If this story is correct Eric Holder might not be the only member of the Obama regime who is likely guilty of perjury because Janet Napolitano may have also perjured herself when she testified in front of the Congress on Operation Fast and Furious.
Here is what Janet Napolitano claimed in her sworn testimony:
In her September testimony to a Senate committee, Napolitano told senators she knew nothing about Fast & Furious until after Terry was killed in a gunfight on the night of Dec. 14, 2010 with an AK-47 purchased at one of the gun stores that was one of the key retailers where federal agents actively let guns walk.
In the same month, the Napolitano told Rep. Jason E. Chaffetz (R-Utah) at a hearing held by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that she never spoke to Holder about Fast & Furious.
Let’s take the second one first; according to one source there are five emails linking Janet Napolitano to Eric Holder which discuss Operation Fast and Furious and Brian Terry’s murder. Read more…
Video: Jay Carney refuses to comment on Hilary Rosen because he knows three people with that name
I thought I would share this video with you this morning simply because of how laughable it is. When asked about Hilary Rosen’s comment about Ann Romney Jay Carney declined to comment because he personally knows three people named Hilary Rosen so he couldn’t be sure if the Hilary Rosen in question was actually the Democrat strategist.
George Zimmerman charged with second degree murder
With the investigation now complete Florida Attorney Angela Corey has decided to charge George Zimmerman with second degree murder for his fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin. In all honesty, at this point I do not have an opinion as to whether or not George Zimmerman is guilty or innocent because we don’t know all of the details of what happened that night.
From what I have read so far it doesn’t appear as if George Zimmerman is being charged with a hate crime, and judging by the reports it doesn’t seem as if this was a race based hate crime, the only question is whether or not he acted in self defense on the night he shot and killed Trayvon Martin. My concern with this news is whether or not George Zimmerman is being charged based on the facts in the case, or if Angela Corey felt she couldn’t afford to not charge Zimmerman with a crime for fear of the public backlash because of the blatantly false news reporting of NBC, ABC, and CNN coupled with the rhetoric being spouted by Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the New Black Panthers. I hope the fear of retaliation isn’t going to make George Zimmerman a scapegoat.
Video: Rick Santorum’s concession speech
Below is the full video of the speech Rick Santorum gave today when he announced he was suspending his campaign. This was a very good speech and I hope you all will take fifteen minutes out of your day to watch it, for as Rick Santorum said, the campaign might be over for him but the fight to take back this country continues.
Rick Santorum drops out of the Republican primary race
Without a doubt the biggest political story of the day was Rick Santorum’s announcement that he is suspending his campaign and will no longer be seeking the Republican nomination for the presidency of the United States. For all intents and purposes this race has probably been over for quite some time, but reality set in within the last week or two that Mitt Romney was going to be the Republican nominee. The writing has been on the wall, and while Newt Gingrich remains in the race he is talking as if he has already dropped out and Dr. Paul is nowhere to be seen. Rick Santorum was the only viable option to Mitt Romney and his announcement today removes any remaining doubt about Mitt Romney’s ascension to the GOP throne.
I believe there were three reasons for Rick Santorum’s decision; internal Pennsylvania polling, the health af his youngest daughter–Bella–and money. Mitt Romney has been gaining on Rick Santorum in Pennsylvania and anything less than a convincing win in his home state would have been portrayed as a loss, and that is an embarrassment that Santorum probably decided to avoid in order to remain a Republican player in the future.
Below is a video I found at The Right Scoop of a recent speech by Allen West which I feel is a much watch. In this video he talks about the national debt, Obamacare, Dodd-Frank and the future of America if Barack Obama is reelected. A stirring speech and done without notes–and to think that the establishment GOP tried to redistrict this American hero out of the Congress…..
There is an old, unwritten political axiom which goes like this; when you are a public figure, or entity, and you have bad news to make public you do it on a Friday night after the week’s news cycle has ended with the hope that by the time Monday rolls around the story will be forgotten. (The Obama regime has made a habit of this with the Solargate and Fast and Furious scandals, but I digress.) And if the news is particularly damning, if it is at all possible, you withhold the news until a holiday weekend when it is even more likely that people are not paying attention. This is more commonly referred to as a Friday document dump. This axiom doesn’t hold true the way it once did with the emergence of the 24/7 cable news networks, but it is still a pretty effective way to bury a story that the person in question wants to remain hidden–especially on a holiday weekend.
Late last week NBC introduced its version of the document dump when someone at the station leaked to the New York Times that after an internal investigation some nameless producer has been fired for editing George Zimmerman’s 911 call. There was no official announcement, no press release, and no name, just a leak to the press.
Gunrunner: Darrell Issa accuses the White House of blocking a key witness from testifying on Fast and Furious
Back in July of 2011 I wrote this post when it was learned that the ATF had shared information about Operation Fast and Furious with a person within the White House. ATF agent Bill Newell is friends with former White House National Security Director for North America, Kevin O’Reilly, and when Mr. O’Reilly asked Mr. Newell for information related to the violence at the Mexican border he provided him with information on Operation Fast and Furious, while reminding him in an email that “you didn’t get this from me.”
So we have at least one member of Barack Obama’s White House counsel who knew about Operation Fast and Furious, but there is more because it turned out that at least two others in the White House also knew about the deadly operation–a Latin American advisory and a national security official. Dan Restrepo and Greg Gatjanis respectively.
Bill Newell eventually testified in front of the Congress and stated that he didn’t remember what the email conversation with Kevin O’Reilly was about and didn’t remember the specifics about the deadly operation, but when audio tapes surfaced which tied Bill Newell more closely to Fast and Furious than he was willing to admit to the Congress his lawyer provided the Congress with a supplemental statement to correct Bill Newell’s “unintentional errors of omission.” In other words, he changed his story. George Zimmerman has been tried and found guilty by Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the New Black Panthers, all of whom have incited the protests which are now occurring in Florida, but there is no-one as guilty in this fiasco as the mainstream media for they have played audio and video tapes which they claim prove that George Zimmerman is guilty of a race based crime while claiming they have shown proof he is lying about what happened that night when Trayvon Martin was killed.
NBC, ABC, and CNN are the main culprits in promoting the race based theory that George Zimmerman targeted Trayvon Martin simply because he was a black man, but all three media outlets are now admitting mea culpas in their reporting of this tragic story.
The Obama regime has been unable to enact any type of comprehensive immigration reform laws through the Congress so Barack Obama has implemented Plan B–grant amnesty to illegals through dictate.
It started when the Obama regime announced a new immigration policy which would basically decriminalize the act of entering this country illegally, granting amnesty to those who have broken the law to get here. Under this new policy an illegal immigrant does not face deportation for entering the country illegally unless they commit an additional crime once they are here. At that point it is too late and a crime which could have been prevented if the immigration laws were followed has now been enabled by this regime.
But Barack Obama and Janet Napolitano do not think that this law went far enough so they have implemented another guideline which implements “unlawful presence waivers” to all illegals who have a legal family member in America. It is now legal to enter the country illegally if the person entering illegally has a legally residing family member in the United States.
These new guidelines will open up the flood gates and allow a whole slew of illegal immigrants to pour over the border, obtain a waiver, and stay in the country legally at a time when so many legal residents and citizens are looking for work, and could use the jobs that these otherwise unwelcome visitors will now take. Barack Obama is acting on his own, without the approval of the Congress to overturn years of immigration laws and one has to wonder if the Congress is going to challenge him on this or allow him to rule through executive fiat.
