Below is a video related to this post. A United States Veteran cut down an American flag that a Nevada business was flying below a Mexican flag illegally. I speculated in my original post that the company had hired Mexican workers and were trying to appease them. This video shows us that the owners of the business are Mexicans. The motive is still unclear, as they would not answer a specific question about why they did it.
This could be the greatest youtube video of all time.
The Military is Investigating Over 60 Phony Soldiers
As everyone knows by now, Rush Limbaugh has come under fire by Democrats on the senate floor because he called a man who falsified and embellished his military service a phony soldier. Now comes word that the military is actually investigating over sixty soldiers who have falsified their military record. In other words the military is investigating over sixty phony soldiers.
Macbeth, 23, gained the most attention of those Sullivan has prosecuted, in part because he became a hero of the anti-Iraq war movement. He claimed to have witnessed his fellow American soldiers commit atrocities in Iraq, when in fact he was never there.
Talking to a caller to his program, Rush specifically was talking about Macbeth when he used the term phony soldier. The left has spun his comments to persuade the American people that Rush was saying that any soldier that served in Iraq and opposes the war is a phony soldier.
The only reason I keep bringing this issue up is that I believe that the Democrats are trying to use this trumped up controversy to re-instate the fairness doctrine in an attempt to silence those that oppose them. This issue, to me, is larger than just Rush Limbaugh. This is a fight we must win or forever lose the freedom of conservative speech. When did words become criminal? The left will slowly but surely stamp out the voice of the opposition if we don’t STOP THIS NOW. If we don’t stop this now, we will wake up one morning without any forum to voice our opinions and we will wonder what the hell happened.
New Hampshire Tax Protesters are in Custody, Stand-off with Federal Marshals is Over Part 2
Well, after all the posts I’ve made trying to keep people up to date with the stand-off between convicted tax evaders Ed and Elaine Brown and federal marshals the end came quick and easy and was actually very anti-climatic. I thought from following this story closely that this was going to end the same way Wako, and Ruby Ridge did, however without Janet Reno involved the situation came to an end with no shots fired.
The end appears to have begun on September 12th when four supporters of the Browns who brought them supplies and weapons left the Brown’s house to go to their own houses. Before they could return to the Brown’s residence they were arrested. Since that time the Brown’s supporters seem to have slowly dwindled. Since September 12th the Browns were almost alone. Isn’t it funny the way these anti-establishment rebels abandoned the Browns when they saw the government was serious. These people who supposedly were willing to fight to the death in support of the Browns and their cause quickly ran for the hills. Be careful of the company you keep.
Federal marshals were able to walk up to the Browns dressed as supporters, knocked on the door, and when the Browns, who were alone, answered the door the federal marshals cuffed them and took them away without a fight.

New Hampshire Tax Protesters are in Custody, Stand-off with Federal Marshals is Over
Not many details have been released yet, but Ed and Elaine Brown, who were convicted in January of tax evasion, and who had been holed up in their fortified house, are now in custody. Federal marshals moved in on them last night and captured them, there are no details about what happened in the house other than the Browns did not surrender, they were captured.
“We had no indication that the Browns intended to voluntarily surrender, so we had to move forward with an operation that promised the safest possible outcome” but did not provide details. The two did not surrender, he said.
The Brown’s had a falling out recently with some of the supporters who were gathering at their house, and more recently, on September 12th police arrested four of their supporters in four states when they returned home. So it would appear that there may not have been many people in the house other than the Brown’s. There has been no word on if there were others in the house, or if there were other arrests made last night.
There is a news conference scheduled this morning. I hope to write one more post about this when more details are released about the capture.

Barack Obama Refuses to Wear a Flag Pin on his Lapel
![]()
In order to show his patriotism Barack Obama has decided to………….stop wearing a flag pin on his lapel. Yes, you read that right. He is trying to spin his lack of a flag pin as a show of patriotism. Somehow the left has been changing the definition of patriotism into meaning that opposing the president and war is patriotic. Harry Reid calling the war lost while our soldiers are fighting is patriotic. Dick Durbin calling our soldiers Nazis is patriotic. John Kerry saying our soldiers are terrorizing Iraqi woman and children is patriotic. You get the picture, now Obama refuses to display the flag on his lapel, evidentially he finds this cheesy and lame for of respect for the country.
“Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we’re talking about the Iraq war that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security.
“I decided I won’t wear that pin on my chest,” he said in the interview. “Instead, I’m going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testament to my patriotism.”
