Michael Moore Endorses Barack Obama

April 21, 2008

In a letter posted on his website Michael Moore has endorsed Barack Obama. He claims he is tired of Mrs. Clinton’s personal attacks on Barack Obama.

but over the past two months, the actions and words of Hillary Clinton have gone from being merely disappointing to downright disgusting.

I find it interesting that Michael Moore of all people would think that there is any line that cannot be crossed. He has made a career out of exploiting tragedy and propagandizing American policy for personal gain. Why all of a sudden now should the left have principles? Because it is two Democrats who are fighting? If Hillary used these same attacks on a Republican there would be no complaint from this man.

That is all the time I care to waste on this story, you can read the rest of his endorsement here.

John McCain Refuses to Release his Wife’s Tax Records

April 20, 2008

In a move that seems quite a bit John Kerry-esque, John McCain has refused to release his wife’s tax records. This is a man who claims he wants to bring “transparency” back to Washington.

John McCain on Friday faced accusations of hypocrisy for failing to disclose his wife’s tax records, despite his promise to bring greater transparency and accountability to government.

Transparency and accountability indeed, but only when it applies to other people it seems. McCain has released his own tax records, he files separately from his wife, but refuses to release his wife’s to protect the privacy of their children. This excuse doesn’t fly when it comes to Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington who said:

“McCain has been the most outspoken about ethics so he is held to a particularly high standard of transparency,”

If John McCain wants to put his money, pardon the pun, where his mouth is then it is time for him to do what John Kerry finally did, and what Hillary Clinton finally did and release the tax records. This whole do as I say not as I do attitude makes John McCain come off as a lecturing parent figure and not a leader of the free world.

In a move years ago that was also John Kerry-esque John McCain left his wife for a rich heiress and joined the senate. The parallels are striking. Not releasing his wife’s tax records shows us an elitist attitude, the same elitist attitude he is trying to pin on Obama and Clinton. The same elitist attitude of John Kerry. But their records have been made public, when will yours be Senator McCain?

Yale Student’s Abortion Performing Arts Project a Hoax? Does it Matter?

April 19, 2008

When I first heard the story of the Yale student who was artificially inseminating herself and then aborting the babies for her senior art project I was mortified. As I think any clear thinking, normal individual would be. Now Yale has called the project a hoax. However after reading several articles about this student and of the school’s “apology” I thought the story still deserved to be written about because there is a mentality here that is scary. This is what another art major had to say about the project when he thought it was real. And by the way, the student still insists it is real:

Art major Juan Castillo ’08 said that although he was intrigued by the creativity and beauty of her senior project, not everyone was as thrilled as he was by the concept and the means by which she attained the result.

“I really loved the idea of this project, but a lot other people didn’t,”

He was intrigued by the beauty of the project. Wow! I will describe some of that beauty a little latter on. Is this the type of mindset that is infiltrating American society? Has the value of life reached such a low point in culture that this type of “project is acceptable? Remember, Juan thought the project was real at the time that he made those statements and observations.

Yale didn’t really apologise for this either, claiming that is wasn’t real but called it performing arts.

“The entire project is an art piece, a creative fiction designed to draw attention to the ambiguity surrounding form and function of a woman’s body,” said Yale spokeswoman Helaine Klasky.

So the question remains, did one of the nation’s leading institutions condone this activity? And are they just now trying to cover their asses? According to Shvarts, that is the case.

Shvarts stood by her project and claimed that administrators had backed her before the planned exhibition attracted national condemnation

I’m not going to absolve them by saying it was some sort of hoax when it wasn’t, she said. I started out with the University on board with what I was doing, and because of the media frenzy they’ve been trying to dissociate with me. Ultimately I want to get back to a point where they renew their support because ultimately this was something they supported.

She said if Yale puts out a statement saying she did not do this, she would say Yale was doing that to protect its reputation,” Klasky said.

So Yale may have known about, and approved of her project. This is what still bothers me about this story, the mindset of the school and the students. Because now that the school has apparently dissassociated itself from Shvarts other students are upset with the school because they feel that this is a first amendment issue. They believe free speech is being repressed because, well I can’t even figure out how they can possibly come to that conclusion. It is just how far left some of these universities and students have turned. So left in fact, that Shvarts’ intent was to show that there is no difference between an abortion and normal menstruation.

“The most poignant aspect of this representation—the part most meaningful in terms of its political agenda (and, incidentally, the aspect that has not been discussed thus far)—is the impossibility of accurately identifying the resulting blood,” she said.

Remember that while this is being called a hoax, Shvarts did in fact inseminate herself and take the drugs to induce an abortion, so in that regard this project is not a hoax. The intent was there, and she may have infact aborted a baby. We just don’t know because she never took a test.

