Cooling Trend is Proof that Global Warming Exists
This is just infuriating as I am now about to enter my fifth day with no electricity because of a fucking ICE STORM!
While skeptics are already using it as evidence of some kind of cooling trend, it actually illustrates how fast the world is warming.
I am sitting here dirty, disgusting, and unshaven, in other words just like Michael Moore, because an ice storm has taken out my heat, water, and electricity. After compare electricity suppliers in spite, I finally get online I have to read that the reason my house is at 38 degrees and my PIPES MAY FREEZE is because of global warming and I am not supposed to blow a gasket.
How the hell can these people look in the mirror and not feel embarrassed at the hoax that they are perpetrating on the American people?

Clinton as Secretary of State Could Face Court Challenge
As I have written about here, Hillary Clinton is ineligible to become Secretary of state under the constitution according to Article 1, Section 6.
There is a chance that this matter could face litigation to prevent the thwarting of the constitution by the Obama administration, who many of us feel has a lackluster feeling toward the constitution in the first place, and his nomination of the ineligible Hillary Clinton.
A conservative watchdog group is considering litigation to prevent Hillary Clinton from becoming the next Secretary of State, saying Congress’ action Wednesday to clear a legal hurdle for her nomination runs counter to the Constitution.
Judicial Watch says that Clinton is ineligible to serve as Secretary of State because the Constitution prohibits members of Congress from being appointed to an office that saw a pay increase during their time in office. In January 2008, President Bush signed an executive boosting Cabinet secretaries’ pay to $191,300.
Both the house and senate voted to reduce Hillary’s salary back to the pre-raise level. The issue here is the pay raise that the position received during Hillary Clinton’s brief stint as a New York senator. This clause in the constitution was design to stop cronyism in government and because the position of secretary of state received a raise while Hillary was a senator she is ineligible to serve as secretary of state.
The vote to return the salary to the level it was at before Hillary became senator is not without precedent, this “work-around” was used by Presidents Nixon, Carter, and Clinton. The reduction of salary does not change the unconstitutionality of the appointment, the constitution is clear. This measure does not make the appointment constitutional it just sidesteps around the constitution.
This challenge will probably go nowhere as a precedent has already been set, but that doesn’t make it right. Or constitutional.
New York to Consider Obesity Tax
Tomorrow will be day number five without power if it doesn’t come on before then. I find myself at my Mother’s house with an opportunity to blog for the first time since losing power in the New Hampshire ice storm. It feels good to get back into it, even if it is just for a short while.
On to my first subject:
New York has a cash flow problem. New York’s governor has a unique way to raise more money for the state. All of his ideas include raising taxes, what a shock. Here are some of the taxes that he proposes to increase:
increased taxes on hospitals and insurance policies
requiring new license plates to raise cash
reviving sales tax on clothing purchases
removing the tax cap on gasoline
require Indian retailers to collect taxes on sales to non-Indians
But none of those increases is what I was referring to when I wrote that he had a unique way to raise money. What I was referring to was the following:
a so-called obesity tax on non-diet soda to raise $404 million
That’s right, Governor Paterson has identified a potential new market for taxation, those that refuse to obey politically correct dietary recommendations. He has decided that what you put into your body should be taxed because you are not following a healthy diet. He knows what is best for you and because of this he will punish you through taxes. You are weak, it’s not your fault. He is only doing it for your own good. You don’t realize it now but someday you will be thankful.
Isn’t that what these nanny state politicians always say? Anything for an excuse to raise taxes.
Governor Lynch Shows a Lack of Leadership (Again)

Governor Lynch likes to believe that he is a leader. He claims that this leadership quality makes him a bipartisan governor.
New Hampshire legislators are set to get a nice little pay raise next year,however because of Governor Lynch’s irresponsible budget New Hamshire is broke. He has asked the legislators to vote to hold off their pay raises.They have refused to do so and as of the first they will get their raises while many New Hampshire families struggle in this economy.
Governor Lynch tried to be a leader,he really did. He failed.Again. He can’t even lead is own party.He can’t lead anything.
No Power
Well, we were hit with a pretty good ice storm here and we have no electricity. It sounds like it may be out for a while. I have several posts to get to but it may be a couple of days.

650 Scientists to Dissent on Man-Made Global Warming Claims
The UN is currently holding a global warming conference in Poland. During this conference the UN claimed that man-made global warming is proved without a shadow of a doubt. There is only one problem though, there are 650 scientists who are ready to testify that the global warming alarmists are full of shit. 650 strong and growing.

