concerned with creating or saving government jobs than they were about creating or saving public sector jobs when he declared on the Senate floor that “private-sector jobs have been doing just fine.”
Hereis what Harry Reid said:
It’s very clear that private-sector jobs have been doing just fine; it’s the public-sector jobs where we’ve lost huge numbers, and that’s what this legislation is all about
It has long been the contention of many of us that the stimulus bill was nothing but a giant slush fund which paid out billions of dollars to Democrat special interest groups such as the unions while doing nothing to help the working class people who are struggling to make ends meet. The stimulus bill did nothing to stimulate the economy and it was never designed to; it was designed to line the coffers of those who donated to Barack Obama’s campaign and create more government jobs while manufacturing jobs continued to travel overseas.
And now Barack Obama has proposed a second, smaller stimulus bill which is nothing but more of the same failed policies in an attempt to ensure that the special interest groups which got Barack Obama elected in the first place are ready to vote for him in 2012.
The American people have rejected Barack Obama’s economic policies and the Republicans have rejected Barack Obama’s economic policies and the Democrats are growing frustrated because they cannot get the support needed to pass this new stimulus bill. In his frustration Harry Reid let the truth slip out and proved to all Americans what many of us knew was the truth all along; Harry Reid and the Democrats do not give a damn about the private-sector and are only interested in growing the government.
For Harry Reid to claim that the private-sector is doing just fine in light of the economic struggles most American are feeling just goes to show us how out of touch and uncaring the Democrats really are when it comes to the plight of the ordinary American citizen And the Democrats are supposed to represent average Americans? I think not!
Rick Perry to propose a flat tax
To put is as nicely as I can possibly put it, since Rick Perry has entered the race I have been less than impressed with him as a candidate. I wanted to like him, and I tried to like him because I wanted a viable option to Mitt Romney, but the more I learned about him the more I was forced to turn my attention to the lesser known candidates such as Herman Cain and Rick Santorum.
During last week’s debate Rick Perry promised to release his economic plan within three days, but as of yet that plan is still forthcoming–with the exception of his energy policy with which I agree–and last night be promised that his plan would be made public within a week or so. I took this with a grain of salt because we have heard him promise to release his plan before and he has not, but today we are beginning to hear a little bit of what might be included in that plan.
Rick Perry is floating the idea of a flat tax, and I have to say that this is an idea that I agree with whole heartedly. You may have heard about Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan, and while I like Herman Cain, this plan is simply something that I have a hard time supporting because, unlike the fair tax, this would implement a national sales tax without completely repealing the income tax and in my opinion this is a recipe for disaster.

Barack Obama has more than hinted that he supports the Occupy Wall Street protesters and tonight, in a scheduled pre-recorded interview on ABC, he will make it known that he supports the Occupy Wall Street protesters.
The most important thing we can do right now is those of us in leadership letting people know that we understand their struggles and we are on their side, and that we want to set up a system in which hard work, responsibility, doing what you’re supposed to do, is rewarded,” Obama tells ABC News. “And that people who are irresponsible, who are reckless, who don’t feel a sense of obligation to their communities and their companies and their workers that those folks aren’t rewarded
Many of us have contended since Barack Obama became a serious contender for the presidency as far back as 2007 that he was at best a socialist and at worst a Marxist, so I feel it to be appropriate at this time to take a quick look at some of the people that Barack Obama is supporting within the Occupy Wall Street movement.

I am taking a bit of a break from politics tonight because, honestly, I simply do not have the fight in me tonight. It happens from time to time and I promise to be back at it tomorrow.
As some of my regular readers here may know, my son Andy is a guitarist and he plays in a band called The Noise. Andy and the singer of The Noise, Dan, have scored a regular acoustic gig at Rick’s on Mill Pond every Saturday night from 6-10. They play some of today’s greatest rock hits as well as some classic rock with a few originals sprinkled in and I thought that I would share with my readers a couple of videos from last Saturday’s show.

Occupy Wall Street protesters sing “Fuck the USA”
What do the American Nazi Party, the Communist Party USA, Nancy Pelosi, and Barack Obama all have in common? They have all endorsed the Occupy “fill in the blank” movement. Barack Obama sends United States combat troops into Africa
In what might be the most under-reported story since the Obama regime began it was announced late on Friday afternoon that Barack Obama has committed 100 United States combat troops to participate in Uganda’s civil war. In compliance of the War Powers Act Barack Obama sent a letter to the Congress two days after committing the troops to inform the Congress of his decision. (After most of the Congress had already left.)
“I have authorized a small number of combat equipped U.S. forces to deploy to central Africa to provide assistance to regional forces that are working toward the removal of Joseph Kony from the battlefield
These forces will act as advisors to partner forces that have the goal of removing from the battlefield Joseph Kony and other senior leadership of the LRA,” said Obama. “Our forces will provide information, advice, and assistance to select partner nation forces. Subject to the approval of each respective host nation, elements of these U.S. forces will deploy into Uganda, South Sudan, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.”
“On October 12, the initial team of U.S. military personnel with appropriate combat equipment deployed to Uganda
He also informed the Congress that this was just the first phase of the operation and more combat troops would follow in the next month:
During the next month, additional forces will deploy, including a second combat-equipped team and associated headquarters, communications, and logistics personnel
