John Murtha Ordered to Testify in Haditha Marine’s Defamation Case
According to this article a judge has ordered John Murtha to testify in a defamation case against him in the Haditha marines suit. In case you have forgotten Murtha said that United States marines killed Iraqi civilians in cold blood before he was briefed on the situation. This means he either had inside information or he lied to push his anti-Bush, anti-war agenda. Either way this doesn’t bode well for him.
The Justice Department wanted the case dismissed because Murtha was acting in his official role as a lawmaker. Assistant U.S. Attorney John F. Henault said the comments were made as part of the debate over the war in Iraq.
So he is arguing that he can say whatever the hell he wants as long as it is official business. He is saying he can make up whatever he wants because he is debating the Iraq war. Aren’t you supposed to use facts in a debate, not here-say? The judge would have none of that.
”You’re writing a very wide road for members of Congress to go to their home districts and say anything they choose about private persons and be able to do so without any liability. Are you sure you want to do that?” Collyer said, adding later, ”How far can a congressman go and still be protected?”
Who does Murtha think he is? Maybe he thinks he is Democrat William Jefferson who basically argued that he could keep his bribe money in his office and the police weren’t allowed to search in there.![]()
I hope they nail this man.
Ron Paul Speaks in New Hampshire
Ron Paul spoke in New Hampshire yesterday. During his speech he called for abolishing the IRS, and the amendment that instituted a federal income tax. He spoke in front of about 500 supporters.
Here is an excerpt from his speech:
“Something very significant is happening in this country today. The paradigm is shifting away from government controlling our lives by force,” he said. “People are sick and tired of what’s happening and want to control (their) own lives.”
He went on to say people should be able to keep 100 percent of the fruits of their labor. Income tax is an example of the government controlling people, he said, as are the draft, prohibition on drugs, seat belt laws and other regulations. This may resonate with New Hampshire voters. New Hampshire voters appear to be growing disgruntled (I hope) with Governor Lynch’s ever increasing attacks on the people’s liberties in regards to smoking, and seatbelts, and other Nanny State regulations. Ron Paul is trying to seize on this and run with it.
“The slogan on your license plate would indicate this should be fertile ground for us here,” he said, alluding to the state’s “Live Free or Die” motto.
( In a side note, our motto has been under attack before, while liberal Jeanne Shaheen was the governor, for being too violent, and there are still people out there who want it changed.)
Paul went on to say he is running on the same policies President Bush advocated when he ran in 2000, which, he added, are the same ones Republicans have run on for years: a balanced budget, limited government, personal freedom and no nation building.
“Most Republicans — the leadership in Washington — don’t believe in their own platform; that’s why they are losing,” Paul said.
Comparing himself to the president cannot help his cause, even NH Republican Senator John Sununu has split with the president on the last two bills in an effort to distance himself from the president because he is up for re-election in 2008. However Paul is saying he will be different.
“You don’t get a fair shake unless you join the establishment,” he said
Which he says he won’t do.
Paul seems to have gotten a rather large crowd with 5oo people showing up to hear him speak, however there were allot of people from around New England attending, it is unclear how many people who showed up are New Hampshire voters, although I am sure it was the majority. The article does go on to say that of the people interviewed that there was quite a diverse crowd there. From conservative Republicans to Libertarians, and even Democrats. Who knows, with the Hillary and Obama saying we cannot withdraw troops from Iraq until probably 2013, anti-war Democrats may turn to Ron Paul as their anti-war candidate.
Now that would shake up the race!

New Hampshire Tax Protesters in Stand-off with Federal Marshals Part 14
This is the latest article about convicted tax evaders, Ed and Elaine Brown. Once again there is no new action to report on, however Elaine Brown is keeping an on-line manifesto and she has recently updated it.
We have not chosen the easy road,” Elaine A. Brown, 66, of Plainfield wrote on the couple’s MySpace account yesterday.
“Freedom is not for everyone. … Freedom is hard, it is work, it is constant vigilance,” the former dentist added in her online manifesto, titled “Quest for Freedom.” She tries really hard to have success in her business, you often see her contacting dental seo expert consultants for assistance.
“Ed and I have said ‘enough,’ and even though we are currently unable to leave our home without risking being unlawfully assaulted by the federalies, we are more free now than we have ever been, as we have boycotted any and all government claims on us,” she explained
“We are on dangerous ground with an ever increasing central government that infringes on the states’ rights and on our God-given rights,” she wrote.
“I include this personal account only to make the point of the dangers of a strong central government,” she added.