He doesn’t want to show he is patriotic, but he feels the need to show he is patriotic. This is not all that uncommon with the left. Having to defend and define your patriotism. How many times have we heard someone on the left feel compelled to say that they love the country, or that they are patriotic, that they support the troops? The fact is they know how hateful and hurtful their comments about the war, our soldiers, and the president are. They just don’t care, but they have to come out and call themselves patriotic, it makes them feel better about themselves after the slander our troops and our president.
And After all, isn’t that what liberalism is all about, feeling good? Even if you accomplish nothing.
It’s Official: 50% Increase to Tolls in New Hampshire
Today the executive council voted 4-1 to raise the road usage tax, otherwise known as the tolls. Let’s face it tolls are a polite way of saying usage taxes. What is disappointing here is that two of the yea votes were Republican, while the one dissenting vote was Democrat. However this wouldn’t matter if liberal Democrat Governor John Lynch hadn’t been so exuberant in his support of this tax increase. He has made it known how much he would love to raise the road usage tax, and today he got his wish.
John Lynch’s new two year budget, which he called fiscally responsible, raised spending by 17.5%. But it raised much more than spending, he had to raise the money, guess where that came from. Our pockets, that’s where. He raised several fees and taxes and still couldn’t pay for the roads. The truth here is that most of the toll money raised is being diverted away from road repair, where it belongs. All the governor had to do was put the toll revenues back where they belong and no toll hikes would be necessary, but the governor is only interested in taking more of our money, so reducing government waste was not an option.
And we haven’t even heard his plan for paying for education yet. By the time Governor Lynch is done, living in Massachusetts will look like a bargain.

Is this what it has come down to now? Flying the Mexican flag above the American flag as this business is doing? What is the motive for this? This article doesn’t mention why the flags are being flown improperly. If I had to guess I would say that the business in question has many Mexican workers, probably illegals, who work there and are trying to appease them. This is yet another example of America losing her culture, of Americans all to willing to help immigrants make America more like the country they left, than the country they hope to live in.
The article linked above says that the business flying the Mexican flag above the American flag is doing so illegally, I don’t believe that is the case. I don’t believe it is a crime to fly another country’s flag above the American flag, I do know however that it is improper flag etiquette to do so. The American flag should always be flown on top if on a single flagpole. If you fly the American flag and another country’s flag on separate flagpoles the American flag is supposed to still be flown higher than the other flag.
So while this company isn’t doing anything illegal, even though the article says they are, they are not conforming to the proper displaying of the flag.
I do find this to be repulsive however. Either the business knows this is wrong and is catering to the Mexicans, or they are ignorant of the proper way to display a flag. I think about the rallies we had in this country earlier this year where thousands of illegals gathered, waving Mexican flags instead of American flags, the flags of the country they supposedly want to belong to, and it makes me wonder.
America is slowly but surely losing her culture and we need to keep reminding the immigrants who come here that America is a great country, join our culture. Do not come here and expect us to join your’s. If we wanted to join your culture, we would go to your country. Please respect our laws and our culture, if you are not willing to at least do that then STAY OUT.
Well, it is just the beginning of October and I really don’t want to begin thinking about Christmas yet. However, I just saw this article about a school district in Illinois that is banning the terms Christmas and Halloween, and now I have to write about it, I can’t help myself.
southwest suburban school district has taken action, responding to the concerns of a Muslim parent.
For now, children in Ridgeland School District 122 will celebrate fall festival instead of Halloween and winter festival instead of Christmas.
One Muslim parent complained about Christmas and now they are capitulating to the parent. Once again we are protecting the rights of the minority in a situation and to hell with the rights of the majority. Don’t try to tell me that it is because of the separation of church and state ( which isn’t in the constitution) because it is not. You see this school district allows Muslim students to PRAY IN SCHOOL. That’s right, if you are a Muslim you can pray in school, if you are Christian, you can’t even say the word Christmas.
The superintendent says the reason for the change in tradition comes after one parent wanted Ramadan decorations put up inside Columbus Manor Elementary. They were taken down.
Superintendent Tom Smyth said, “I go back to our policy which says that public schools are to remain neutral in this respect.”
Meantime, Muslim children are being allowed to pray during what’s being called their own time, that’s lunch time, during Ramadan.
Parent June Quigley said, “They get to pray in our schools. That is religion in a public school.”
America is losing her culture bit by bit to political correctness. We no longer require immigrants to learn the language, we have to be understanding and caring to their culture, the culture that was so good they left it to come here. And Americans are constantly being told they cannot have public displays of their religion, or pray in public schools unless your religion is a politically correct religion such as Islam.
America is losing the battle from within, we are being torn apart by political correctness and we must wake up or face the fact that America as we currently know her is doomed. We are constantly losing the freedom of speech to political correctness, and we are losing the freedom of religion to political correctness.
