Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders by 28 points in the latest national poll

December 5, 2015

A new national poll is out and it shows Hillary Clinton with a wide, and growing, lead over Bernie Sanders. Here is more:

In a Democratic field that has winnowed to just three candidates, Hillary Clinton has regained a dominant lead over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, topping him by a 28-point margin, her widest in CNN/ORC polling since July.

Clinton leads Sanders 58% to 30%, with former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley registering just 2%, according to a CNN/ORC Poll released Friday.

The poll states a large reason for Hillary Clinton’s growing lead on Bernie Sanders is because of her foreign policy experience. Apparently the voters have not tied her in with Barack Obama on foreign policy blunders such as support of the Arab Spring so it will be up to the Republican nominee to try to do so, but somehow I don’t think it will matter.

Once again I must state that this is a national poll so take it for what it is worth, but with 58% support among all Democratic voters polled that is going to be a hard number to catch and it seems unlikely to me that someone as far left as is Bernie Sanders would be able to pull off an upset in Iowa. Unless of course the former Secretary of State’s derogatory comment about Iowa’s caucus system comes back to haunt her…or if what she said about the system is true.

It was fun watching Bernie Sanders put a little pressure on Hillary Clinton but now it appears as if we have gone from feel the Bern to crash and Bern…

Barack Obama claims 99.5% of scientists agree on global warming

December 3, 2015

Despite the fact that more and more scientists are beginning to question man-made global warming in the wake of the news that NASA has been changing historical global temperatures in order to hide the decline, the global warming alarmists continue to claim 97% of scientists believe global warming is a real problem. You would think that eventually the number would go down, but not Barack Obama.

Fresh off of his global warming summit Barack Obama made the claim that 99.5% of scientists believe global warming is a problem, here is more:

“Whoever is the next president of the United States, if they come in and they suggest somehow that that global consensus — not just 99.5% of scientists and experts, but 99% of world leaders — think this is really important, I think the president of the United States is going to need to think this is really important.”

First of all I think we need to take the notion that 99% of world leaders think this is a problem with a grain of salt. Who cares what they think because they are looking at this through a political prism and not through a scientific prism. They have an agenda that has nothing to do with saving the planet. I would love to know where Barack Obama came up with this new number all of a sudden, but of course he did not site a source he just threw that number out there.

Latest national poll shows Donald Trump in the lead, followed by Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz

December 2, 2015

A new national poll is out which shows Donald Trump in the lead with 27% support, with Marco Rubio coming in second at 17% followed by Ted Cruz and Ben Carson at 16%. Here is more:

Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio continue to surge in the polls. According to the latest national poll from Quinnipiac, Cruz has surged to third place with 16%. That’s the highest score ever for the Republican senator from Texas.

Rubio too is doing better than ever before: he’s now in second place with 17%. This means that Cruz and Rubio are effectively tied and both gunning for the important 20% threshold.

Ben Carson also polls 16%. This means he’s tied with Cruz and virtually tied with Rubio. The difference, though, is that this is absolutely bad news for the retired neurosurgeon. Not too long ago, Carson was tied with Donald Trump for first place. While Rubio and Cruz are on their way up, the good doctor is now on his way down. The longer this downfall continues, the more likely it becomes that he may drop out before the Iowa caucuses even take place.

The Republican establishment begins to rally around Marco Rubio

November 30, 2015

Marco RubioYou have seen me refer to Marco Rubio as the Republican establishment’s Plan B to Jeb Bush. It is no secret that the establishment hates Donald Trump, and I think hate is the right word for it, and they will do anything to take him down.

We all know that Jeb Bush is the establishment’s candidate and in a normal year that would mean he would be our nominee because the establishment would throw millions of dollars into his campaign in order to convince enough people to vote for him–this is how we got both John McCain and Mitt Romney in years when there were actual conservatives in the race.