The Brown’s electricity and internet service has been cut off for months, but they have been preparing for this day for a long time and have generators to provide electricity. They also have many supporters gathered with them, and that appears to be how she is able to update her manifesto. Four of their supporters have been arrested after they left the property.
The Browns have come under increasing pressure since the Sept. 12 arrests of four alleged supporters. The men were charged with helping the Browns escape arrest by providing the couple with food, materials or weapons. All four are being held without bail pending trials set for November.
One of the men being held has provided the Brown’s with armor piecing weapons, much to the disdain of the judge.
A federal judge yesterday rebuked a 22-year-old New York man charged with helping arm convicted tax evaders Edward and Elaine Brown with military-style and armor-piercing weapons for their planned confrontation with law enforcers.
“This is a particularly heinous thing to bring a .50-caliber weapon up to the Browns’ residence and leave it there. Outrageous!” U.S. District Court Judge James R. Muirhead said, noting the weapon’s lethal capacity.
And the beat goes on.

Miracle Baby Born 15 Weeks Early Comes Home
Kimberly spent six months in the hospital but now she has come home. Kimberly was born 15 weeks premature and weighed 10 ounces.

She still has a long way to go, but she has already come far.
Her mother re-calls the days in the hospital:
Petra Mueller, 38, who remained at her daughter’s bedside in intensive care at the University Clinic in Goettingen, was allowed only to stroke her with her finger.
“It was the nicest thing when she would grip my finger in her tiny hands,” she recalled.
“She was like a little bear gripping a tree trunk, just hanging on for life as if she was saying ‘Don’t leave me, mummy’.”
Even at this early stage in her development she could feel her mother’s touch and could also respond to her. A simple calculation of a full term pregnancy at 40 weeks minus the weeks premature tell us that this baby was born at 25 weeks of prenancy.
The definition of late term abortion from wikipedia:
A late-term abortion often refers to an induced abortion procedure that occurs after the 20th week of gestation.
Three articles published in 1998 in the same issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association could not agree on the definition. Two of the JAMA articles chose the 20th week of gestation to be the point where an abortion procedure would be considered late-term.The third JAMA article chose the third trimester, or 27th week of gestation.
The point at which an abortion becomes late-term is often related to the “viability” (ability to survive outside the uterus) of the fetus. Sometimes late-term abortions are referred to as post-viability abortions. However, viability varies greatly between pregnancies. Nearly all pregnancies are viable after the 27th week, and almost no pregnancies are viable before the 20th week. Everything in between is a “grey area”.
There isn’t a clear consensus on when an abortion can be considered late term, but 20 weeks appears to be appropriate. Abortions have been performed up to 24 weeks gestation. So I ask you, does this procedure seem acceptable to you? Was this baby not a life until it was born? How can a civilized society permit this procedure to take place?
And just in case you are still unswayed, look at the three most popular procedures for performing a late term abortion from www.allaboutlifechallenges.org
There are three general procedures of late-term abortions and partial birth abortions. The first and most popular is called D&E (Dilation and evacuation). Once the cervix is dilated, the fetus is removed by inserting forceps into the uterus. The Fetus is then separated into pieces. These “pieces” of your baby will be removed one at a time. Vacuum aspiration is then used to ensure no tissue remains in the uterus.
The second procedure is early induction of labor. This is very painful and intense for the woman and is rarely used as an abortion procedure.
The third procedure is called Intact D&X surgery. This procedure includes a 2-3 day process to gradually dilate the cervix using sticks of seaweed which absorb fluid and swell. Once this process is finished, the doctor uses forceps and grasps the baby’s leg to turn it to breech position. The baby is then pulled out of the birth canal, leaving the head inside the canal. An incision is then made at the base of the baby’s skull and the brain tissue is removed, causing the skull to collapse. The entire baby is then removed.
John Edwards says all Black People are Criminals
“We cannot build enough prisons to solve this problem. And the idea that we can keep incarcerating and keep incarcerating — pretty soon we’re not going to have a young African-American male population in America. They’re all going to be in prison or dead. One of the two.”
That was John Edwards’ answer to a question about inner-city kids and violence. He is saying that all black Americans are criminals, at least that is the way I interpret it. Can you imagine if Romney or Rudy said this?
I am not going to spend any more of my time on this because Edwards isn’t a viable candidate anyway, but I just wanted to show everyone what a racist John Edwards really is.
