In order to assuage Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton from their fair share of responsibility for the role their policies played in the civil war in Syria, and in the Middle East in general, John Kerry is now claiming that global warming played a role in encouraging that conflict.

“It is not a coincidence that immediately prior to the civil war in Syria, the country experienced the worst drought on record,” he said in a speech at the Milan Expo 2015 in Italy.
“As many as 1.5 million people migrated from Syria’s farms into Syria’s cities, and that intensified the political unrest that was beginning to brew,” he continued.
“Now, I’m not telling you that the crisis in Syria was caused by climate change. No, obviously, it wasn’t. It was caused by a brutal dictator who barrel-bombed, starved, tortured, and gassed his own people,” Kerry said.
“But the devastating drought clearly made a bad situation a lot worse.”
Because, of course, droughts never happened in the desert before global warming became a political issue. And the Obama/Clinton supported Arab Spring could not possibly be to blame. The world is watching and laughing…

Sunday, October 18th open thread: ‘Lucky’

If you remember in last week’s open thread I alluded to being broken and being able to find the answer if you were willing to open your heart and accept Him and that was a lead up to the post I finally found the courage to share last night because until a couple of weeks ago I was broken inside. Last week the theme was broken but this week the theme is lucky.
Since my ordeal began back in May several people have told me I was lucky for this vision problem because it led to an incidental finding which can now be taken care of, whereas if it was not for the vision problem this would not have been found until I had symptoms and the surgery would be much more dangerous. So, it is hard to feel lucky but I know they are right. Here is Radiohead performing “Lucky” live from 2003. It really has nothing to do with what I just wrote but it is the song that came to mind when I settled on a theme so here it is:

This post is going to be an extremely personal post, more personal than I am comfortable with,but a post which must be written because if America’s Watchtower suddenly goes dark at the end of the month I do not want people to wonder what happened to me. I think I owe the regular readers of America’s Watchtower at least this much because I have come to consider you all dear friends and I love you all. I know it sounds sappy but I am full of emotion so please bear with me because I have been blogging for several months with a heavy weight on my shoulders and now is the time to get it all off my chest because while my fate is uncertain my burden has been lifted.
If you missed my post entitled “Seize the day and never let it go because life is precious” I suggest you read it before continuing because it was intended to be a prelude to this post. If you did read that post I would ask you to revisit it before you continue because I was writing from behind the veil but today I am going to lift the veil and tell all.

Hillary Clinton: ‘A Lying Compilation’

Bernie Sanders might believe the American people are sick and tired of hearing about Hillary Clinton’s “damn emails,” and maybe he is right, but what he and the former Secretary of State are conveniently forgetting is that this is not just a partisan Benghazi investigation by the Congress, the FBI is also conducting a criminal investigation–and they are very interested in Hillary Clinton’s emails.
It is now being reported in this story that the FBI is actually investigating the possibility that Hillary Clinton violated the Espionage Act, here is more:
Three months after Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email address and server while secretary of state was referred to the FBI, an intelligence source familiar with the investigation tells Fox News that the team is now focused on whether there were violations of an Espionage Act subsection pertaining to “gross negligence” in the safekeeping of national defense information.
Jim Webb claims the CNN debate was ‘rigged’ to favor Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders
Jim Webb talked to the Council on Foreign Relations and he claimed the CNN debate was “rigged” to favor Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, here is what he had to say:
“That debate was, I’m going to be very frank, rigged in terms of who was going to get the time on the floor by the way that Anderson Cooper was selecting people to supposedly respond to something someone else said,” Webb explained. “I even turned around to Bernie Sanders at one point and said, ‘Bernie! Say my name, will you? Just say my name!’”
Jim Webb is not, to say the least, the ideal candidate for the Democratic nomination having once been a Republican. Although he holds some liberal positions he also holds some campaign positions on issues such as the budget, the EPA, Obamacare, (even though he voted for it) and the second amendment which is not in line with the party so he is not polling well at all.
Did Hillary Clinton lie about why she flip-flopped on Obamatrade during last night’s debate?
Despite having backed Obamatrade some forty-something times in the past last week Hillary Clinton flip-flopped and announced she was opposed to the deal after “what I have learned about it.” During last night’s Democratic Presidential debate she defended her flip-flop thusly:
Tuesday night, she reiterated that message. Clinton acknowledged that she had supported the deal during her time as secretary of state, even hoping that it would be “the gold standard,” but once negotiations finished, she said: “It didn’t meet my standards.” She went on to defend the evolution of her position. “Like most people I know, I have a range of views,” she said. “They are rooted in my values and my experiences.”
It is interesting to note that she now believes Obamatrade “didn’t meet her standards” because the details of the trade agreement have not been made public and, at least for the time being, she is not a government employee which means she has not actually seen what is in the agreement–or at least she should not have seen the contents of the deal…
This was not lost on at least one reporter and the White House:
A couple of weeks ago Hillary Clinton came out in support of letting victims of gun crimes sue the gun manufacturers and now Bernie Sanders seems to be on board with this radical idea. Although he previously sided with the Bush regime in passing protections for gun store owners he now claims he thinks it is legitimate to let gun crime victims sue the gun manufacturers.

That was a complicated vote and I’m willing to see changes in that provision. Here’s the reason I voted the way I voted: If you are a gun shop owner in Vermont and you sell somebody a gun and that person flips out and then kills somebody, I don’t think it’s really fair to hold that person responsible, the gun shop owner.
On the other hand, where there is a problem is there is evidence that manufacturers, gun manufacturers, do know that they’re selling a whole lot of guns in an area that really should not be buying that many guns. That many of those guns are going to other areas, probably for criminal purposes. So can we take another look at that liability issue? Yes.
Trey Gowdy accuses Sidney Blumenthal of possible war-profiteering? Plans to release emails to prove it
As I wrote about in this post, it appears as if the man who Barack Obama did not want to be on Hillary Clinton’s cabinet while she was Secretary of State; the man whom the former Secretary of State managed to hide on her cabinet by making him a secret adviser while apparently paying him through The Clinton Foundation, Sidney Blumenthal, had a vested interest in Libya.
It also appears as if Hillary Clinton used her position as Secretary of State to promote his business interest in Libya at the same time he was advising her on Libya, a clear conflict of interest if you ask me.
But it might be getting even worse for the former Secretary of State and one of her most trusted, albeit secret, advisers because this is what Trey Gowdy had to say in a letter to Elijah Cummings:
