The Tea Party Patriots file a lawsuit against the IRS seeking documents related to the targeting scandal
Last December the Tea Party Patriots requested documents related to the IRS targeting scandal through a FOIA request but as of yet, and not surprisingly, they have not received a single document. And this coming from the most open, honest, and transparent administration in the history of the United States…..
According to this article the Tea Party Patriots have taken the next step by filing a lawsuit against the IRS, and the Treasury Department, in an attempt to get their hands on the documents which are being kept from them.
John Boehner’s Tea Party opponent releases a campaign ad accusing Boehner of having “electile dysfunction”
John Boehner is facing a Tea Party primary opponent named J.D. Winteregg who recently released a new campaign ad. Here is part of what he says in the ad:
“Other signs of Electile Dysfunction may include extreme skin discoloration, the inability to punch oneself out of a wet paper bag, or maintain a spin in the face of liberal opposition,” the narrator says. “If you have a Boehner lasting longer than 23 years, seek immediate medical attention.”
I have to admit that I did get a chuckle out of this but seriously does he think this is a winning strategy in an election as important as the one we are facing in November? Does he really think releasing something like this is going to help him gain the support in a general election, or even in the primary for that matter? Does he not take this election seriously?
What the Tea Party needs to understand is this; it is not good enough just to endorse anybody against the establishment, they must pick the right candidate and their nomination of Christine O’Donnell in the Delaware race in 2010 should have taught them a lesson, but apparently it did not.
Harry Reid to Nevada cattle rancher: “it’s not over”
I have not weighed in on the story of Clive Bundy, the Nevada cattle rancher who was under siege by the BLM, because there are simply too many grey areas in this story.
However, I did find it interesting that the Feds backed down shortly after it was reported that Harry Reid’s fingerprints might be all over this due to a sweetheart land deal his son, Rory, has with China to build solar panels. This news was broken by InfoWars so again I did not feel comfortable writing about it–InfoWars is not a site I ever use at America’s Watchtower.
Open thread for Sunday, April 13th: The Ultimate Warrior
Here is the open thread for Sunday, April 13th; please feel free to post links to interesting articles and to discuss whatever issues arise during the course of the day. Nothing is off-topic here.
As usual you can follow America’s Watchtower on Facebook and Twitter by clicking the links on the right. I often post links to articles I probably will not be writing about so it is a great way to keep up with what is going on in the world. You can also subscribe to receive email updates and if you do you will never miss a post again.
In case you have not noticed I have replaced the old Twitter widget with a new, fully interactive Twitter widget. This widget updates my tweets in near real time and allows you to respond to or retweet my tweets right from the blog. Is also allows you to tweet me right from America’s Watchtower. How cool is that! If you do not have a Twitter account what better reason do you need to sign up for one!?
Please check out what the New Federalist Party has been up to by clicking on the link to the right. On the NFP Facebook page you will find a link to the party platform. Check it out and if you like what you see we are currently looking for donations and delegates to the states for the convention.
With the tax deadline looming just around the corner I had intended to take the obvious route with my musical selection of the week by posting ‘Taxman’ by the Beatles but my plans have changed.
Okay, I admit it, when I was growing up I was a huge wrestling fan and during that time there were probably two wrestlers who stood out above all the others in my mind and they were Kerry Von Erich and the Ultimate Warrior.
Last week, at the age of 54, the Ultimate Warrior passed away so instead of posting a musical selection this week I have decided to give you a tribute to a man who I loved to watch back in the day. It may seem silly now but this was part of my youth, and he gave me many moments of enjoyment, so it is sad to see him go even though I have not watched wrestling in many, many years.
Enjoy, and I hope you all have a great week:
And a bonus video of the Ultimate Warrior defeating Andre the Giant in less than one minute.
Barack Obama brings back the “birther” issue
With the exception of some Facebook, and other social media posts, the birther issue seems to have fallen by the wayside. When the whole birth certificate controversy first came to light while Barack Obama was still a candidate for the presidency all those years ago I wrote a couple of posts on it because America’s Watchtower writes about the political issues which are in the news and this was in the news. However I realized what this was really all about and stopped writing about it.
Once Barack Obama became president this issue was null and void and nobody can claim that America’s Watchtower was in the “birther camp” for while I have attacked Barack Obama on a number of issues I have never challenged the legitimacy of his presidency based on where he might have been born.
Afterburner with Bill Whittle: Disarming the Warriors
Here is the latest Afterburner video by Bill Whittle entitled ‘Disarming the Warriors.’
Earlier today the Oversight Committee voted to hold Lois Lerner in Contempt of the Congress for pleading her Fifth Amendment right instead of testifying in front of the Congress. This means that at some point the full House will vote on Contempt charges and if this happens the case will be referred to the Justice Department.

Last week Barack Obama took what many called a ‘victory lap’ after the deadline to sign up for the healthcare reform law mandate came and went and it was reported that over 7 million people had successfully enrolled.
Of course the regime failed to mention that many, if not most, of these people had previously had healthcare insurance which was cancelled due to Obamacare so this does not represent 7 million people signing up for healthcare coverage for the first time. And when you force people to sign up for something is it really a victory when they do? He also did not mention that healthcare premiums have risen in the wake of the law at a higher rate than in recent years. Read more…