New Hampshire Dad Attacks Boy for Having Sex With His Daughter, and the repeal of the Parental Notification Law
This is a story that has the people of New Hampshire seemingly evenly split. This is a story about a boyfriend and girlfriend who skipped school to have sex. There was a little problem here though, besides skipping school, you see the boy is seventeen and the girl is fifteen. She is six months away from the age of consent. The boy is going to be charged with sexual assault and tried as an adult. These charges are a Class A misdemeanor offense and is punishable by up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine. He may also have to file as a sex offender, all though that seems unlikely, however he will be required by law to report the arrest on college and job applications.
That takes us to the second chapter of the story. When the girl didn’t show up for school a call was placed to her father. When her father found out why she skipped school he decided to take justice into his own hands. In other words, he beat the crap out of the boy after school on school property. He is also being charged with a crime, simple assault, a Class B felony.
I can see both sides of the argument in both arrests. The boy was having sex with his girlfriend, it’s not like he was some older man who convinced a girl to have sex with him. But she was still a minor, and the law is the law. The father was trying to protect his daughter, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize you can’t go on school property and beat the hell out of a student. However, I am not going to use this post to discuss the merits of either side of this story, I am going to take this post in a different direction.
The issue I want to discuss is not fully related to the story above, but it could be, and maybe we will find out that it is related some day. I am talking about the repeal of the parental notification law in New Hampshire, I have touched on this here, and here.
The parental notification law stated that a minor’s parents had to be notified 48 hours before their daughter received an abortion. But liberal John Lynch decided that the parents didn’t have the right to know their daughter was having an intrusive medical procedure, so he repealed it.
This story above illustrates a kind of hypocrisy here, if that is the right word. The state has decided that a fifteen year old girl isn’t mature enough to consent to sex willingly. She doesn’t really understand what she is getting into, and the possible dangers or consequences of sex. One of those consequences is pregnancy, that goes without saying. But there are far worse diseases out there, yes I just called pregnancy a disease because in the eyes of the pro abortion crowd pregnancy is nothing more than a disease or an inconvenience that can easily be cured.
So while a minor girl isn’t mature enough to have sex and understand what she is doing or the possible consequences, the liberal Governor John Lynch repeals the parental notification law and in effect the state now says a minor is mature enough to make a decision about abortion. If a minor cannot make a decision about having sex while she is a minor, how the hell can the state believe she can make the decision to kill her baby, how is she mature enough to make that decision?
The simple fact here is that the repeal of the parental notification law in New Hampshire wasn’t about the child’s right to privacy, it is about stopping ANY restriction on abortion. The left is so afraid that a restriction on abortion will get the pro choice movement a head of steam and that the restrictions will keep on coming. That is totally unacceptable, and if it means that a minor girl engages in sex with an adult illegally, thus opening herself up to the risks of pregnancy, AIDS, herpies, and the like that is fine just as long as she can terminate her little inconvenience without fear that her parents might find out. What is wrong with having to tell your parents you are pregnant? I know it can’t be easy, and I know the girl fears the repercussions, but the parent has a right to know. Maybe, just maybe the parents will sit down with the girl and explain to her the other risks of unprotected sex, the risks that can kill her. And to me that is much more important than protecting the right to an abortion.
Cigarette Police in Tennessee Using Surveillance to Crack Down on Smokers
This is a case of what happens when you get greedy and over tax something. To sum it up beginning on July 1st of this year Tennessee raised the cigarette tax from .20 cents a pack to .62 cents a pack. There are eight states that border Tennessee and all of them have much lower cigarette taxes. Naturally Tennessee residents are crossing the border to save up to .45 cents a pack.
Cigarette taxes aren’t designed to help smokers quit as the liberals would have you believe, they are just an opportunity for liberals to make a profit off of an addiction. If they truly wanted you to quit smoking they would ban cigarettes, but they won’t because the money is too good.
Tennessee raised the taxes so high that many, many Tennessee residents are going elsewhere for their cigarettes, and that is where the problem lies. Tennessee has so over taxed cigarettes they are now losing too much money to other states, and they can’t have that.
The idea is for the monitoring agent to spot a person buying cigarettes in volume at an out-of-state market, then departing in a vehicle with Tennessee license tags. Starting today, monitoring agents spotting such a suspect will call an arresting agent who will stop the car when it enters Tennessee, he said.
You may think this is a case of people traveling over the border, and buying cigarettes in bulk to resell them illegally, but you would be wrong. This is simply a case of the Tennessee government being upset that people aren’t willing to pay the ultra-high tax increase imposed on them.
Under state law, bringing more than two cartons of cigarettes into the state without paying Tennessee taxes is a “Class B” misdemeanor, carrying punishment of up to six months in jail and/or a $500 fine. Bringing 25 or more cartons is a “Class E” felony, with minimum penalty of one year in prison and a maximum of six years plus a fine of up to $3,000.
