Federal appeals court fires back at Barack Obama for his comments on the Supreme Court
With the chance being quite likely that the Supreme Court will rule parts of Obamacare unconstitutional, and in at attempt to further divide Americans, yesterday Barack Obama stated that if the Supreme Court struck any or all of the healthcare reform law it would represent an “unprecedented” and “extraordinary” overturning of a law which was passed by the Congress.
Apparently Barack Obama feels that if a law is passed by the Congress that it must be deemed constitutional. This shows a fundamental lack of knowledge of the role of the Supreme Court, and honestly, it is an outright lie; just because the Congress passes a law it doesn’t mean said law is constitutional. The law might have been passed through the proper constitutional process, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the law itself is constitutional. If Barack Obama was correct there would be no need for the Supreme Court in the first place because the Congress could pass whatever the hell it wanted to and it would go unquestioned.
Solargate: Solar Trust was awarded $1.2 billion in stimulus money, but files for bankruptcy
Another day, another Solargate/stimulus failure; this one involves a company called Solar Trust and it might be the largest failure to date as this company was awarded $1.2 billion in loan guarantees before it filed for bankruptcy earlier today. When the loans were announced Energy Secretary Steven Chu celebrated the fact that this was the “largest amount ever offered to a solar project” and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar haled this an “historic moment in America’s new energy frontier” during the groundbreaking only one year ago. It doesn’t look so historic now, and nobody is celebrating this ill advised decision anymore.
At this time it is not known how much of the awarded money was actually paid out to Solar Trust, but that doesn’t even matter because these companies undergo a review process to determine whether or not they are a good risk before the money is awarded, and with Solar Trust filing for bankruptcy only one year after the loan guarantee one can conclude only one of two things: either the Obama regime knew this was a risky investment and decided to award the money for the political reason of advancing the green energy initiative, or the Obama regime rushed the process (there is precedent here with Solyndra)and granted the money before the review was completed, again for the political reason of pushing his green energy initiative. Surely if the review process was completed and attention was paid to the results this money never would have been granted.
Either way, there is no doubt that this loan guarantee was politically motivated, all we need to do is look at the Keystone pipeline for proof; Barack Obama has declined the Keystone pipeline, claiming that more review time was needed even though a three year review was already completed, and yet it is clear a proper review of Solar Trust was either not completed or ignored–there can be no other reason for a failure of this magnitude.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz–the “charming” woman with the “dazzling smile” according to Barack Obama–appeared on a California radio show to defend the Democrats’ decision to name Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as Chairman of the Democrat National Convention. When confronted with the facts about what has happened in the city of angels under his failed watch, Debbie Wasserman Schultz resorted to the usual Democrat talking points.
But, undeterred by her efforts to defend Villaraigosa, the radio host brought up the fact that Villaraigosa has been hit with ethics violations of record breaking proportions for the city of Los Angeles and reminded her that three of his bundlers have already been indicted for ethic violations, to which Wasserman Schultz could only reply, “is there something else you would like to talk about?”

Who didn’t see this coming? House Democrats are using the killing of Trayvon Martin as a conduit to push more gun control laws on law abiding American citizens. The Congressional Black Caucus is planning on introducing a resolution which would override and repeal “stand your ground” laws in states which currently have this legislation on the books.
Never let a good crisis go to waste is what Rahm Emanuel once said, even if that crisis had to be manufactured, because the end justifies the means. The Obama regime had intended to create a crisis at the Mexican border by selling weapons to drug lords as part of Operation Fast and Furious, but that failed when Brian Terry was murdered so the regime had to sit and wait until an opportunity arose which could be exploited for their anti-second amendment agenda, and now they feel as if they have found it in Trayvon Martin–hence all the national media attention being paid to a local story. This, of course, will be legislation of a much smaller scope than they had hoped when the regime was selling weapons to the enemy, and it comes in the form of a non-binding resolution, but it is a welcome start for the gun grabbers and this is only the beginning.
This legislation is being introduced at a time when we still don’t know the details of what happened that night; it could very well be the case that Florida’s stand your ground law saved the life of George Zimmerman when he faced an aggressive attacker, or it could be a fact that George Zimmerman acted irresponsibly and killed an innocent man that night.
We simply do not know, but even if the latter is the case this still seems to be an overreach and overreaction by the House Democrats. Are we to punish the law abiding citizens of every state for the actions of one man in one state however tragic this story is?
Solargate: $570 million in stimulus money went to two companies with ‘junk’ bond ratings
The Solargate scandal continues to grow; as if the list of failed companies which received stimulus money wasn’t long enough we can now add two more dubious loan guarantees to the mix. The first company is named SoloPower and this company had a ‘dire’ rating by S&P before the Obama regime and Steven Chu authorized a loan guarantee of $170 million; the second company is Abound Solar and at ‘junk credit’ this company’s rating was better than SoloPower’s so they received more stimulus money–$400 million to be exact.
A company called Solopower was cited in a “dire” warning by S&P, which accurately forecast that the firm would “fail to meet its debt obligations.” Nonetheless, it received $170 million in federal funding guarantees, investigators told The Daily Caller.
