Anti-Clinton Movie Banned by Federal Judges
Three federal judges have ruled that a conservative group cannot air their movie called “Hillary- The Movie.” This was an anti-Clinton movie and the judges ruled that it looked too much like a political advertisement. According to this article, the movie will be screened in two movie theaters and released on DVD. Why is this allowed, but showing it on television is not? Our good buddy John McCain. Campaign finance reform is what is limiting this group’s freedom of speech. They are not even allowed to advertise the movie on television because these judges said the ads constitute a political ad during the campaign.
The group tried to claim that this movie was nothing different than “60 Minutes” and other hour long news shows. but the judge actually laughed at them. I just have to ask this, is this this really that different from Dan Rather using false documents that he couldn’t verify while trying to bring down President Bush? Dan Rather’s whole career came to a halt because he ran a story that someone sitting at home with a little experience was able to discredit. Dan Rather knew he could not corroborate his story but the temptation was too great. So why is it that Dan Rather is able to produce a “news story” that was totally bogus, but this conservative group is not allowed to show their movie?
Are we headed back to the days of banning books? The Clinton’s already had a negative article that was to appear in GQ magazine killed. Bill Clinton forced the makers of the documentary, “The Path To 9/11”, changed because he didn’t like the way he was portrayed, and now this latest story. It is scary the way the Clinton’s are allowed to manipulate the media. Is the media being manipulated or are they willing accomplices?
And let’s not forget John McCain’s role in this with his campaign finance reform restriction on free speech. Two of these judges were conservatives, and they were interpreting the law that John McCain wrote. They found the law required this restriction of free speech.
Are you proud, John McCain?
Anbar Province to be Handed Over to Iraqi Control
According to this story, Anbar province will be ready to be handed over to Iraqi control in March. This is great news as Anbar province had been a hot bed for insurgents in Iraq not all that long ago.
In a telephone interview from Iraq, Marine Maj. Gen. Walter E. Gaskin, commander of the roughly 35,000 Marine and Army forces in Anbar, said levels of violence have dropped so significantly—coupled with the growth and development of Iraqi security forces in the province—that Anbar is ready to be handed back to the Iraqis.
So much for the surge being a failure. Gains are being made every day, the war has turned in our favor and yet in an under reported story we find this:
Thus far, nine of 18 Iraqi provinces have reverted to Iraqi control, most recently the southern province of Basra in December
Half of Iraq has been handed over to Iraqi control. Yet the Democrat, defeatist leadership continue to drill into the American people’s heads that Iraq cannot take over control of their country, and they cannot make gains politically. The media just plays along. That is simply bullshit, and this news is further proof.
Democrats, you better surrender soon, we are going to win this war if you don’t!
A case of Voter Fraud in New Hampshire?
The rumors of voter fraud are all over the internet. Predictably, Ron Paul supporters are behind much of it. The candidate whose base believes that 9/11 was an inside job will stop at nothing to prove their man was robbed. This is going to be the case with Ron Paul in every state. He will lose, and his supporters will say he got screwed. They sound like Democrats every time they lose an election.
There are also rumors about people being bused in from other states to take advantage of the same day registration law in New Hampshire to fraudulently vote for Hillary Clinton. I think that same day registration should be disallowed, if a person doesn’t care enough to register before a set deadline, they shouldn’t be allowed to vote. That deadline should not be the day of the election.
I don’t know if many of these voter fraud rumors are true, but I can relay one story that I was told. I don’t believe the rumors that are circulating, but I believe this story.
I had just returned from voting and was getting ready to sit down to watch about 6 hours of primary coverage, if not more, when I received a call from a friend. He lives in the town directly to the south of my town. He said to me that he had a story I should write about. He told me I wouldn’t believe what happened to him when he went to vote.
He walked up to the polling station and stated his name, he was checked off the list and handed a Democrat ballot. Nothing wrong with that, right? Wrong! He has been a registered Republican since 1969! He said to the person that handed him the ballot, “what is this?” to which she replied, “your ballot.” He told her that he was a Republican and she said she was sorry but he was listed as a Democrat, to which he replied, “I have never voted for a Democrat in my life!”
He began to get heated and asked what he was supposed to do, people in line started to notice that something unusual was going on. He was told that he could go over to the registration table and unenroll as a Democrat and enroll as a Republican.