My favorite quote is the second one, this one:

The reason that quote is my favorite is simple. It confirms something that I have written about in the past about this hoax, and it is an angle that is not discussed and mentioned enough.
The scientist claims that now that he is not receiving funding he feels safe to speak the truth.I have written before about scientists who just tow the global warming line because they are afraid to lose their funding, their grant money, and now we have this man confirming that to be a possibility to dissenters who rely on the federal funds.
Man-made global warming is a political issue and the global warming Jesus is Al Gore.A politician. Global warming is nothing but a conspiracy to separate you from your money and the threat of scientists being separated from their money keeps them in line as Al Gore’s apostles.
Man-made global warming is the biggest hoax ever perpetuated on the American people and the people of the world. We need to stop this before it is too late. Once we become subjugated to the global warming gods there is no turning back. We will all be forced to worship at the global warming alter.
Investigation Into Charlie Rangel is Expanded
Charlie Rangel, Democrat, who is chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee has been under investigation by a house ethics committee for tax fraud. As chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee he is responsible for writing the tax laws that you and I have to adhere to. Evidently he doesn’t have to as he “forgot” to claim rental income in the total of $75,000. It seems even he doesn’t understand the tax laws that he writes.
But now the investigation has been expanded due to further, shall we say, indiscretions. It seems as though when you write the tax laws that you may also know where the loopholes in the laws are. For a small fee you may be able to help others avoid paying taxes. That is what Charlie Rangel is now being investigated for.
The House ethics committee has voted to expand its investigation of Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.) to include allegations that he helped a $1 million donor to the Charles B. Rangel Center at the City College of New York retain a lucrative tax loophole.
Membership has it’s priveleges is how the old saying goes and the more that the ethics committee digs into Charlie Rangel the more that old saying is confirmed.
I have said it before and I will say it again, it is time for Charlie Rangel to resign. If he refuses to resign it is up to Nancy Pelosi to strip him of his chairmanship.
Illinois Governor Arrested on Corruption Charges for Trying to sell Obama’s Senate Seat
By now it is no secret that Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been arrested on corruption charges.
Before I get started on this post I wanted to mention something that just bothers the living shit out of me. I have read several stories about this issue before posting this and the part that bothers me the most about the reporting of this story is that maybe one of these stories bothers to mention which party Rod Blagojevich belongs to. Contrast that to this story that broke on the same day about a congressman who had to spend five days in jail for drunk driving. Not only did the headline mention what party he belonged to, but the second paragraph reaffirmed that he was a Republican.
This happens over and over again. When you read a story about political corruption and at the end of the story you don’t know what party the person belonged to rest assured that it is a Democrat.
Anyway, now that I have that off my chest.
One of the many charges against the DEMOCRAT governor is the fact that he was basically selling president-elect Obama’s senate seat to the highest bidder. In other words, he was saying to the interested candidates for the seat, “what’s in it for me?”
Barack Obama claims that he had no contact with the Illinois governor about filling his senate seat.
I had no contact with the governor or his office and so I was not aware of what was happening, ” Obama told reporters today in Chicago. “It’s a sad day for Illinois. Beyond that, I don’t think it’s appropriate to comment
But that may not be entirely trus, as his senior advisor David Axelrod said previously that Barack Obama was in contact with the governor about who should fill his vacated seat.
I know he’s talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them
Since the corruption and arrest story broke David Axelrod has backed off of his claim that Obama spoke directly to Governor Rod Blagojevich about Obama’s vacant seat.
was mistaken when I told an interviewer last month that the President-elect has spoken directly to Governor Blagojevich about the Senate vacancy. They did not then or at any time discuss the subject
Somebody is not telling the truth here. Did Barack Obama have contact with the governor about his vacant seat or didn’t he? That is the question. I think you know what conclusion I have come to.
Of course he had input into who would take his seat, but now that the scandal broke he is naturally trying to distance himself from it. Chicago is notorious for having one of the most corrupt governments in the country and Obama has been brought up politically in this climate so is it too much to assume that he knew what was going on? I don’t think so.
Obama/Rezko Land Deal Papers Subpoenaed
It is no secret that president-elect Barack Obama has some shady people that he calls associates. During the campaign people who wrote about these associates were accused of using his associates as diversions from the real issues facing the country. We were accused of using the politics of personal destruction and told that we should stick to the issues.
People who wrote about Obama’s associations were told that the people that Obama chose to hang around with in the past do not matter. Well, at least one of the people that Barack Obama hung around with DOES matter.
Tony Rezco, the convicted felon, is one of Obama’s associations. And now papers about a sweetheart land deal that Rezco and Obama engaged in have been subpoenaed.
the senator may have gotten a deal on his property purchase, noting that Mrs. Rezko paid the full asking price for her property on an adjacent lot. Both of which were sold by a single seller. Mr. Obama bought his house for $1.65 million – $300,000 below the asking price.
It seems as though the books were cooked on this deal and that there may have been two appraisals of the same property that Obama purchased. One of the appraisals just seems to have disappeared.

It said that in January 2006, Mrs. Rezko and Mr. Obama, along with his wife Michelle, signed an agreement to sell a 10-foot strip of the property to the Obamas. At that point, according to the complaint, Mr. Connor’s firm asked him to conduct the reappraisal.
While the complaint doesn’t implicate Obama, one has to wonder about this:
As a state senator, Mr. Obama wrote letters endorsing government support of a Rezko housing project for senior citizens. Obama aides say he was simply supporting a project that would help residents of his district, not doing a favor for a friend.
He received land at a discounted rate from Tony Rezko, he then writes letters endorsing the government support of a housing project that Rezko was involved in. We are supposed to believe that this was not a case of Obama taking care of a friend who just happened to give him a deal on some property.
We are supposed to believe that Obama’s associations don’t matter but this story shows us why they DO matter. Are we still supposed to let this story go because it isn’t important? I think not.
