Donald Trump officially wins the Electoral College vote

December 19, 2016

I think one of the most over-hyped stories over the last couple of weeks was the attempt at stopping Donald Trump through the use of the Electoral College faithless electors. It was never going to happen and I think with the exception of some of the people in the alt-left everyone knew this was a foregone conclusion.

Today Donald Trump officially became the President-elect when he surpassed 270 votes in the Electoral College. Ironically there were a few faithless electors but most of them turned against Hillary Clinton. Here is more:

More Democratic electors are defecting than Republicans in the Electoral College vote so far.

Four Democratic electors in Washington state cast votes for candidates other than Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who carried the state.

Democratic electors in Maine, Minnesota and Colorado have separately tried to cast votes for different candidates, but saw their ballots barred. Clinton carried all three states.

Ahead of the Electoral College vote, the focus was on whether any voters would defect from casting ballots for Republican Donald Trump.

That didn’t happen. But two Republican electors in Texas chose alternatives to Trump. One, who had said weeks earlier he would switch is vote, chose Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich. The other chose former Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul.

n Washington, three rogue electors voted for former Secretary of State Colin Powell, while one voted for Faith Spotted Eagle, a Sioux Tribe elder who led protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota this year.

One Maine elector expressed interest in going rogue by voting for Bernie Sanders instead, but was told he could not and voted for Clinton.

DNC ignored the FBI’s warnings about Russia cyberattacks

December 17, 2016

For the purposes of this post we are going to stick with the official narrative that the Russians hacked into the Democratic National Committee’s emails in an attempt to help Donald Trump win the election.

If this story is true the FBI warned the Democratic National Committee several times but the warning went unheeded, here is more:

The Democratic National Committee brushed aside warnings from the FBI that its computer network had been breached by hackers linked to the Russian government, according to a New York Times investigative report.

The Time‘s examination of the election-related cyber attacks, compiled through interviews with dozens of those targeted, found that the DNC’s “series of missed signals, slow responses, and a continuing underestimation of the seriousness of the cyberattack” enabled Russia to “roam freely through” the committee’s network for nearly seven months without pushback.

But it gets worse because even after the FBI informed the Democratic National Committee that its system had been breached they still ignored the warnings:

Firewall with Bill Whittle: ‘Fake News’

December 16, 2016

Bill Whittle’s new Firewall video is out and it is entitled simply “Fake News.” He takes on the issue as only he can and brings the whole thing back around on Hillary Clinton’s decision to use a private email server in the first place.

George Soros linked group to help Facebook flag ‘fake news’

December 16, 2016

As if it were not bad enough that Facebook (which was hiding conservative stories during the election) was going to use left-leaning Snopes, PolitiFact, and ABC to start flagging so-called “fake news” we are now learning that a George Soros linked group is behind some of the funding for the effort.

  Here is more:

The organization partnered with Facebook to help determine whether a certain story is “disputed” is financed by billionaire George Soros and a slew of other left-wing funders.

The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) drafted a code of five principles for news websites to accept, and Facebook yesterday announced it will work with “third-party fact checking organizations” that are signatories to the code of principles.

IFCN is hosted by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. A cursory search of the Poynter Institute website finds that Poynter’s IFCN is openly funded by Soros’ Open Society Foundations as well as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google, and the National Endowment for Democracy.

Poynter’s IFCN is also funded by the Omidyar Network, which is the nonprofit for liberal billionaire eBay founder Pierre Omidyar. The Omidyar Network has partnered with the Open Society on numerous projects and it has given grants to third parties using the Soros-funded Tides Foundation.  Tides is one of the largest donors to left-wing causes in the U.S.

What else needs to be said here? I am sure this is going to be on the level…

Wikileaks operative claims the leaks came from Democratic insiders

December 15, 2016

At the risk of Facebook’s new policy marking this post as “fake news” we have new information passed on by Wikileaks which throws cold water on the whole Russia did it narrative being promoted by the Democratic Party and the mainstream media.

Before I get to that we must remember that this whole narrative came from the Washington Post, which without proof made the accusation that the CIA believed Russia was responsible for the hacks. This unconfirmed report has morphed into the CIA is reporting that Russia was responsible for the hacks although nobody in the agency has confirmed it and the FBI strongly disagrees with it.

Earlier today, without disclosing where the information came from, Julian Assange denied the Russians were involved. Here is more:

Georgia Secretary of State confirms 10 cyber-attacks were traced to Homeland Security

December 14, 2016

Amid unconfirmed reports that Russia hacked into the system and tried to influence the outcome of the election Georgia’s Secretary of State has confirmed that the Department of Homeland Security hacked into that state’s system 10 times.

Here is when these attacks took place:

The first one happened on Feb. 2, the day after Georgia’s voter registration deadline. The next one took place just days before the SEC primary. Another occurred in May, the day before the general primary, and then two more took place in November, the day before and the day of the presidential election.