Another company, Abound Solar, was approved for a $400 million loan guarantee by Obama officials, investigators said. Fitch Ratings, however, had earlier assigned a “junk credit” rating to Abound. Fitch deemed the firm “highly speculative” and “lagging in technology” behind its competitors
One company was predicted to fail and the other was lagging behind in technology (in a field where the technology is lagging behind in general it is even more dubious that this company was lagging behind the poor standards set by other green energy companies) and yet the Obama regime decided to grant these two companies money, and Steven Chu still defends the decision even in light of the fact that taxpayer money was thrown out the window and will probably never be recovered.
If right-wing politics are to blame for Trayvon Martin’s death, who is to blame for Brian Terry’s death?
Despite the fact that we don’t know all the details behind Trayvon Martin’s killing, and despite the fact that there is still in ongoing investigation into the case, several Democrats have already made their minds up about what happened that night. Either Trayvon Martin was needlessly gun downed that night by an out of control George Zimmerman, or Zimmerman was acting in self-defense after being attacked by Martin.
The truth is, we simply do not know at this point. Yet here we have people in the federal government, who should know better, weighing in on a tragic incident without having a clue what really happened and they are doing it for purely political reasons. Need proof? We need look no further than the DNC’s attempt at using the killing to register voters.

Gunrunner: ATF Fast and Furious targets were FBI informants
Last week it was revealed that the ATF had apprehended Manuel Fabian Celis-Acosta in May of 2010 but released him; this is significant because if you believe the government’s official story this man was one of the main people identified by the ATF for arrest in the Fast and Furious debacle. If this were the case Operation Fast and Furious would have achieved one of its main goals, and the operation could have come to a halt before Brian Terry was murdered, and yet the ATF decided not to detain Celis-Acosta because he promised Hope MacAllister he could lead them to people even higher up in the drug trafficking ring.
I do not believe that Manuel Fabian Celis-Acosta was the target of Operation Fast and Furious, and I do not believe that the two brothers he promised to lead the ATF to were targets of the operation. I believe the real targets were American gun owners; I firmly believe that Operation Fast and Furious was designed to prove the 90% lie in an effort to gain more support with the American people for an assault weapons ban as well as the United Nations Small Arms Treaty. The federal government wanted weapons sold in the United States to turn up at crime scenes at the Mexican border to prove that more stringent gun control laws were needed.
Earlier today Barack Obama’s Deputy Campaign Manager, Stephanie Cutter, accused the Republicans of playing politics with Trayvon Martin’s death, and urged them to let the investigation take its course.
His Republican opponents have jumped all over him because they do want to play politics with this issue. The President spoke from his heart on this, it was trying to emphasize with some parents who had just lost a child. By any measure, this was a tragedy and we need to let the investigation take its course,” Stephanie Cutter, Obama’s Deputy Campaign Manager, said on MSNBC today.
“People have to stop politicizing it,” she added. “It’s no surprise that some of our Republican opponents are trying to make an issue with this. But the President spoke from the heart and we need to let the investigation take its course
This on the same day that former Black Panther, and current Democrat Representative, Bobby Rush took to the floor wearing a hoodie in solidarity with the fallen teen; and this on the day that Maxine Waters also took to the floor and called this a hate crime in spite of the fact that all the details have not been made public in this case; and this on the day that Democrat Raul Grijalva claimed the Arizona immigration law would lead to the same type of profiling which Trayvon Martin fell victim to; and this on the day when Democrat Hank Johnson stated Trayvon Martin was executed for “walking while black in a gated community.” This was all done in the presence of the slain teen’s parents because they were invited by the Congress to listen in on the day’s proceedings.
So yes, this has been made a political issue, but Stephanie Cutter, and the rest of the Democrats was well as Barack Obama, would do well to remember that Republicans are not alone, and that the Democrats are not simply innocent bystanders in this story; they are duplicitous in the politicizing of this story, but she didn’t feel it was necessary to also reprimand the Democrats for their role in turning this into an election year political issue.
While Stephanie Cutter reminded the Republicans that there was still on ongoing investigation into the shooting, and while she was quick to berate Republicans for not letting the investigation run its course, she didn’t have one word for Maxine Waters–who has already concluded this was a hate crime even while the investigation is still being conducted–and she didn’t mention the fact that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson prematurely jumped to the conclusion that this killing was race based. Hell, she didn’t even condemn the fact that the New Black Panthers have put a bounty on the capture of George Zimmerman, or the fact that Spike Lee erroneously gave out what he thought was Zimmerman’s home address, putting the lives of an elderly couple in jeopardy.
All I am asking for is a little consistence here, is that too much to ask for?
With the future of Obamacare in doubt as the Supreme Court debates the constitutionality of the healthcare reform law the Obama regime is now trying to claim that this legislation was a bipartisan effort. This is the spin coming from Deputy White House press Secretary Josh Earnest.
How can it be possible that a bill which passed with NO Republican votes can be considered a bipartisan effort? The regime had to go all the way back to the debate over Hillarycare in 1994 to make this outlandish claim. Because the origins of the healthcare mandate–now being called the personal responsibility clause–can be traced back to Newt Gingrich that makes the current law a bipartisan effort. That is quite a stretch to say the least.