We need to teach immigrants to learn and accept American culture before we lose our culture.
The clock is ticking, we need to WAKE UP AMERICA.
Why are the Democrats Really Attacking Rush Limbaugh?
The Democrats, not surprisingly, have had it in for Rush Limbaugh for years. They finally have seized an opportunity to go on the offensive and try to bring him down. The problem is that they are either ignorant of the comment he made because they didn’t actually hear it, or they are purposely misrepresenting what he said. Rush was simply talking about a person who claimed he had been in Iraq and saw the US soldiers committing torture and murder ( sort of like John Kerry did after he left Vietnam), it was later found out that this soldierwas in the army, but he was discharged 41 days into boot-camp. He never saw active duty. It was this man that Rush was calling a phony soldier. The Democrats know this and they don’t care, they are deliberately lying to the American people on the floor of the Senate. The press is all to willing to go along with it, just read the articles, not one mentions the quote in context. They just write that Limbaugh said all troops who fought in Iraq that oppose the war are phony troops. This is so far from what he said it is laughable.
The question is why are they going after Limbaugh NOW? The answer is because they are confident they will grow their majority in the house and senate, and take the white house. We all know they would like nothing better than to bring him down, but they have bigger plans than just that, once they have more control they will be able to execute their plan. They are laying the ground work right now. Word has also come out that the San Francisco Board of Supervisors has issued a condemnation of talk show host Michael Savage. They are calling his show hate speech. Then we have the Don Imus firing. There is also this little issue of the new hate crimes bill being brought up.
We have heard Democrats say recently that it is time to reinstate the fairness in radio doctrine, they are currently laying the groundwork to do just that. They are attempting to silence anyone who disagrees with them. I hate to throw this word out there too much when talking about the Democrats, people don’t like to hear it, but this is communism. Silence those that have a differing opinion then the government? That is one of the very foundations of communism, is it not? Talk radio is the only form of the media that the Democrats don’t have control over, and they don’t like it.
I am not a fan of Michael Savage, and Imus sucked anyway. Imus was one of their own, but sometimes you have to sacrifice one to get the rest. But don’t these people have a right to SAY what they want? Isn’t that one of the guarantees in the bill of rights? Isn’t freedom of the press another one? Who the hell do these people think they are that they can decide who has a voice and who doesn’t?
This is scary stuff here. The Democrats are trying to silence the last remaining media outlet that isn’t primarily liberal in an attempt to regain power and never lose it again. These communists need to be stopped before they succeed or will will lose our voice to the state forever. When did it become wrong to debate? Why is it that Rosie can say the things she has said and the Democrats will defend her right to say them, yet when a conservative says something negative it is hate speech? How are the things that Rosie said not hate speech also?
We are entering a dangerous time when one party looks not to debate the other party, but to eliminate it. Once you silence the opposition, there is no opposition.
Here is the sixth Plank of the communist manifesto:
Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the State.
Controlling communication. COMUNISM 101
My Sunday Afternoon with My Boys, the Red Sox Alumni, and the National Guard
Today I had the chance to take my two boys to a Red Sox Illumni vs the Rockingham County Law Enforcement Officers Association in a softball game for charity. We saw Bob Stanley, Oil Can Boyd, Rick Wise, and other Red Sox players that I grew up watching. Of course my boys didn’t know too much about these players, but they were excited to go to this event.
We had a great time. There was a guy on the PA system doing play by play of the game and it was fun watching the players interact with the people in attendance and the other players.
Behind the home plate area and next to the concession stand I was surprised to see that they had a booth set up for the National Guard. They were giving away free stuff like pens, mousepads, and keychains. The public was invited to talk to them about a career in the national guard. There were four to five members of the Guard behind the booth to answer questions from anyone interested.
As I watched the game with my boys I kept turning my attention to the National Guard’s booth to see if anyone was going over to it. Most people were too into the players and the game. I don’t blame them that is what they were there for. I noticed a few people would go over to the table and take some free merchandice, but not too many seemed to want to really talk to the servicemen other than to say hi. I did see a couple of older people stop and talk to them for a little while.
I explained to my sons that the person playing second base for the Red Sox on this day was Oil Can Boyd, the man who won the play-off clinching game for the Red sox in 1986, the first year I was old enough to see them in the play-offs, I was only one in 1967. I told them about how he was a character and I always thought it was cool that he was the one that pitched them into a play-off birth. They know how 1986 ended, I didn’t go into that.