This year is different because Donald Trump has the money to match the establishment but that does not mean they will not try to find someone else to challenge him if they cannot push Jeb Bush over the top. While Mr. Trump is enjoying quite a bit of popularity right now there is still a voting block in the Republican party that does not trust him and the GOP is hoping they will rally around one candidate whereas right now the anti-Trump vote is splintered.

Newly released emails contradict Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi testimony

November 30, 2015

The State Department has released the latest batch of Hillary Clinton’s emails and I know this is going to shock you but it would appear as if the former Secretary of State was not being totally honest when she testified in front of the Congress back in October.

  Here is more:

Emails sent the night of the attack indicate Clinton did indeed receive updates about the unfolding violence in Benghazi via her private, unsecured email network, contrary to her testimony in an Oct. 22 hearing before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

Clinton argued last month that she had conducted the majority of her work outside of email and that she had been receiving live updates about the attack in person, not on her private server.

November 29, 2015

New Hampshire’s largest and most influential conservative newspaper is The Union Leader and as such it is always a much sought after endorsement for Republican candidates who are running for office, both on the state and the national level.

Today The Union Leader finally endorsed a candidate in the Presidential race and it come as a bit of a shock. While taking a shot at Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Donald Trump the newspaper endorsed a man with fading Presidential aspirations–Chris Christie.

Here is some of what the newspaper had to say in its endorsement:

But nonetheless I am a working man and so I give you Rush performing “Working Man” live from 1974, enjoy:

Is it time to tax meat in order to save the planet from global warming?

November 27, 2015

oxcycleIs it time to tax meat in order to save the planet from global warming? At least one group thinks so. This theory is based on the fact that animals exhale CO2 and because of this they are contributing to the demise of the planet.

Of course in order to believe this theory you have to put aside the fact that all living creatures exhale CO2 and this is vital for the plants and the trees because they absorb CO2 and create oxygen through a process called photosynthesis.

That was a simplified explanation of what my generation learned in science class growing up and it is at odds with what is being taught in the schools today. Today our children are taught that CO2 is a pollutant and I would be willing to bet that not very many people in today’s generation can even give this simplified explanation of photosynthesis. How many of today’s generation know that CO2 is vital to sustaining life on earth?

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

November 26, 2015

Well, today is Thanksgiving Day and I would like to wish all my readers a very happy day surrounded by family and friends.

This Thanksgiving Day has a special meaning to me because one month ago I was not sure I would be here with my family to celebrate the day for reasons that most of you know about. I am so thankful for this day and now I make an effort to make sure I am thankful for every day, I will never take another day on this earth for granted no matter what challenges I face during the course of that day. Every day is special in its own way.

This is going to sound a little strange but now that it is over I am also thankful for my illness in a way because it gave me the opportunity to begin a new relationship with God. I am still working on that relationship, it is a long process after years of neglect but it is a process that I am taking on to the best of my ability and I am learning more every day about what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Again, I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving and I hope that you all have a wonderful day.

Marco Rubio claims if there is a terrorist attack it is because Ted Cruz voted against NSA surveillance

November 25, 2015

With Ben Carson now floundering in the polls two candidates appear ready to take his place as the main challenger to Donald Trump and they are Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz. Marco Rubio is the Republican establishment’s Plan B candidate while there is no love lost between Ted Cruz and the establishment.

Earlier today Marco Rubio, while not mentioning him by name, attacked Ted Cruz claiming that if there was a terrorist attack tomorrow it would be because of the people who voted against the NSA’s domestic surveillance program.

  Here is the video:

You can chalk Marco Rubio up as one who pays the Constitution lip service when it benefits him but one who is willing to ignore the Constitution when it comes to fighting terrorism. He is clearly one who believes Americans should give up essential liberty for some perceived security and we all know what Benjamin Franklin had to say about just such a person…

I cannot and will not vote for any candidate which supports the NSA domestic surveillance program and just for the record Donald Trump supports, or at least at one time did support, the NSA’s domestic spying program. He also once suggested that Edward Snowden be executed…
