Ted Cruz’s ground game trumps Donald Trump yet again
In a previous post I mentioned how Donald Trump seems to have a win the state and move on strategy in this primary season while Ted Cruz has a post-election ground game which could trump Donald Trump at the convention in the event the convention is brokered.
Donald Trump is winning most of the state contests and this will most likely give him the delegate lead heading into the convention, however his post-election strategy appears to be lacking when it comes to choosing who the delegates will be. While he is racking up the delegates he appears to lack the ground game necessary to ensure the delegates who are chosen in the individual states will remain loyal to him once the first ballot is decided, and this is where Ted Cruz’s ground game is superior.
This will not be a problem if Donald Trump is able to win enough delegates prior to the convention to secure the Republican nomination, but that prospect is appearing less and less likely which means the question of who the delegates are that are chosen takes on added significance.
This is where Ted Cruz has the edge because while his delegates are bound to vote for Donald Trump on the first ballot they are free to change their votes on the subsequent ballots and because Ted Cruz’s ground game is superior he has been able to make sure the chosen delegates are sympathetic to his campaign–this of course make it highly likely they will abandon the billionaire businessman and jump to the Senator from Texas on subsequent ballots. There is only one band I know of which has ever managed to rock a xylophone solo and that band would be the Violent Femmes so I have decided to share it with you, here is “Gone Daddy Gone” performed live last year. This is an interesting version because the Violent Femmes are a three-piece band and I counted seven musicians on stage.

Donald Trump could win West Virginia in a landslide and still lose delegates to Ted Cruz
Regular readers of America’s Watchtower know that I am not a supporter of Donald Trump in any way, shape, or form–in fact I believe he is a straw man for the Democratic party. However his candidacy, along with the Bernie Sanders campaign, has shed some light some light on the primary processes in several states which show us how the establishment is able to control which candidate wins the nomination which otherwise might not have ever come to light.
We have all seen the way the Democrats have been propping up Hillary Clinton with the superdelegates: Hillary Clinton has what appears to be an insurmountable lead in the overall delegate count despite the fact that Bernie Sanders has won seven out of the last eight contests but has been unable to put a dent in Hillary Clinton’s lead.
But while we have all been laughing at the irony of an avowed socialist having his delegates redistributed Donald Trump’s candidacy has shed some light on the Republican establishment’s hold on the nomination process. We all knew the establishment had quite a bit of control over the process through the money it spent on the candidate of its choosing but I do not think many of us knew the extent of the control the establishment had on the process until it decided to stop Donald Trump at all costs–up to and including the ultimate election of Hillary Clinton as the next President of the United States.
When it comes to global warming Bernie Sanders is probably the most extreme candidate to run for President excepting Al Gore. Yesterday the Senator from Vermont actually admitted some of the effects his radical global warming policy will have on the American people when he stated his policy would cause people to lose their jobs.

Climate change is a “global crisis,” and addressing it will bring “economic disloation,” including job losses, Sen. Bernie Sanders said at Thursday’s CNN-hosted Democrat debate in Brooklyn.
“Pope Francis reminded us that we are on a suicide course,” Sanders said. “Our legislation understands, …that there will be economic dislocation. It is absolutely true. There will be some people who lose their job. And we build into our legislation an enormous amount of money to protect those workers. It is not their fault that fossil fuels are destroying our climate.
I have to be honest with you: I do not have much fight in me tonight, more accurately it has been hard finding motivation all week, and I read no stories today which inspired me to write so I thought I would just share this next little tidbit with my readers. (And maybe it will antagonize the left at the same time.)
Bernie Sanders is about to release his 2014 tax returns and it turns out that he earned $200,000. Not to shabby at all…at least until you think about how much money Hillary Clinton makes per speech.
In that same year Hillary Clinton, who was “dead broke” when her husband left the White House, earned more in one speech than Bernie Sanders made all year–and she gave dozens of speeches.

Bernie Sanders wins Time 100 reader poll as the ‘most influential person in the world’
According to this story Bernie Sanders has won (with 3.3% of the vote mind you) Time 100 poll as the “most influential person in the world,” beating out both our current President and our next President–Hillary Clinton.
Barack Obama came in fourth place while the former Secretary of State, who is actually beating Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary, came in at twenty-fifth. I guess you could say he has been an influence on the former Secretary of State because she has been trying to “out-Sanders” Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary…
I can understand politicians making the list, after all for better or worse they have a major influence in world affairs, and I understand the Pope making the list but someone has to explain to me how people like Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and Leonardo DiCaprio are influencing so many people. And for that matter how did South Korean boy band Big Bang come in at number two? Who has even heard of this band?
But I guess that goes a long way in explaining how Bernie Sanders can come in at number one…

Shoe company claims the Obama regime pressured it to keep quiet on the TPP in return for a contract
According to this story the shoe company New Balance is coming out swinging against the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) but when the issue was being debated the company remained silent. And now we might know why the company was silent when it had the chance to speak out against the TPP.
New Balance is now claiming it remained silent during the debate because the Obama regime promised the shoe manufacturer if it did so there could be a lucrative Department of Defense contract headed its way. Here is more:
Hillary Clinton and Bill de Blasio perform racist skit at the New York City Press Dinner
Over the weekend Hillary Clinton and Bill de Blasio decided it would he a good idea to perform a racially tinged skit at the New York City Press Dinner. Here is how it went down:
“I just have to say thanks for the endorsement, Bill. Took you long enough,” Clinton said jokingly to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.
“Sorry, Hillary, I was running on C.P. time,” de Blasio responded to the deafening sound of gasps from the audience.
“Hamilton” star Leslie Odom Jr., who is black, responded to de Blasio by saying, “I don’t like jokes like that.”
“Cautious politician time,” Hillary said, going along with the joke.
In an attempt to “out-Sanders” Bernie Sanders Hillary Clinton has been campaigning against Wall Street and the rigged system (which is quite ironic considering how the Democratic party has rigged this primary election in her favor) however this poses a bit of problem for the former Secretary of State due to the exorbitant speaking fees she has garnered from Wall Street over the years.
This hypocrisy has not been lost on the Senator from Vermont who called her out during one of the debates and asked her to release the transcripts of her speeches to Goldman Sachs. She said she would look into the possibility but so far that is as far as it has gone, she has not released them and there is probably no chance she will.
Now the story gets even more interesting because according to this story Hillary Clinton has been quietly self-funding a portion of her campaign and it is being speculated that part of the money may be coming from the speeches she made to Wall Street.

Bernie Sanders won the Wyoming caucuses but Hillary Clinton was awarded more delegates
Much like the Republican party is trying to wrestle the potential nomination of Donald Trump from the voters at a brokered convention in an attempt to nominate either Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan as the party’s candidate in the general election the Democratic party, through the use of the superdelegates, is more stealthily trying to control the outcome of its primary season.
The latest example of this comes from the caucuses which were held in Wyoming yesterday: Bernie Sanders won a fairly decisive 12 point victory in the state. In the post I wrote about this win I stated that because Wyoming awarded its delegates proportionally the outcome was close enough where the victory would not mean much because the Senator from Vermont would only pick up a few delegates in the overall delegate count against the former Secretary of State but I was wrong. And not in a good way for supporters of Bernie Sanders…