In New Hampshire if you are Independent or undeclared you can vote in either the Republican or Democrat primary, you must declare and vote, you can then go to the registration table and undeclare. But, in a strange quirk, if you change parties from Republican to Democrat or visa versa on election day, you can not vote in the primary at all. So the option of switching back to the party he really belonged to was not an option.
When he was told he could change parties he knew this wasn’t an option if he wanted to vote on election day, so in an even louder voice that drew even more attention to the situation he told the poll attendant that was not an option because he wanted to vote. The attendant told him there was nothing that could be done.
Finally the chairman came over to him, and when informed of the situation, told him that his only option was to take the Democrat ballot and write in the Republican he wanted to vote for. Then he could go over to the registration table and register as a Republican. That is what he did. But on his way out the door he told everyone to be careful because there was something fishy going on.
I ask you, was this a simple clerical error? Or was this a case of attempted voter fraud? How many people when told they were registered as a party member of the opposite party would not put up a stink and just think that it was themselves that were mistaken? If he had not made a fuss and questioned what was happening, he may have simply left and re-registered as a Republican without voting. Did others have this happen and just walk away?
I suppose it is possible that there was a clerical error, but a man registered with the same party since 1969 goes to vote in 2008 and his party affiliation has changed? This man votes in every election and has never had a problem.
I find it hard to believe this was a mistake. I know this post is based on here-say, but this person has no motivation to make this up. I ask you to think about the facts as I stated them and come to a conclusion.
Voter fraud attempt of mistake?
Was this an attempt to disenfranchise Republican voters or was it a simple mistake?
In the Illinois Senate, Obama Refused to Protect Babies Who Survived Late Term Abortion Attempts
This is a truly disgusting story, and Barack Obama is a despicable, human being with no soul. When you hear people say that Obama is even more of a moonbat than Hillary Clinton, and you aren’t sure why, read on.
When Obama was a state senator in Illinois three bills came to the floor that would protect babies that survived late term abortions. These babies that were birthed while the doctor was trying to kill them were left on the operating table alive and untreated until they died. Obama spoke in opposition to the bills. When it was time to vote, this cowardly bastard didn’t even dare to go on record as being opposed to saving these living babies, so he voted present, which is the same as a vote against the bills.
Here is testimony in front of congress by a nurse in favor of these bills:
“One night,” she said in testimony entered into the Congressional Record, “a nursing co-worker was taking an aborted Down’s Syndrome baby who was born alive to our Soiled Utility Room because his parents did not want to hold him, and she did not have the time to hold him. I couldn’t bear the thought of this suffering child lying alone in a Soiled Utility Room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived.”
Taking a living baby to a Soiled Utility Room where they could basically throw him away with the trash, is this how low America has fallen? Where is the sanctity of human life? How have we devalued life to this extent. This story should have tugged at Obama’s hearstrings, but apparently he doesn’t have a heart.
“Number one,” said Obama, explaining his reluctance to protect born infants, “whenever we define a pre-viable fetus as a person that is protected by the Equal Protection Clause or the other elements in the Constitution, what we’re really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protections that would be provided to a — a child, a 9-month old — child that was delivered to term. That determination then, essentially, if it was accepted by a court, would forbid abortions to take place. I mean, it — it would essentially bar abortions, because the Equal Protection Clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an anti-abortion statute.”
What can I say about that statement? This man is so entrenched by the pro-death abortionists that he is afraid if he votes to save a dieing, born baby he will be voting to ban abortion. Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid even favored this bill, yet Obama is much farther to the left than even these two.
This is just sick and disturbing, and he has earned the title of most pro-abortion candidate of all time.
My Thoughts on the New Hampshire Primary
Cross posted on Grizzly Groundswell
Well, the primary is over. The candidates have moved out, headed to their latest destinations. The constant poll phone calls have ended. The relentless television commercials are over, the mailboxes are no longer stuffed with campaign mailers, and New Hampshire returns to normalcy. As the lawn signs come down it is time to ponder what has happened here.
I tried to write this post this morning before work, but my heart just wasn’t in it. The passion was missing. When I sit down and start typing there is a passion that takes over, I know how corny that sounds, but it is true. There is something that takes over when you are fighting for what you believe in, even if it is only from behind a keyboard. I started typing two or three times and couldn’t find the words, so I went to work and decided to think about why I couldn’t motivate myself to write.
Well, I have come down off the ledge and am ready to get back to work. To quote Rocky Balboa from Rocky 6, (yes I went to the movies to see it, and it was good), “it’s not about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” I am ready to fight some more.
