We all remember during the 2012 presidential campaign when the left ridiculed Mitt Romney for calling Russia America’s number one geopolitical threat only to find out earlier this year that he was right after all.
Now that Barack Obama has commenced bombing targets in Syria I think that it is time to look back at what Joe Biden had to say about Mitt Romney on Syria during the same election.

New NOAA study finds global warming on the West coast is natural and not man-made
According to this article the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the University of Washington, have released a new study which concludes that the warming which is supposedly taking place on the West coast is actually a natural occurrence.

Was the White House fence jumper a left wing environmentalist?
As you have probably heard by now a man allegedly jumped the White House fence, crossed the entire yard, and walked right into the White House without being stopped by the men who are charged with protecting the President. I have not written about this because I found the whole story to be fishy from the beginning and I felt there was more to this story than we were being told. But now I feel I was wrong, however it still appears as if we are not being told the whole story–the mainstream media is not speculating on a possible motive for once.
We have now learned that the man’s name is Omar Gonzalez, he is a former military man, and he had 800 rounds of ammunition in his car as well as a machete and two hatchets. And he was carrying a knife at the time of his illegal border crossing.
Normally this would lead the mainstream media to attempt to link him to the Tea Party or to label him a racist who opposed the President because he is black, but to date the establishment media has been silent in regards to speculation about a motive.
Why is that? How can the mainstream media avoid speculating on a motive when everything above seems to prove he is a right wing extremist? Perhaps this short quote could provide us with an answer:

Last week a poll came out which stated that the Democrats had a 51% chance of holding on to the Senate after the November election. Shortly thereafter Karl Rove warned Republicans that their chances of taking over the Senate was in doubt.
Today Karl Rove came out again and warned the Republicans that the Democrats have a fundraising advantage at this point in the campaign.

Operation Choke Point: The DOJ is threatening banks with audits
I have written a few articles on Operation Choke Point but to date this story has not gotten much play in the mainstream media, so in case you have not heard about it here is what the official goal of the project is:
Operation Choke Point functions as a partnership between the Department of Justice (DOJ) and various other federal agencies which deal with bank regulations, specifically the Treasury and the SEC. The objective of the project is to choke-off fraudulent businesses from accessing financial services, in an effort to protect consumers.
That sounds all very well and good, who would be opposed to consumer protection? The problem is there is a second, more secretive goal, and that is choking off legitimate businesses by cutting off their access to funds. (Centered around gun dealers.)
A new New Hampshire poll is out so I thought I would give you a quick update before I head out to work this morning. This poll shows Scott Brown in the lead over Jeanne Shaheen for the first time.
A Republican polling firm has Republican U.S. Senate challenger Scott Brown narrowly ahead of Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen in a survey conducted Sept. 15 and 16 of 550 “active” New Hampshire voters.
Vox Populi Polling said Brown leads Shaheen, 47 to 43 percent. Click here for the poll results.
As you can see above, this is a Republican polling firm so take it for what it is worth. However this poll showed Scott brown trailing Jeanne Shaheen back in May by a margin of 47-35%. So if the agency used the same criteria when conducting the two polls it at least shows us the race is getting closer.
Benghazi: Did the State Department change the classification of the consulate to avoid adding security?
Today a former Homeland Security official, Todd Keil, testified in front of the Select Committee which is investigating the terrorist attack in Benghazi which left Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith, and Tyrone Woods dead and he had a very interesting revelation which we had not heard before.
It has been widely reported that Chris Stevens was basically begging for more security in Benghazi and for some reason these requests were ignored. However if Todd Keil is telling the truth it appears as if not only were the requests ignored, but the classification of the consulate was changed in order to avoid sending more security to the consulate.

IRS Commissioner claims hard drives are still crashing
Earlier today IRS Commissioner, John Koskinen, testified in front of the Oversight Committee about the targeting scandal. I did not hear the testimony but it seems as if it revolved around Lois Lerner’s crashed hard drive and Blackberry.
It was more of the same; hard drives crashed, along with Lois Lerner’s Blackberry and the records of the emails are lost. He also claimed that the IRS does not employ an outside agency to back up emails, but he forgot to mention that the IRS did in fact hire an outside agency to do just that but then terminated the contract AFTER Lois Lerner’s hard drive crashed. That tidbit must have slipped his mind…