Beacuse she has admitted that she never took a pregnancy test so she can’t say with certainty that she was ever pregnant she makes the point that blood is blood and it is indistinguishable. So who has the right to say which blood was life and which never was? This is sick. Now it is up to the individual to determine what is life and what isn’t? Life is in the eyes of the beholder?

When did we get to this point in this country? In a country where is is acceptable to induce labor and birth a baby up to it’s neck and then suck it’s brains out as it’s little arms and legs quiver during it’s last moments of LIFE I suupose I shouldn’t be shocked by this. It is just the next logical step.

This is so far left that even NARAL found this wrong, now that is saying something!

Ted Miller, a spokesman for NARAL Pro-Choice America, called the concept offensive and “not a constructive addition to the debate over reproductive rights.”

Now let’s look at the presentation of the project so we can see what Juan above, and others I am sure, thought was so beautiful.

The display of Schvarts’ project will feature a large cube suspended from the ceiling of a room in the gallery of Green Hall. Schvarts will wrap hundreds of feet of plastic sheeting around this cube; lined between layers of the sheeting will be the blood from Schvarts’ self-induced miscarriages mixed with Vaseline in order to prevent the blood from drying and to extend the blood throughout the plastic sheeting.

Schvarts will then project recorded videos onto the four sides of the cube. These videos, captured on a VHS camcorder, will show her experiencing miscarriages in her bathrooom tub, she said. Similar videos will be projected onto the walls of the room.

Shvarts, sometimes naked, sometimes clothed, alone in a shower stall bleeding into a cup

 Sounds lovely, doesn’t it?

I know I have been all over the place in this post, but I just can’t wrap my arms around this story. I can’t for the life of me understand how anything like this could be considered acceptable by anyone. Hell, I can’t even understand how anyone could even think something like this up.

That is why I think that this story deserves to be written about whether it was a hoax or not. Hoax is the wrong word, she carried out the acts of insemination and abortion inducement, we just don’t know if she was pregnant. It shows us how far people are willing to go to push an agenda. It shows us the mindset ot the far left. It shows us the mindset that is acceptable in our most prestigious higher learning institutions. These are supposed to be the smartest students among us and this is how they think. These students are our future. I fear for the future of our country.

And that is why I had to write about this.

New Hampshire Votes to Table Bush Impeachment Resolution

April 17, 2008

Here is proof that maybe, just maybe, New Hampshire hasn’t gone totally insane. As I wrote about here, there was an impeachment rally held on Monday with a vote scheduled on an impeachment resolution on Wednesday.

Yesterday the impeachment resolution was tabled by a vote of  227-95 and no vote will be taken on it. It is a good sign to see such a vast majority on this issue realize that it is nothing but a waste of time and resources. Although almost 100 people wanted it to move forward I am still going to look at the bright side.

Although there is a side of me that wishes this went forward. It would have been interesting to see exactly which New Hampshire legislators would have voted for a meaningless resolution to impeach the president and vice president.

Maybe the moonbats haven’t totally infiltrated the more clear minded Democrats, Republicans, and Independents in New Hampshire after all. The election this November could be pivotal for the future of New Hampshire. Will we return to a more fiscally responsible, less nanny state form of government? Or will we return to the less intrusive, independent minded government that New Hampshire used to pride herself on?

I like to think that this is a sign that New Hampshire isn’t as far left as I feared and maybe we are ready to turn back to the right, even if only a little.

Now we just have to do something about our tax and spend governor.

Hillary Clinton Admits Barack Obama Could Win the General Election

April 17, 2008
tags:

In last night’s debate Hillary Clinton was pressed on whether or not she thought that Barack Obama was electable. After several attempts at dodging the question she begrudgingly said that he was electable.

This is interesting because Hillary Clinton has been working behind the scenes trying to convince super delegates that Barack Obama is unelectable, and that she stands a much better chance at winning the general election that he does. Her whole campaign strategy and reason for not dropping out of the race was based on her getting a lead in the popular vote and then selling her electability angle to the super delegates.

So now she admits that she believes that Barack Obama is indeed electable. If she believes this then it is time for her to drop out of the race. She just thwarted her whole campaign strategy.

But why did she do this? What was in it for her? This was her chance to publicly say what she has been saying privately, that she thinks Obama isn’t electable. This was her chance to put that bug in the ear of the public, to sow the seeds of doubt. Yet she didn’t. Why?

In order for Hillary to realistically win the nomination, if there is any reality left in it, is to win Pennsylvania big, very big. If she doesn’t win it big, she virtually cannot overtake Obama in the popular vote, thus flushing her hopes of convincing the super delegate to vote for her.

The internal polling in Hillary’s campaign must be turning up numbers that don’t look very good to Hillary. It is possible she realizes that her campaign is just about over, So she is now in bringing-the-party-together mode. This is hard to believe though. I think she would destroy the party rather than to give up her run for what she believes is rightfully hers, the presidency.