I realized what was bothering me, and it wasn’t the fact that my candidate lost. I have been through that before. It was that New Hampshire lost, at least the New Hampshire that I want. In November of 2006, New Hampshire lost her head, in January of 2008, New Hampshire lost her soul.
I am not going to use this post to analyze how John McCain won, what demographics voted for who, or how Hillary won, that has been done by many people over the last twenty four hours. I am going to use this post to talk about the future of New Hampshire.
My head has been telling me for a while now that New Hampshire would go through one more Democrat dominated election this November, but after that I thought Republicans would rebound and regain control. My heart was telling me that New Hampshire residents would be so fed up with the liberal agenda that was passed last year, the increased spending, and the nanny state regulations that a Republican might take back the governorship this year. I know my heart is wrong, that is why you never bet with your heart. But now I know my head was also wrong. The Democrat’s liberal agenda and tax and spend policies are here to stay. It is going to be a long hard battle to bring New Hampshire back to the good side.
So why do I say this? Many exit polls showed John McCain’s experience as a main reason some Republicans voted for him during a time of war. But that can’t be all. Most Americans want the war to be over now, so I find it hard to believe that a majority of Republicans voted for him because of his pro-surge policy. What is McCain most famous for? Amnesty for illegals,(a liberal idea), and blocking conservative judges, (a liberal commandment). He sides with Democrats way to often and even earned the endorsement of Joe Lieberman. This is proof, in his eyes, that he can work with Democrats to bring forth “change”. McCain has jumped on this mantra of using his experience to “change”Washington, ala Hillary Clinton. This is what I think may have drawn in many Republicans, and it is disheartening. The Independents who voted in the Republican party voted for McCain. They are most likely looking for a candidate of “change”.
Let us look at what this “change” encompasses. To John McCain, “change” means negotiating with, and siding with, Democrats. That may sound all well and good. What’s wrong with two sides working out a compromise? I’ll tell you. It’s the fact that liberals never change. They may say they are compromising, but it is always the conservatives who must give concessions to the liberals. In other words when you negotiate a deal with a liberal, you become less conservative and more liberal. A liberal never becomes more conservative. This is the candidate that New Hampshire Republicans and Independents want? A man willing to give in to liberals, just to say he affected change?
Sixty percent of Independents voted in the Democrat primary. They want change, they crave change, they demand change. It doesn’t even matter if they voted for Clinton or Obama, they voted for who they felt could give them change. Again change meaning more liberal. I don’t even need to mention that all the Democrats want change.
The third dynamic that will lead to liberal dominance in New Hampshire for years to come is this: young voters, and first time voters turned out in record numbers. These voters were energized and guess what they wanted- change. More liberalism.
Republicans in New Hampshire ready to compromise their principles, coupled with an angry and motivated Democrat base, and left leaning Independent vote, followed by young uninformed liberal voters who will be voting for years to come, means that New Hampshire’s independent, (note the small i and not the capitol I), citizens are going to become a thing of the past as we slowly fade into nanny state zombies who need to be told what is good and bad for us.
New Hampshire’s liberal dominated government is here to stay for a long while. I realized that I, and all the other conservatives out there in New Hampshire, took a beating yesterday. I was bloodied and beaten, but I have risen off the mat and am now ready to continue the fight for what I believe in.
New Hampshire Primary Thoughts Later this Evening
I am still trying to comprehend what happened here last night. I will have a post tonight on my thoughts 24 hours after the results. You can read my analysis I wrote last night as the results were coming in on the Veracifier website. Here is the link.
New Hampshire Primary Morning Poll
Here are the numbers just two hours before polls open in New Hampshire:
Obama was the choice of 39 percent of voters, with Hillary Clinton in second at 30 percent.
John Edwards has remained steady at 16 percent, Bill Richardson was unchanged at 7 percent, and Dennis Kucinich dipped to 1 percent.
Republicans:
McCain was the choice of 31 percent, compared to Mitt Romney’s 26 percent.
Mike Huckabee dipped 1 point to 13 percent, and Rudy Giuliani dropped 1 point to 10 percent. Ron Paul was also at 10 percent, followed by Duncan Hunter at 2 percent and Fred Thompson at 1 percent.
