Gunrunner: Allen West on Eric Holder playing the race card
Below is audio of Allen West’s comments on Eric Holder playing the race card last week in regards to Operation Fast and Furious and more, I think you will enjoy what he had to say during this interview.
Joe Lieberman is chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee and he has requested that his committee open up another investigation into Fast and Furious, this time to investigate the lack of interagency communication which led to the death of Brian Terry in Peck Canyon.
As I wrote about in this post: The FBI and the DEA both knew that the violent Mexican criminals were in Peck Canyon on the night Brian Terry was murdered, and the reason they knew the criminals were there was because the FBI had an informant in the drug cartel who was also to be present that night, yet they did not find it necessary to warn Border Patrol that something was going down that night.
Joe Lieberman is justified in calling for an investigation into the miscommunication between agencies, but I believe it goes well beyond simple miscommunication because the government was trying to “prove” the 90% lie and knowingly let Brian Terry and the Border Patrol head into a dangerous situation unaware because they did not want to do anything that would jeopardize the true nefarious intentions of the Obama regime and Operation Fast and Furious. These agencies knew about the secret operation, Brian Terry’s death was avoidable and yet the mission was deemed more important than the safety of an American hero and the situation was allowed to proceed.
Brian Terry is dead because of this miscommunication, but I believe the miscommunication was intentional because the Obama regime feels the end justifies the means and Brian Terry’s death was viewed as acceptable collateral damage in the Obama regime’s war on the second amendment.
Hopefully Joe Lieberman’s investigation isn’t simply an attempt to deflect blame away from Eric Holder by deeming it to be a simple case of miscommunication when I believe there is something much more devious at play here; hopefully between these three investigations we will finally get to the truth about what happened that night in Peck Canyon.
Department of “Justice” official admits to three counts of perjury, yet has not been punished
According to this article a Department of “Justice” official has admitted to three counts of perjury but still has not been punished. Sadly this “Justice” official is not Eric Holder and it does not involve Operation Fast and Furious but it does show us that political ideology is considered more important than the law when it comes to the “Justice” Department.
When sensitive documents were illegally released in an attempt to bring President Bush down Stephanie Celandine Gyamfi was asked about her role in the scandal and she repeatedly denied knowing anything until recently when confronted with emails she had written she admitted to three counts of perjury.
Yet she remains in Eric Holder’s “Justice” Department and in fact has been assigned to investigating Texas’ redistricting plan. She has admitted to lying in order to promote a left wing agenda and with a Republican controlled legislature in Texas charged with redistricting the state she is once again involved in partizan politics as a head of the “Justice” Department even though her impartiality is in serious doubt.
This should not surprise us because as we have seen in the Operation Fast and Furious investigation, where those involved in the scandal were promoted instead of punished, Eric Holder’s “Justice” Department doesn’t give a damn about the rule of law because the end justifies the means and if a few laws need to be broken in order to advance the cause so be it.
Where does that leave us as a nation when the top law enforcement official in the country apparently not only condones breaking the law for political reasons, but also seems to encourage it? Alberto Gonzalez was forced to resign for accusations much more benign then what Eric Holder is involved in and yet Eric Holder continues on as if nothing has happened. There is no justice in the Obama/Holder “Justice” Department.
Newt Gingrich says he would arrest judges who disagree with him
During last week’s debate in Iowa Newt Gingrich drew the cheers of the audience when he railed against activist judges; while I did enjoy this attack, because I have railed against activist judges many times in the past, I was concerned about the fact that his plan–much like his plan on granting amnesty to illegal aliens–included setting up yet another government bureaucracy, this one granted with subpoena power and tasked with reviewing justices with whom he disagreed.
In the staple of Andrew Jackson and another one of his heroes–FDR–Newt Gingrich declared that he would simply ignore rulings with which he did not agree. This may have precedent and it may play well to conservatives, but isn’t this the same position that Barack Obama took when he ignored the court ruling on lifting the drilling moratorium which has drawn the ire of the right? What is the difference here?
But Newt Gingrich didn’t stop there.
Is Rick Santorum gaining steam in Iowa?
The Iowa Caucus is fast approaching and will be here before we know it. The only things we know for sure about Iowa is that we have no idea who is going to win, and we know it most likely will not be Mitt Romney. Iowans appear to be looking for an alternative to Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich appeared to be their choice a couple of weeks ago. This puzzled me because I have always heard that Iowa was an Evangelical state and it would seem that Gingrich’s personal baggage would eliminate him from the minds of many of the voters of Iowa; now that he is dropping in the Iowa polls it seems likely that this is probably one of the main reasons why.
Ron Paul is the benefactor of the sudden backlash against Newt Gingrich, and again it would seem to me that his libertarian social views would be a negative in the minds of Iowa voters and could work against him in the end. So where will the voters of Iowa go if they reject the top three candidates? Could it be possible that Rick Santorum is starting to gain steam in Iowa?
Earlier this month Sarah Palin refused to rule out Rick Santorum stating:
“If voters start shifting gears and deciding they want ideological consistency, then they’re going to start paying attention to say, Rick Santorum”
Gunrunner: Eric Holder plays the race card
Eric Holder has sunk to a new low, if that is possible. The Attorney General is unable to defend what is at best his criminal negligence and at worst his criminal duplicity in the Fast and Furious scandal and so he has played the race card, claiming that he is under attack because he is black.