I have always had a warm spot in my heart for Bob Stanley. He was always out there for the Sox, but he didn’t always come through. Most of the time he would pitch well and there would be this little bloop or slow hit grounder that would do him in. I wanted so bad for him to do well, I didn’t know why, but I liked him. In game six of the 1986 World Series in comes Bob Stanley, he gave up the tying run on a wild pitch that to this day I still believe should have been a passed ball by Gedman.
I remember years later hearing an interview with Bob Stanley where he said he came into game six and he was standing on the mound praying to God to just let him have this one moment in his life to shine. Just let him have this one miracle. He said he didn’t understand why God didn’t let him have this moment. He then said that when his child was diagnosed with a life threatening illness, I forget now what it was I think it was cancer, he found himself praying to God once again for a miracle. His son survived, and he said that God was just saving the miracle he asked for on the mound for a much more important one, the survival of his child. That, to me sums up why I think I have always liked him.
When Bob Stanley walked by me inbetween innings I said hello to him and shook his hand. My boys were able to go over to the gate and get the autographs of Oil Can and Jim Corsi. I saw several children over by the gate waiting for the next player to go on deck, the on deck player would sign a few autographs for the children before he had to bat. I also saw several adults who would go to the fence right behind the players bench and stuff their programs through the fence to get an autograph, evidently too impatient to wait in line with the children. The guy doing the play by play said that after the game the Red Sox illumni would be signing autographs, but to be sure to have the Rockingham Law Enforcement people sign your programs also. He said that they are the real heroes. That is when I started thinking about why doesn’t he tell the people to have the National Guardsmen sign their programs also. They, to me, are the real heroes.
I keep glancing in the direction of the National Guard to see if anyone is giving them the time of day. Not many people seem to be acknowledging them. I am going to go talk to them before the day is over. I am more interested in talking to them than any former sports star. The only problem is, I don’t know what to say to them.
The game continues and the Red Sox end up winning 16-2. We ate hamburgers, nachos, and pretzels, drank some Coke and Root Beer. I told my boys stories about the Red Sox when I was a teenager. We laughed when Bob Stanley, who was playing left field, missed a ball that he should have caught and it turned into a homerun, typical Bob Stanley.
Now the game is over and all the children are lining up for autographs. My boys also get in line. I have never been one to be starstruck by athletes, this is when I decide to go and talk to the National Guard. There were four of them there when I get to the booth. I reached out my hand to them and shook all their hands, they seemed a little surprised that I wanted to shake their hands. A little taken aback. I asked them if any of them were ever deployed overseas. The first Guardsman said he served 13 months in Afghanistan, I thanked him and asked him what he thought of the media coverage of the war over here. He just kind of smiled and said he was not able to answer the question because it wouldn’t follow protocol. He was very apologetic and said he didn’t want to get in trouble. He thanked me for asking him, for showing some caring, and apologized again. I think I know what he thought by the expression on his face. Then I asked if anyone else there had been deployed, one man spoke up and said he served one tour in Iraq. I thanked this man again and I walked away. I really didn’t know what else to say to them, but thank you. As I walked away they thanked me once again for taking a minute to talk to them. Now I was the one taken aback, who the hell was I that they should thank ME? I realized that the sacrifice that men like these are willing to make is what affords me the opporunity to take my boys to an event such as this.
Now my boys are just about done getting their autographs and I wait for them to go through the line, I am standing next to Oil Can Boyd. My sons get Oil Can’s autograph and I ask him if I can get a picture of my boys with him, he says no problem.

You can tell by the half smile on my oldest son’s face that while he is trying to act cool he is still thinking that this is pretty cool. The smile on my youngest boy’s face tells you exactly how he feels about today.
As we are walking back to my truck I said to my boys, “well this was fun, wasn’t it?” They both tell me they had fun. I asked them about their autographs and they said that they got all of them. I then told them that on top of that I met a soldier who served in Afghanistan, and a soldier that served in Iraq. My youngest son asked, ” are you going to blog about that?” I told him that I just might.
Before I finished writing this post I tucked my youngest son into bed, as I was closing the door to his room, he said to me, “good game today, Dad.” I said, “yes it was, goodnight.”
Today I spent quality time with my boys. We watched a charity softball game, ate grilled food, laughed, and drank soda. They got autographs of Red Sox players from my youth, and I met some of the people who make everyday life in America possible.
I felt great about this day as I was driving home, my boys and I had a great time, and although I had no idea what to say to the four soldiers who have dedicated their lives to serving our country, two of which have been to the middle-east, I felt as though they appreciated the few moments I took to say thank you to them.
To me, these are the true heroes, and I wish more people had taken the time to talk to them and at least say thank you. As I walked off the field I felt a certain amount of happiness that I took the time let them know that I care about them and what they do.