New Hampshire Independents, it’s up to You
Cross posted on Grizzly Groundswell
The primary is upon us. Tomorrow we head to the polls, and I want to ask all you New Hampshire Independents, what kind of country do you want? I keep hearing about this independent streak New Hampshire has and I find it ironic that the Independent voters are on the verge of voting for Obama and McCain.
I want the media to stop telling me how independent the voters of New Hampshire are when most of these independent voters are on the verge of voting for a big government liberal whose goal is to get as many people as dependent on the government as possible. The fact that a majority of the Independents are going to vote in the Democrat primary isn’t as unnerving to me as the Independent who are planning to vote in the Republican primary. The Independents voting in the Democrat primary are left leaning anyway or they wouldn’t vote for Obama in the first place. The Independent voters who are voting in the Republican party are the voters who scare me.
Independent voters who are planning on voting in the Republican primary are backing John McCain. I find this astonishing, I don’t get it. John McCain is an open borders, illegal alien amnesty giving, tax cut opposer who sides with the liberal on way to many issues.
So now I am sending a call out to all you Independents and I ask you, is this the man you want in the White house? A man who would raise your taxes? A man who would grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens? A man who would give in state tuition to illegals? A man who blocked judicial nominations because they weren’t liberal enough?
New Hampshire Independents take a step back and think about what you are about to do. Do not vote for John McCain. Do not open the door back up for Mike Huckabee to walk through. Our future could be in your hands, vote wisely, we are counting on you.
What Changes are the Candidates Talking About?
Cross posted on Grizzly Groundswell
Most of the Democrat candidates are saying that they are the candidate of change. Obama was the first candidate to use the term. Once this theme started to gain momentum, Hillary Clinton decided to glom onto the theme, much like John Kerry decided to turn anti-war when Howard Dean was using that to gain momentum in the polls. She is trying to say experience leads to change. She wants us to believe that because she is a Washington insider that she can bring change, while Obama say that not being a Washington insider is the way to bring change. I have to say, Obama has her beat on this one. She was running on experience until Obama gained momentum with a message of change so she has shifted her rhetoric to try to include change with experience. Even Mitt Romney and other Republicans are starting to use the term to try to gather momentum and lay claim to being the real candidate of change.
This got me thinking as to what do they mean by change. So far no candidate has told us what the change would be, only that there would be change. No matter who wins the Whitehouse there will be change. The old president will be leaving and the new one will be taking the oath. That in itself is change. And as far as I can tell, that is the only change that will be made. Not one of the candidates have told us what the change would be. Rudy touched on this a little bit in the last debate. He asked what kind of changes are the Democrats talking about. He said something to the effect of, and I don’t remember his exact words, “raising taxes would be change, bad change”. I thought he hit the nail on the head.
Simply talking about change without saying what the change would be or how you would implement change is nothing but an empty promise, campaign rhetoric. I don’t want change for the sake of change. I want real ideas put forth, I want to know what the candidates are proposing. For all I know Obama is talking about changing his underwear.
Voting for a black man would be change, voting for a woman would be change. There has to be something behind the candidates though, there has to be something to believe in. People are starting to believe in this message of change without even knowing what it is. Perhaps they prefer it that way. Just tell them what they want to hear and they will never question you. They don’t stop to ask what changes, they don’t stop to ask how. Hell they don’t even stop to ask if it is necessary or right, as long as it’s different.
Change may be necessary in Washington, but only the right change. As Rudy said, change isn’t always good. We know the Democrat candidates will raise taxes by not renewing the Bush tax cuts, that’s change. We know the Democrats will weaken our national security, that’s change. We know the Democrats, and John McCain, will grant amnesty and in state tuition to illegals, that’s change. We know the Democrats will not be strong leaders in the fight against Islamo-fascists, that’s change.
All of those things are changes, none of them good. So unless Obama or Hillary come out and tell us specific changes they will make I will have to assume those are the ones they are talking about.
Before you go to the polls and vote for change, ask youself- what are the changes I am voting for?
Wake Up America’s Coverage of the New Hampshire Primary
I just wanted to let readers know that I have been hired to write two articles covering the New Hampshire primary for a website called Veracifier. The first article has been posted on the site, it is called “Dispatch From New Hampshire“. I ask any one who is interested to check it out. The second article will probably be posted on Wednesday after the primary. Because of this, I will have my post primary analysis on the Veracifier website. I will still have a post primary post here, but for my analysis check out the link I will provide in that post.
This was a great chance at getting more exposure, and I am excited about this opportunity.