This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him,” Holder said, according to the Times. “Both due to the nature of our relationship and, you know, the fact that we’re both African-American
This is the last refuse of a desperate man; under his watch the Department of “Justice” has been stonewalling the Fast and Furious investigation, has been tampering with evidence and obstructing justice, he has perjured himself in front of the Congress so there is nothing left for Eric Holder to do but attempt to deflect the blame by claiming he is the victim of racism.
The Iraq war is over: A special thank you to the troops
In the next few days the last United States combat troops will be crossing the border from Iraq and will enter Kuwait; while most likely we will have a presence in Iraq for years to come, for all intents and purposes the Iraq war is over.
Whether you were for or against the war in Iraq, and whether you are for or against pulling our combats troops out of Iraq at this time, this is not the time to debate those issues for this has been done for several years now, and will continue for years to come. Now is the time to say thank you to all of our heroes who served in Iraq over the last 8+ years.
These men and women served valiantly and bravely over the years, fighting for a cause they believed in. They suffered hardships which we cannot possibly understand unless we have walked in their shoes and they did it for our country. Over 4,000 of our bravest warriors paid the ultimate sacrifice, while thousands of families were separated and had to live with the reality that the next phone call could be the one they feared the most.
Thank you to all who served in Iraq, thank you to all who have given their lives, and thank you to all the family members who were left behind during the course of this war. You will never know how much your sacrifice is appreciated here, I love you all and will never forget you.
When Barack Obama was running for the office he currently holds he stated on many occasions that GITMO was being used by Jihadists as a recruiting tool and he also said that GITMO was the antithesis of what America stood for and lowered our standing in the world. Barack Obama promised that he would shut down GITMO if he were elected, and on his first day in office he signed an Executive Order which demanded the closing of the prison camp.
There was one slight problem with this Executive Order; he signed the order without first coming up with a plan about what was to be done with the prisoners who were still held there. The Executive Order carried no weight if there was nothing that could be done with the prisoners and once the Obama regime felt the backlash from its decision to try Khalid Shaikh Mohammed in a civilian court in New York City the regime jettisoned the idea and GITMO remains open to this day.
Recently I wrote a post about how Barack Obama’s lawyers have declared that citizens of the United States are legitimate military targets even if they are on American soil, and the recently passed defense authorization bill basically defines the United States homeland as a battlefield and gives the president the authority to use the military against American citizens.
But according to the article I linked to above, the bill goes further than this. Barack Obama has this little prison camp in Cuba but there really aren’t that many enemy combatants there anymore, so why not put the vacancies to good use? This bill has the potential to do just that, and Barack Obama has flip flopped and is expected to sign this bill into law shortly.
Gunrunner: Brian Terry murdered one year ago tonight
One year ago tonight Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered in Peck Canyon because the United States government was supplying known Mexican criminals and drug lords with weapons in order to advance a political agenda. Some of these drug lords–and an FBI informant working with the ATF–entered Peck Canyon on the night of December 15th, and even though the ATF also knew that Border Patrol was in the area they decided not to inform them of an operation that put all Border Patrol agents lives in danger and ultimately cost Brian Terry’s his. His death was avoidable.
One year later, and still there has been no justice for the Terry family as those responsible for his death still hold office. Stating he did not fear death, but feared losing his honor, here are some of Brian Terry’s words; as you read them remember that when he wrote them he had no idea he would be murdered by the country he spent his life defending:
“I will fight you, no matter how insurmountable it may seem,to the death if need be. In order that it may never be said that I was not a warrior.”

Supreme Court to hear case against Arizona immigration law, Elena Kagan recuses herself
Yesterday we learned that the Supreme Court would hear the case against Arizona’s immigration law next year. This news was quickly followed by the news that Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan would recuse herself from this case, apparently because of work she had done while employed by the Obama regime as the Solicitor General.
The fact she announced her recusal so quickly after the announcement that the Supreme Court would hear the case tells me she has no intention of recusing herself from the Obamacare hearing or she would already have done so.
I believe that THE reason Barack Obama nominated Elena Kagan in the first place was because of her work on the Obamacare defense and there is no way she will not hear the case.
Are we to believe that while she was employed by the Obama regime she helped to develop the argument against Arizona’s immigration law, but had nothing to do with crafting the defense for Obamacare? I find that to be highly unlikely and totally unbelievable. (Recently released emails also seem to indicate she was involved in crafting the defense for Obamacare.)
It is my belief that the Supreme Court is going to strike down Arizona’s immigration law–even without Justice Kagan’s vote– so she felt safe in making this decision because the Supreme Court has already ruled that Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4 of the constitution grants the federal government the authority to regulate immigration; the left loses nothing with this decision and gains cover in the Obamacare lawsuit. And that is the political calculation that Justice Kagan made.
As the pressure from the right increases for Justice Kagan to recuse herself from the Obamacare hearing the left can now point to this case as “proof” of Justice Kagan’s impartiality even though the result, in my opinion, was never in doubt.
I predict that when she refuses to recuse herself from Obamacare the left will point to this decision as proof that no conflict of interest exists because if there was one, Justice Kagan has already shown us in the case of Arizona’s immigration challenge that she would have recused herself.
The left will then aim their sights at Justice Thomas and demand he follows the example Justice Kagan set and recuse himself from the Obamacare challenge because of the actions of his wife.