So they question I have is, what was she offered? There has to be something in it for her. I don’t think she would accept the vice presidency, so it has to be something else. But what?

There is something going on behind the scenes of the Democrat party. Party leaders, such as Howard Dean, have already expressed confidence that the nominee would be decided sooner rather than later. That is not possible unless some kind of back room deal has been reached. I just can’t put my finger on what it could be. That is what makes me nervous. That is the only explanation that I can come up with for Hillary backtracking on Obama’s electability, the issue that she has staked her campaign on.

I don’t know what it is, but I don’t like it.

Barack Obama Criticizes Jimmy Carter for Meeting With Hamas

April 16, 2008

Cross posted at Grizzly Groundswell

I find this interesting. In an effort to prove he is strong on terror, Barack Obama criticized Jimmy Carter for meeting with Hamas. Here is what he said about Jimmy Carter’s meeting:

“That’s why I have a fundamental difference with President Carter and disagree with his decision to meet with Hamas,” Obama said. “We must not negotiate with a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction. We should only sit down with Hamas if they renounce terrorism, recognize Israel’s right to exist and abide by past agreements.”

Obama is exactly right about this. We must not negotiate without preconditions with a terrorist organization hell bent on destroying Israel. What I find interesting is the fact that Iran has the same goals as Hamas, yet Obama has no problems sitting down without conditions and talking to Ahmadinejad. Either Obama is naive or is dangerously unaware. Or he could just be sitting on both sides of the fence. He sees an opportunity to gain political points by criticizing Carter and appear tough on terror at the same time, yet he doesn’t see the similarities between Hamas and Iran. Let’s not forget Obama refused to vote to label Iran’s Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, something even Hillary was smart enough to do.

No matter what the reasoning is for his “erratic” foreign policy positions, he is proving to us that he just doesn’t have the experience to be president.

But then again, according to Obama I am just a bitter small town American who is clinging to my gun and antipathy toward people who aren’t “like” me to explain my frustrations. Ahmadinejad is not like me, but he longs to cling to something much more powerful than a gun.

Hillary Clinton, Elton John May be Investigated for Campaign Fraud

April 15, 2008

Another possible campaign finance violation by a Clinton? Say it ain’t so. You know the old saying, if you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying? It is more than a motto to the Clinton’s, it is a way of life to them.

A group now wants the recent benefit concert in which Elton John performed to be investigated for campaign finance violations. You remember the concert, it was the one where Elton John called Americans misogynistic and told Americans to go to hell. The same Elton John who crooned this about Margaret Thatcher:

So merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher
May God’s love be with you
We all sing together in one breath
Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher
We all celebrate today
‘Cause it’s one day closer to your death

Talk about misogynistic. Anyway, time to get back on topic. I just got a little carried away. It is illegal for a presidential candidate to take money from foreign nationals, this concert could violate campaign laws.

“Recent news reports suggest that Hillary Clinton and Hillary Clinton for President have accepted an in-kind contribution from a foreign national, Sir Elton John, in contravention of federal election laws,”

“On behalf of Judicial Watch and its supporters, I hereby request that the FEC investigate this matter.”

Just another misunderstanding by the Clinton campaign, at least that is what they will tell us. Or another vast right wing conspiracy.

President Bush Prepares Global Warming Initiative

April 14, 2008

I can’t even begin to describe how disappointing this is from the Bush administration. President Bush appears ready to give in to the whole global warming hoax.

President Bush is poised to change course and announce as early as this week that he wants Congress to pass a bill to combat global warming, and will lay out principles for what that should include

We know what any bill to combat global warming will include, new taxes. But what I really find scary in this article is the following:

“This is an attempt to move the administration and the party closer to the center on global warming. With these steps, it is hoped that the debate over this is over, and it is time to do something,” said an administration source

Move the party closer to the center on global warming? The debate is over? Goddamn it, this pisses me off to no end. John McCain is already on board with this whole scam and now the foundation is being laid by President Bush. AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

President Bush is a lame duck, he can’t get anything done that he wants to with a Democrat majority in the house and senate, but he wants to ensure a legacy. So he turns to an issue that the libs love, global warming. He knows that as much as they would love to oppose him on this issue it is their baby, they can’t. So he will be able to score political points on his way out of office while selling us out to the environmental, moonbat, global warming alarmist, liberals.

He is trying to appease the left but it will not work. It doesn’t matter what he does, the left will always find fault. All this will do is further alienate conservatives who are already upset that John McCain is the Republican nominee.

I have said it many, many times before but there is no stopping it now. HOLD ON TO YOUR WALLETS! With both parties poised on the same side of this issue it is time for Americans to pay the piper.

Funny how environmentalists are called green isn’t it? Because that is what it costs us, green. And now George Bush is poised to join them.

It’s over. As I said at the top of this post, I can’t even describe how disappointing this is.