In addition, the specific state statute dealing with untaxed cigarettes provides that vehicles used to transport more than two cartons “are considered contraband and are subject to seizure,” says a Department of Revenue statement.
If you cross the border with untaxed cigarettes you are transporting contraband. This is unbelievable. How dare you save money by purchasing cigarettes in another state. As I said earlier, this is a case where the government has over taxed the people and forced them to go to another state to buy what they want. The government tries to push the envelope with taxes, but eventually the people reach a breaking point and that seems to be happening here. So now it’s up to the government to crack down on these scofflaws who are trying to save a few dollars.
Latest New Hampshire Republican Presidential Poll (09-26)
In July, Romney led Giuliani, 33 to 18 percent with Thompson at 13 percent and McCain at 12 percent in New Hampshire. That has now changed rather significantly.
According to the latest New Hampshire poll:
The University of New Hampshire’s latest poll, conducted for CNN and WMUR, shows Romney and Rudy Giuliani in a virtual tie, with 23 percent of likely GOP presidential primary voters favoring Romney, 22 percent favoring Giuliani, 17 percent favoring McCain and 12 percent favoring Fred Thompson.
Romney and Rudy are now tied, and McCain has made a slight push up from 12% to 17%. I believe Thompson’s decision not to participate in the last New Hampshire debate has hurt him here. But, as this poll shows, it is still very early and things can change rapidly.
Democrat Rep. John Dingell Exposes the True Agenda Behind Global Warming
![]()
One of the issues I like to write about now and then is global warming. I believe that global warming is a serious issue and needs to be dealt with before life as we know it is over. Our lifestyles are about to change and we need to do something about it. NOW! What we need to do about it is educate and enlighten the people of America to the true purpose that global warming is being used for.
The people who are the leading advocates for curbing global warming are politicians, that should make you nervous, it makes me nervous. The reason that politicians are the leading voices on climate change is because there is an agenda that they are driving. The agenda is twofold:
- More government control and regulations
- Tax increases
Regulations and taxes go hand in hand. The more regulations the government imposes on anything, the more fees and fines the people have to pay. The same is true of global warming. Al Gore and others have already started talking about carbon footprints, and carbon offsets. Carbon offsets are nothing but fees (taxes) that are paid to supposedly offset your carbon use. As of right now these fraudulent carbon offsets are voluntary, but only for now. Once people are used to the terms and the policies it will slowly but surely become mandatory.
We are already hearing about more taxes coming to Britian, (where people are starting to question global warming), and Canada to save the environment. Europe is also on board with these new environment friendly taxes.
And now, Democrats finally admit they are going to tax the hell out of us to save the earth.
Dealing with global warming will be painful, says one of the most powerful Democrats in Congress. To back up his claim he is proposing a recipe many people won’t like _ a 50-cent gasoline tax, a carbon tax and scaling back tax breaks for some home owners.
“I’m trying to have everybody understand that this is going to cost and that it’s going to have a measure of pain that you’re not going to like,” Rep. John Dingell
So much for the little people, huh? Who would a fifty cent increase in the gas tax hurt the most? Poor people and middle class, that’s who. How do these people get away with saying that they are the ones that protect the interest of the average American? Wake up people! If we vote these people into office next year WE WILL ALL PAY!
Now let me get this straight, because I am confused. Didn’t the Democrats want to investigate the oil companies for windfall profits? Doesn’t the far left believe we went to war in Iraq for oil, and that is why the gas prices are so high? Don’t they believe that George W Bush is raking in millions in oil revenue? That is what I thought, I must be wong though, because if they were so upset at the price of oil and gas they would never RAISE the price of gas on us average Americans, would they? HELL YES! They care about one thing and one thing only, and that is getting their greedy little hands into your wallets, and this is just another scam to do just that.
That is what we are in for if the Democrats win a larger margin in the house and senate as well as the whitehouse. The global warming hoax will lead to further taxation if the Democrats gain more control. That, coupled with an immigration amnesty bill that will surely pass if the Democrats win a larger majority are two things to think about when you step into the voting booth next November.
This scares the hell out of me!
Video: New Hampshire Ex-Governor Jeanne Shaheen’s Real Record
Ex New Hampshire Governor Jeanne Shaheen, who left the governorship to pursue a senate bid that she lost to John Sununu is now running again for senate in a rematch. This seems like a good opportunity to revisit the Jeanne Shaheen era, lest we forget. Watch this video to remember.