As I mentioned above, these attacks have been traced back to Homeland Security:

The Georgia Secretary of State’s Office now confirms 10 separate cyberattacks on its network were all traced back to U.S. Department of Homeland Security addresses.

In an exclusive interview, a visibly frustrated Secretary of State Brian Kemp confirmed the attacks of different levels on his agency’s network over the last 10 months. He says they all traced back to DHS internet provider addresses.

The man responsible for pushing the CIA/Russia hacking story works for a Hillary Clinton aide and was responsible for crafting the false Benghazi talking points

December 14, 2016

If this story is true the man who is in the center of the Russia hacking story, Mike Morell, just happened to go to work for an aide to Hillary Clinton after resigning suddenly from the CIA last year. Here is more:

Mike Morell, the former acting director of the CIA, is generating headlines for claiming that alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election amounts to “the political equivalent of 9/11.”

Morell further suggested that the U.S. should respond in a significant way to the alleged Russian actions and he has given interviews supporting reports that the CIA believes Russia tried to influence the election in favor of President-elect Donald Trump.

Morell, who abruptly resigned from the CIA in June 2013, took a job that year at the Beacon Global Strategies firm, where he still works as senior counselor.

Beacon was founded by Phillippe Reines, who served as Communications Adviser to Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state. From 2009-2013, Reines also served in Clinton’s State Department as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Strategic Communications.  Reines is the managing director of Beacon.

He is the man who is reporting the CIA believes Russia tried to influence the election and he just happens to have ties to Hillary Clinton. The mainstream media and the Democratic Party have taken his claim and run with it; somehow turning it into an official CIA report when as far as we know there is no report. The FBI, as well as several other intelligence agencies, do not agree with this report which does not exist but that has not stopped them from repeating the talking points.

But speaking of talking points, Mike Morell just happens to be the same person who mostly responsible for crafting the debunked Benghazi talking points:

Absent from the news media coverage of Morell’s statements is that he is known for his leading role in helping to craft the infamously misleading talking points used by Obama administration officials to blame the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks on a YouTube video.

It looks like he is quite the purveyor of fake news…

Donald Trump wins Wisconsin…again

December 12, 2016

The recount in Wisconsin is over and Donald Trump has won the state again and it turns out he actually gained 162 votes. Here is more:

Republican Donald Trump’s victory in Wisconsin was reaffirmed Monday following a recount that showed him defeating Democrat Hillary Clinton by more than 22,000 votes.

Green Party candidate Jill Stein successfully requested, and paid for, the Wisconsin recount while her attempts for similar statewide recounts in Pennsylvania and Michigan were blocked by the courts. Stein only got about 1 percent of the vote in each of the states that Trump narrowly won on his way to the White House. She argued, without evidence, that voting machines in all three states were susceptible to hacking.

The numbers barely budged in Wisconsin after nearly 3 million votes were recounted. Trump picked up a net 162 votes and still won by more than 22,000 votes. The final results changed just 0.06 percent.

In addition there will be no recounts in Michigan or Pennsylvania and in the case of the latter it was found there was no credible evidence of hacking into the voting machines:

“Most importantly, there is no credible evidence that any ‘hack’ occurred, and compelling evidence that Pennsylvania’s voting system was not in any way compromised,” Diamond wrote.

The Democrats, despite once claiming that to contest the results of an election is a threat to our democracy, have engaged in a three-pronged attack to contest Donald Trump’s legitimacy. The first plank was civil unrest but that did not work out; the second plank was holding recounts in three key states and with that failing it is on to the third plank and that is blaming the Russians for hacking into Hillary Clinton’s unsecured email server. Isn’t it ironic these same people do not want to hold Hillary Clinton responsible for putting this information at risk in the first place?

I cannot but help think about the ridicule Mitt Romney faced for calling Russia our number one geopolitical threat not all that long ago. The cold war is over, the 1980’s called and wants its foreign policy back…

Global warming alarmist calls for Donald Trump to kill himself

December 11, 2016

The left is sure acting with style and grace following the stunning defeat of Hillary Clinton at the hands of Donald Trump, aren’t they? The latest shining example of this comes from global warming alarmist and biologist John Wiens, who recently suggested the billionaire businessman should kill himself.

So much for the toleration of the left, here is more:

One of the leading purveyors of climate change panic has described the Presidential election of Donald J. Trump as a “global disaster,” adding that if were to meet Trump he would tell him: “Kill yourself immediately.”

I did not vote for Donald Trump but I do have to admit that I am thoroughly enjoying listening to the liberals become unhinged at the loss. If they do not come to terms with it and if they continue to make silly excuses, such as blaming fake news, they will fail to understand the real reasons why they lost and this will in turn lead them to failing to rectify the situation. Not that I am complaining…

It is ironic that many of the people on the left who accused the right of not giving Barack Obama a chance to succeed are now engaged in the same behavior.