Phoenix Sheriff Under Investigation for Enforcing Immigration Laws

April 14, 2008

A county sheriff in Phoenix Arizona, the state that pro-amnesty presidential candidate John McCain is from, has been enforcing immigration laws. He has been cracking down on illegal immigration. He has been rewarded for his just and noble efforts by being harassed by none other than the ACLU for alleged human rights violations. Once again the American Criminals/Communist Liberties Union sides with criminals.

That is not surprising, but there is pressure from another source also. The mayor of Phoenix wants the FBI to investigate the case also.

In an April 4 letter to U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey, Mayor Phil Gordon asked the agency and the Justice Department’s civil rights division to examine what he called discriminatory harassment and improper stops, searches, and arrests by sheriff’s deputies in Maricopa County, which encompasses the metropolitan area.

“Over the past few weeks, Sheriff Arpaio‘s actions have infringed on the civil rights of our residents,” Gordon wrote. “They have put our residents’ well-being, and the well-being of law enforcement officers, at risk.”

Infringed on the rights of their residents? No mention of the fact that the residents in question are illegal residents. Just being a resident doesn’t give you any rights if your residency is ILLEGAL.

This sheriff should be applauded for upholding the law, not investigated. This is all happening the the state that John McCain calls home. One must wonder where the illegal immigrant loving John McCain stands on this issue. John McCain must have his feet held to the fire on this issue. I consider it to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest issue in this year’s election. I believe illegal immigration is directly related to national security and on this issue John McCain fails. As do both Democrats.

People in all levels of government seem to be deaf to the will of the people on this issue. From President Bush to John McCain to Barack Obama to Hillary Clinton to Ted Kennedy the list goes on and on.

Here in New Hampshire a police officer was having no luck enforcing illegal immigration so he tried arresting the illegals on criminal tresspassing charges. Wrong, it didn’t work. This is so frustrating. On a federal level the will of the people is not being heard. And on local levels it is no better. Good people try to enforce the laws, but as this Phoenix story shows us, the people in charge are not responding. Other than to side with illegals, that is.

How has America gotten to the point where we are being governed by the ACLU? The will of the citizens is be subverted by the will of the illegals, and it is sure to mean the end of America as we know it.

New Hampshire Impeachment Rally on April 14th

April 13, 2008

Tomorrow as I write this, today as most will read it, in Concord there will be an impeachment rally in Concord. This “event” will be hosted by Betty Hall. Who is Betty Hall you may ask. She is the 300 year old rrepresentative who has introduced impeachment articles to the New Hampshire house. She was urged not to but she feels it is her duty. Why? Just read the following quote:

“My failure to vote for the New Hampshire House resolution for the Nixon impeachment is absolutely the biggest regret of my legislative career. That is why I am so dedicated to doing this now,” she said.

Please tell me what her non vote for Nixon’s impeachment has to do with this stupid impeachment resolution against President Bush. It’s not like the legislature has any more pressing needs, right? Shouldn’t the liberal lawmakers in New Hampshire be more worried about how they have spent New Hampshire into a huge deficit? New Hampshire GOP Chairman Fergus Cullen thinks so.

“Instead of wasting time on this silly impeachment resolution, Gov. John Lynch and his Democratic legislature should be focusing on the budget deficit caused by their 17.5 percent increase in state spending. Education funding continues to be a mess, and the Constitutional Amendment appears to be foundering due to Gov. Lynch’s lack of leadership. These are the real issues Gov. Lynch and the Democratic legislature ought to be focusing on, not the impeachment resolution,” Cullen said.

Fergus Cullen goes on to ask where other New Hampshire politicians stand on this ridiculouspartisan resolution. We need to know where Jeane Shaheen stands on this issue, we need to know where moonbat Governor John Lynch stands.

  • If she were a member of the US Senate, Jeanne Shaheen would vote on impeachment. Does she support the resolution? Is she planning to attend the rally on Monday or will she be conveniently out of state, like she was when she skipped voting on the pledge resolution at Madbury Town Meeting?
  • Will Gov. Lynch attend the rally? Does he support the resolution? If he doesn’t, why won’t he say so publicly?
  • Will Shea-Porter or Hodes attend? As members of Congress, they would vote on impeachment. Do they believe the president and vice-president should be impeached? Will Shea-Porter offer the protesters refreshments, like she did with war protesters in her first month in office?

A vote on the impeachment resolution is scheduled for Wednesday. That will be the day that determines how far left New Hampshire has actually turned. Betty Hall was asked to let go of this obsession by legislators who know that this is a no win situation. Now they will be forced to vote on it. They risk either losing the far left wing of the Democrat party that has wrestled control of New Hampshire, or the more moderate and independent voters who will not put up with such obvious pandering.

Wednesday could let us know exactly how far New Hampshire has fallen.
